Villa Magia is one of the few villas in Positano that can be easily reached from the road, without having to climb endless flights of stairs. Villa Magia is in the vibrant Punta Reginella neighborhood, thick with restaurants and shops and known for its breathtaking views and quiet atmosphere. This is the only spot in town where you can see both beaches.
Villa Magia boasts all the style and refinement of a family villa, but with five-star amenities like 2 pools, a home restaurant, and snack bar. We also offer a personal concierge who is available for assistance from the moment you book.
The oldest section of the villa dates to the 18th century, and was originally built as a watchtower to warn the people of Positano of attacks by Saracen pirates in time to retreat to the safety of the Montepertuso hills.
The original foundation of the watchtower that once stood on this spot can still be seen from the pool level; in the 20th century two additional levels were added, making Villa Magia one of the largest on the Amalfi Coast. In 2015, the villa became a boutique hotel.
Villa Magia is set on the peak of colorful houses that cascade down the cliffside in Positano. The taxi can leave you near our entrance, which is ideally located for setting off to explore the center of Positano or to take a day trip along the Amalfi Coast.
If you are arriving by car, we have partnered with a nearby parking garage that offers valet service. The Fornillo beach is just ten minutes away, easy to reach via a flight of stairs down through Positano.
You can also reach Spiaggia Grande beach via the stairs, where ferries to Capri and other destinations along the Amalfi Coast depart. If you don’t want to walk back up the hillside to return to the villa, you can opt for a bus or taxi to reach the upper part of town.

Each room has been personally curated by the owners both in the décor and amenities, so is unique and exclusive. All boast a view over the sea and the rooftops of Positano and private balconies or terraces furnished with sunbeds and outdoor dining sets for breakfast. Guests will also find the luxury amenities of a high-end hotel and the comfort and privacy of a private villa.

Inaugurated in 2017,the Luna Cocktail & Tapas Bar on the main terrace at Villa Magia overlooks both beaches in Positano, and has endless views across the water to the Galli and Balena Islets on the horizon.
Here we have created a timeless and inviting atmosphere, where food is complementary to conversation among friends against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful panoramas in the world. Our menu is based on locally sourced products prepared with care by our chef and paired with wines and spirits selected by our sommelier.
THE RESTAURANT
Our restaurant is dedicated to the philosophy of locally sourced ingredients, and our produce is purchased directly from small area farms or picked directly from our family garden. In addition, our herbs and flowers are cut from the Villa Magia grounds.
THE SNACK BAR
Our tapas and snack menu is available all day, including a selection of light salads, pasta, and simple main dishes…perfect for a poolside lunch or snack on your private terrace. You can order refreshments to be served where you prefer inside or outside the villa, with no schedule or extra charge.
THE SWIMMING POOL
Villa Magia has three pools: the main pool with a sundeck overlooking the sea; a heated pool with waterfall; and a private pool for guests of the suite with private pool.
THE SPA

This informal beach is set on a tiny bay that can be reached by following the signs for “Il Sentiero degli Innamorati” or the stairs that lead down from the villa, and has a number of small restaurants.
SPIAGGIA GRANDE
This beach in the center of Positano is the largest and most glamorous stretch of coast in town, lined with chic beach clubs and seaside restaurants and easy to reach on foot from the village center.
LE CALETTE
