In the Edo period, Tokugawa Ieyasu’s concubine “Oman no Kata” entered the bath and was blessed with two of him, later Kishu Dainagon Yorinobu and Mito Chunagon Yorifusa. Since then, it has been widely known as a sacred hot spring for fertility, and many people come to pray for fertility.
We have created a comfortable environment in a Japanese setting. We offer a variety of room types to suit your needs. You can enjoy visiting 6 hot springs such as men’s and women’s open-air baths, private baths, and men’s and women’s indoor baths along the river. You can enjoy the historic Yoshina Onsen discovered by Gyoki Shonin. In addition, all the baths in each guest room use hot springs.
The dining room is “Kaisekicha Yamizuon”, which was renovated using the building of the Edo period, leaving the pillars and beams and restoring the thatched roof. In order to make the most of the riverside environment, a new deck terrace with a view of the river surface has been installed.
The Onsen/Spa
The oldest hot spring in Izu, Yoshina Onsen, which has continued since the Nara period, has a mysterious atmosphere that reaches from ancient times to the present. The ancient Japanese environment that has been handed down in the land of Yoshina will guide us to the best balance of body, mind and spirit in modern times.
“Mahora” is an ancient Japanese word meaning “beautiful place, fruitful and splendid place.” It means the most wonderful and peaceful place to soothe your soul. mahora spa is a spa inspired by “Mahora”. Like a mahora, mahora Spa offers a relaxing spa experience in a soothing environment.

Pre Treatment/Mahora Ritual (Experience Kotodama)
You can welcome the spa treatment in a state of calm both physically and mentally through a ritual that allows you to feel the ancient Yoshina. Bathe in the smoke from the incense burner and purify your mind and body. By taking “Iri Bancha” using spring water into your body, you can feel the cleansing smoke inside your body.
Drink a small amount of the spring water that gushes out on the premises of Tofu and her Resort & Spa-Izu in a matcha tea bowl, wash away the smoky taste and recharge the energy of life.
Then, in order for you to feel the truth, we will ask you to take a deep breath and utter ancient words that you do not need now, and encourage your mind and body to calm down so that you can receive the treatment more effectively.
- All treatments are available for both men and women.
- Our spa is a complete reservation system. Please tell us the desired date and time of treatment by phone in advance.
- Please come 15 minutes before your reservation time. Due to other customers’ reservation times, please note that we cannot extend the end time if you are late for your own reasons.
- If you are menstruating, have high blood pressure, are unwell, have allergic symptoms, are under the care of a doctor, are taking medication, are taking alcohol, are pregnant or breastfeeding, please make sure to book at the time of booking. Please let me know. Treatment may not be available.
- There are no lockers for valuables in the spa. Please note that the spa is not responsible for any loss or theft of valuables.
- If you wish to cancel your reservation, please contact us by 21:00 the day before. Please note that we may charge a cancellation charge (100%) if we do not hear from you.

Maternity Treatment
