Built according to the latest ecological standards, Dolomites Hotel Tirler embodies two core principles: living life to the fullest and feeling great doing it. Disrupting a landscape like the Seiser Alm would be sacrilege.

That is why Hotel Tirler not only blends seamlessly into this unique landscape, but it was also designed by architect Hugo Demetz to fully comply with the requirements of ecological construction. In other words, every last detail has been designed to minimize the ecological footprint while guaranteeing as great a sense of well-being for our guests as possible.

Planning a Dolomites hotel like this on the Seiser Alm was not an easy task. It took no less than four projects to find the optimal solution and the construction work was also complex.

Every detail at Dolomites Hotel Tirler on the Seiser Alm has been designed for your sense of well-being and to make your vacation unforgettable. Enjoy every ray of sunshine in the mountains, both in winter and summer.

That’s why our Dolomites Hotel Tirler faces south and has a U-shape This shape also shelters a garden for guests to relax in privacy, shielded from the outside world. The U-shape of the hotel also gives guests another advantage: maximum freedom of movement.

As on the Seiser Alm itself, there is more than one way to your destination. There are always several ways to get from A to B inside the building itself. Guests find themselves on a journey of discovery in the hotel and enjoy experiencing the surprises we have prepared for them.

In addition, you can enjoy nature indoors with all your senses, since only natural materials were used throughout: you will see, feel, and smell wood, natural stone, lime, and clay everywhere you look throughout your stay.

As your organic wellness hotel on the Seiser Alm, Hotel Tirler is, of course, much more than just an extraordinary building. It is also in one of the most beautiful places in South Tyrol. Apart from the landscape and architecture, the hotel has a lot more on offer.

For example, there is a wellness area made of local natural materials for taking care of your sense of well-being. You can enjoy South Tyrolean specialties in the Tirler Hut next to the hotel, under the watchful eye of mountaineering legend Luis Trenker.

At Hotel Tirler, we prepare meals to meet the requirements of positive eating and focusing on our guests’ health and well-being. This approach is ideal in particular for those who suffer from allergies and foold intolerances.

By the way, Hotel Tirler is the first hotel in Italy to be certified by the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF). Our fitness room also helps your health and well-being, while the kids can romp about the children’s paradise and adults can look for their new favorite vintage in our wine cellar.

We have no fewer than 270 different wines from South Tyrol and Italy ready for tasting. As you can see, a vacation at 4*S Dolomites Hotel Tirler, the organic wellness resort on the Seiser Alm, offers everything for a perfect holiday. Everything but the ordinary!

ROOMS
Vacation is relaxation and relaxation means sleeping well. In our rooms, built according to the latest ecological standards, a good night’s sleep is both guaranteed and certified. Hotel Tirler is the first hotel in Italy to be awarded “Best Sleep Hotel Gold” certification. This is awarded to those hotels that have made every arrangements for a good night’s sleep.

We offer 28 rooms in four categories. Like the rest of the hotel, each of these rooms have been built according to the latest ecological standards. All rooms are also ECARF-certified, which means they are 100% anti-allergenic.

Here you will sleep surrounded by natural materials and free from harmful radiation because we shield all rooms from electromagnetic waves as much as we can.

In addition, the Swiss pine from which the furniture has been made calms the body and provides the optimal sleeping environment. Oak hardwood floors radiate heat, while the load-bearing structure is made of larch and the walls are clad with spruce.

And we have also found a natural method for regulating the indoor climate. Lime regulates the temperature in a natural way, while clay also ensures the optimal humidity. All this ensures that our rooms meet the requirements of a UNESCO biosphere reserve. All this is designed to meet noble goals: ecological balance, economic security, social balance.

DOLOMIT SUITE
Our family suites are cozy, tastefully decorated apartments, split over two floors. In the lower floor there is a living area, a kitchenette, and a sleeping area with double bed. The upper level has a second bedroom with a bathroom with bathtub.

Each suite has its own front door that protects both your freedom and privacy. You will hardly be able to tear yourself away from the view of Langkofel, Plattkofel, and Molignon. Our family suites for two to six people, truly living up to their names, are ideal for vacations with family or friends.

