Amsterdam is anything but ordinary, and the same goes for your stay at The Pavilions Amsterdam, The Toren. Find us in the Canal District right next to Jordaan, one of the city’s most happening areas. Vibrant cafes, creative galleries and quirky shops are right on your doorstep, making the hotel an ideal base from which to explore the urban maze that is Amsterdam.

The Toren hotel is located in the most picturesque area of Amsterdam, the Jordaan. Situated at the prestigious Keizersgracht, the hotel is the ideal base to explore the city, but also to relax and unwind.

The major sites like Dam Square, the Royal Palace and several museums are within walking distance of the hotel. The “Negen Straatjes”, a trendy shopping district with a large variety of boutique shops, is just around the corner. Along the canals and in the Jordaan area there is a wide range of restaurants and typical Amsterdam cafes to spend a nice evening.

ROOMS & SUITES
The Pavilions Amsterdam, The Toren hotel is a unique 40 room boutique hotel occupying two 17th century buildings, once home to the flamboyant lives of Dutch trade merchants. Our two houses are only a 20 second walk from each other.

The decor of each room is unique, with different views depending on their location in the house. You’re able to enjoy sweeping vistas of the Keizersgracht canal, views of the hotel’s charming interior gardens, or architectural highlights of neighbouring buildings.

ROYAL SUITE
When you want to live it up like a king or a queen, the royal suite is a one of a kind space with an open plan sitting area. Reflecting the history of our stately canal house, The Toren is one of the few hotels in Amsterdam offering guests the luxury of a private jacuzzi bath.

Relax in the elegant bathroom and enjoy the jacuzzi bath and separate shower located downstairs and accessible through a unique Amsterdam staircase. The royal suite is located in the private house.

THE LOUNGE BAR
From a gourmet breakfast to an artfully prepared cocktail, our Lounge Bar is the social heart of The Toren. The place to meet to enjoy our expertly mixed cocktails and carefully selected wines. The design of the lounge is a clever balance of historical detail and mystical design elements.

The ceiling mural was painted by students from the famous Leiden University, the same university attended by Rembrandt. In winter, we light the fireplace adding even more warmth to the atmosphere.

THE BREAKFAST
In the morning, the lounge is transformed into a welcoming breakfast room. We serve a seasonal breakfast buffet with made-to-order hot specialities.

COSY AFTERNOONS & EVENINGS
Enjoy small dishes, platters and canapés from our bar menu, complemented by a perfect view of the canal. Ask our bartender to recommend one of our carefully selected wines, a classic cocktail or sample one of the most acclaimed Gin and Tonics in town.

BIKE RENTAL
Discover Amsterdam the Dutch way with one of our real Dutch rental bikes. Using a bike gives you a unique sight of the city and is the quickest way of travelling in Amsterdam. You have the possibility to rent the bikes as from 4 hours or if you got the hang of it a full day or more. Ask our team prior or during your stay about the possibilities.

SILENT GARDEN
Relax and unwind in our silent internal garden. Internal courtyard gardens are a typical part of Amsterdam’s architecture and our guests are invited to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of The Toren’s silent garden. It might be just the perfect excuse for some me time and a good book.

And you are welcome to order a coffee or a drink at our Lounge Bar and take it with you. The reason why these gardens in Amsterdam are called silent garden is due to the regulation of the local government so we respect the surrounded habitats/neighbors. The garden is open to our hotel guest until 23 pm.

Our staff can always try to get tickets for you during your stay, but tickets are not often released by the museum.

During the summer you’ll see locals on their boats, enjoying food, drinks and sunshine. We highly recommend exploring the city by boat during your trip.

Situated on the prestigious Keizersgracht canal, The Toren is a convenient base from which to join a cruise or when looking to stay in a hotel on an Amsterdam canal. Our canalside location means that a selection of our rooms and suites offer one of the best Amsterdam hotel canal views.