DINING
Every day we show that healthy food tastes good: at breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the restaurant in Hotel Tirler on the Seiser Alm. Our alpine hut is located directly in front of Hotel Tirler. So all you have to do is cross Seiser-Alm-Straße.

Depending on your mood, you can make the crossing above ground or through the tunnel that connects the front desk and the hut. Our restaurant on the Seiser Alm is located in this hut and we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner here for our guests.

All this under the watchful eye of mountaineering legend Luis Trenker, who smiles from the many pictures on the walls. A statue of Trenker also welcomes the guests in the garden.

We have built our Hotel Tirler to the latest ecological standards, because we want to offer our guests not only an unforgettable, but also a healthy vacation experience. This begins in the kitchen, which is based on the principles of positive eating.

This has a simple goal: contribute to the health and well-being of the guests. By the way, this also includes those guests who suffer from allergies or intolerances, which means we are the first hotel in Italy that has earned ECARF certification.

The most important meal of the day is of course breakfast. Because we know this, we pay special attention to the breakfast buffet, which we prepare for our guests day after day: with sweet and salty, sausage, cheese, and eggs, numerous types of fresh bread, cereals, and milk.

We even have a selection of milks ranging from cow milk to soy and coconut milks. This way you will get a great start with the energy boost you will need for a great day in the fresh air of the Seiser Alm.

THE RESTAURANT
Our restaurant is the place where guests at Hotel Tirler can enjoy culinary highlights. We interpret this in giving you the possibility to taste a wide selection of South Tyrolean specialties, using best local ingredients.

And because the freedom of our guests is very important to us, there are no fixed menus, but rather guests can freely choose from all of the dishes on our menu every day.

SPA & WELLNESS
Swimming pools, saunas, and various treatments: these are the three pillars of our Curasoa spa, the wellness oasis at Hotel Tirler. If you want to restore the harmony of body and soul, our 800 m² (8600 sq. ft.) Curasoa spa is the place to be.

Here you can swim your laps in the pleasantly warm water of the swimming pool, relax in the sauna, recharge in our energy grotto , or be pampered with your choice of treatments. Just what you need after an eventful day on the Seiser Alm.

THE SWIMMING POOL
Swimming is not the first thing people associate with the Seiser Alm. And yet, at Hotel Tirler you have the extraordinary pleasure of being able to swim at a mile above sea level.

Our swimming pool is located in the middle of the garden, shielded by the two wings of the hotel. It’s not only a special swimming pool because of its impressive altitude, but also because it is fed by our private spring, the source of all of the water at Hotel Tirler.

But don’t worry: before you swim in it, the clear spring water is heated to 33°C (91°F), making an outdoor swim possible even in winter. And because we rely on nature through and through, the water is also naturally purified.

In this way, the water is enriched with oxygen, the bacteria in the water are trapped in it, and then destroyed using a special lamp. A swim in our pool is thus a special pleasure in every way.

THE PANORAMIC HOT TUB
If you don’t feel like swimming, but still want to enjoy the water, you will enjoy our hot tub with panoramic views. Located above the wellness oasis at Hotel Tirler, it offers breathtaking views of the beautiful Dolomites and the entire Seiser Alm. There is no better or more spectacular way to relax.

Tune out and relax: that’s what it’s all about in our saunas. Better than anywhere else. When it comes to relaxing, you are spoiled for choice between four different saunas in the over 8600 sq. ft. spa area at Hotel Tirler.

There is an organic Swiss pine sauna, a Turkish bath, a hay aroma sauna, and a panoramic sauna to choose from. In addition, there is a Kneipp course as well as a series of relaxation areas where you relax and restore yourself.

THE ORGANIC SWISS PINE SAUNA
If you don’t like your sauna to be too hot, you will feel particularly comfortable in our organic Swiss pine sauna. It reaches temperatures between 50-60°C (122-140°F) and the humidity ranges between 45 and 55%.

It is a pleasant heat that rests on your skin, while the aroma of essential oils, especially those of Swiss pine, rises in your nose to unleash their calming effect. After just a few minutes, your skin and hair feel silky soft, every pore is cleansed, and your nose and airways are pleasantly clear.

THE TURKISH BATH
Warm, but above all extremely humid: that’s what distinguishes a Turkish bath, to which we can add another benefit – the scent of mountain meadows. The essential oils of the medicinal herbs from the mountain meadows are spread with the steam in the bath, which not only has a purifying, relaxing effect, but also has a healing effect.

THE HAY SAUNA
Our most extraordinary, our most exclusive sauna is the igloo-shaped hay sauna, where temperatures rise to 90°C (195°F), but time the humidity is kept at a low 10-30%. The sauna consists of Swiss pine wood, which can give off its particularly soothing aroma, as well as the hand-cut hay of the Seiser Alm.

This is characterized by a high proportion of herbs, which you can smell and feel in the hay sauna: it stimulates circulation, strengthens the immune system and expunges toxins from the body.

THE PANORAMIC SAUNA
Similar to the hay sauna, the panoramic sauna also consists of Swiss pine wood, dolomite stone and also safety glass. Through this glass you can enjoy an unmatched view of the Seiser Alm, while letting the high temperatures at low humidity work on you. A session in this sauna is not only balm for soul and body, but also for the eyes.

THE ENERGY GROTTO
You come out of the sauna deeply relaxed and continue this deep relaxation in the energy grotto or on the loungers in the relaxation room. There is nothing to be heard here except the sounds of the nearby forest. And they let us continue to find tranquility.

THE COSMETICS LINE
All care products used in the Curasoa Energy Spa are made from natural ingredients. And you can take all the products home with you. We have developed our own cosmetics line from native, natural ingredients, such as mountain arnica or Swiss stone pin oil, from South Tyrolean quartzite and Tirler mountain springwater, which makes our applications even more exclusive.

Anyone who wants to enjoy the care products of our line not just at Hotel Tirler can also buy them here. Our line of cosmetics includes moisturizing and intensive care creams for the face, a body cream, mountain arnica oil, bath salts and a hand and foot cream. These products are perfect as a souvenir – for yourself or your loved ones.

WEDDINGS
We’ve been hosting weddings for years and experience has taught us what’s important. And the compelling landscape is a unique setting for a destination wedding. We all agree that the Seiser Alm isn’t a bad backdrop to make a lifelong commitment.

But this is not the only thing that sets us apart as a location for your wedding on the Seiser Alm. For the reception, we prepare a wonderful aperitif and an unforgettable wedding meal, followed by a night in our hotel’s best rooms for the couple and their guests. If that’s not enough, we offer another benefit: we have a license to hold civil weddings.

ALPE DI SIUSI
Not only is it the largest mountain pasture in Europe, but it is also one of the most beautiful spots in all of South Tyrol: the Seiser Alm is to be discovered in all its facets.

The Seiser Alm, a high plateau of rolling meadows nestled in one of the most scenic backdrops there is, lies in the heart of the Dolomites. In the north, the mountain meadow drops in the direction of Val Gardena.

In the northeast, the finely chiseled Langkofel and the distinctive Plattkofel demarcate the meadows, while in the southeast the view reaches to the unmistakable silhouette of the Schlern mountain. And if you let your eyes wander even further, you can see the Geisler, the Sella group and the snow fields of the Marmolada mountain on the horizon.

In this setting, the Seiser Alm offers a paradise for summer and winter sports enthusiasts, for skiers, cross-country skiers, cyslists, hikers and mountaineers. However, because the offer is vast, we help you with an overview of all that the Seiser Alm has to offer.

The Seiser Alm is an outdoor paradise in summer. So you don’t lose track, we’ve put together six things that you should experience here.

HIKING
With an area of 52 square kilometers, the Seiser Alm is the largest mountain pasture in Europe. It extends to heights between 1500 and 2000 meters and offers a hiking and walking path network that covers an impressive 350 kilometers in total.

And that network encompasses all difficulty levels. But no matter whether challenging or pleasurable: on all hikes you should keep an eye out not only for the panoramic views, but also for what you discover along the way. No fewer than 3426 species of animals and plants that live here.

RUNNING
20 well-marked trails with a total length of no less than 240 kilometers make the Running Park Seiser Alm one of the most popular. The lengths vary as well as the level of difficulty, only the scenery remains unchanged. Unchanged and breathtaking (like the altitude by the way …).

GOLF
From March to November, the golf course in Seis is one of the most scenic in the world. Over an area of 60 hectares, an 18-hole course has been built at the foot of the Schlern. It’s not just scenic.

BIKING
33 mountain bike trails stretch across the Seiser Alm, with something for everyone: for connoisseurs as well as for the aces. And you can even combine pleasure and sport on the hut tour.

One tip though: As much as it’s important to focus on the trail, you still need to stop and enjoy the panoramic view now and again. It’s worth it! By the way: Bikes can be rented from us at the hotel.

It does not take long to explain to mountaineers what awaits them here on the Seiser Alm. Suffice to mention a few names: Langkofel, Plattkofel and Schlern, for example, offer tours of various degrees of difficulty in the footsteps of Luis Trenker. And once the summit has been reached, you will be rewarded with an incredible all-round view.

THE FOREST
Right behind Hotel Tirler lies the Curasoa Forest, in whose shadow a fascinating place hides: the sulfur springs of the white witch Curadina. In her footsteps we have created the Witches’ Spring Trail, which is best done barefoot. At the individual stations you can learn a lot about the secrets of the forest and can enjoy it with all your senses.

THE WINTER TIME
The snow turns the Seiser Alm into a winter wonderland – for skiers, snowboarders, hikers and cross-country skiers. We have put together eight things that you should absolutely experience.

SKIING
Of course! The Seiser Alm is famous for its slopes, but with the ski pass Seiser Alm / Val Gardena it is also possible to discover another world-famous ski resort. No fewer than 84 ski lifts and 175 km of slopes come together on the Seiser Alm and Val Gardena, of which no less than 60 are on the alpine meadow itself.

There’s plenty of snow here, sunshine too, and the incomparable panorama is free to boot! By the way: If the Seiser Alm and Val Gardena are not enough for you, Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski circuit in the world, is open to you: with 460 ski lifts and 1220 km of slopes. The Seiser Alm is part of it.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKI
You hear the sound of skis gliding on the snow, your own breath and sometimes your heartbeat too. Nothing else. Cross-country skiing is a fascinating sport in harmony with nature, and the Seiser Alm is a paradise with over 70 kilometers of cross-country ski runs. By the way, it’s a paradise that the best runners in the world use for their high-altitude training.

TOBOGGANING
Whether you are traveling with your children or with friends, whether you are a beginner or a tobogganing ace: the seven toboggan runs on the Seiser Alm offer plenty to choose from as well as guaranteed fun.

And if you want to go by toboggan to the front door, we recommend the runs from the Williams, the Molignon or the Alpenrosen hut. They end right in front of Hotel Tirler.

SNOWSHOEING
A winter forest has a special allure and the best way to discover it is by snowshoeing. You do not encounter a single human soul, can let the mystique of a snowy forest impact you and relax to the last cell of your body. Is your vacation not about that?

SKI TOUR
If you like skiing, but not the crowded slopes, you’ll get your money’s worth on a ski tour. Hotel Tirler also offers the best starting point for this.

If you want to tackle a classic ski tour on the Plattkofel, you can scoop up your skis right in front of the hotel and off you go via the Zallinger and the Plattkofel hut on switchbacks up the broad hump of the Plattkofel up to 2935 meters. We are ready with additional tour suggestions at the hotel and we also have a few useful tips on weather, the avalanche situation, etc.

SKI COURSE
Beginners get their money’s worth on the Seiser Alm too, but you should definitely learn to ski with professional help. Ski lessons can be booked at the ski schools Schlern 3000 and Seiseralm. Materials can be loaned out from K&K Sports if required.

WALKING
You can go hiking and walking on the Seiser Alm not only in summer. Many trails are also walkable in the winter. On the sunny side in particular, you can also enjoy the mild temperatures.

HORSE RIDING
For those of you who do not like sports so much, let others do the work for you on your journey of discovery over the Seiser Alm. Horses, for example, who pull the sleighs, in which you can comfortably enjoy the landscape while sitting cozily inside them. You can’t get more traditional than that.
