THE HISTORY
We decided to turn our exclusive home into a small boutique hotel to enable us to share the beauty of Sorrento with visitors who wish to combine a holiday in this idyllic part of Italy with the experience of enjoying, first-hand, the warmth and hospitality of a local family.
As a child, I used to anxiously wait for summer to arrive as that was the time of year when my mother used to invite tourists and travellers to spend time with us near the sea. I still recallhappy memories of playing in the garden with my new friends.
In the evening my mother, (“Signora Maria” to our guests), was always ready to lay an extra place at the table for anyone who wanted to stay for dinner. At the end of the summer our guests had become our friends and we always felt a little sad when they finally had to leave.
When we built our large new house in the garden I decided to add a guest room. I thought it would be a good idea to have friends over and relive those long-cherished childhood memories.
I could welcome tourists from all over the world and fill their suitcases with good memories. Not only could they admire the beauty of the sea and Vesuvius from the dining room window, but they could also experience all the happiness and kindness of a typical Neapolitan family. I decided to pursue this dream and re-live that very special role that my mother had once held.
When my son recently graduated I involved him in this project. Pasquale loves travelling and meeting new people so he was very happy to help. The rest of our family initially had a few doubts but then supported us wholeheartedly. And that is how we started. We opened for the first time in June 2001 and we have been more successful than we could have ever imagined.
ROOMS & SUITES
Our rooms and suites in Sorrento have breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples and are surrounded by fragrant groves of citrus trees providing an atmosphere of total peace and tranquillity.
Each room is individually decorated with antiques that have belonged in the d’Esposito family for several generations and which contribute to the warm and homey ambience that guestscan enjoy here, at our private Sorrento residence.
JUNIOR SUITE DEGLI ARANCI
The Junior Suite Degli Aranci is our most exclusive room in Sorrento. Luxuriously decorated with antiques that have been in our family since the 18th century, this suite in Sorrento offers stunning views of the Gulf of Naples. This Suite is ideal for guests celebrating a special date or anniversary or for simply spending quality time with that special person in your life.
Every day Signora Maria personally arranges the flowers and tends to thissuite’s private garden. This is why this suite in Sorrento it is named “Fiori d’Arancio” (orange blossom), which is simply a way of paying homage to this beautiful flower which is traditionally dedicated to newlyweds and their promise of eternal love.
JUNIOR SUITE
Our Junior Suite in Sorrento is the ideal choice for those seeking that magical combination of total comfort and complete relaxation. The individually-decorated suite is more spacious than the Deluxe rooms and overlooks our beautiful landscaped gardens. Enjoy the delectable scent of citrus fruit from our orchards while marvelling at the Sorrento and Gulf of Naples views from your private terrace.
DELUXE ROOM SEA VIEW
Our luxuriously-decorated Deluxe Rooms Sea View are elegantly furnished and reflect a meticulous attention to detail. The spacious private terrace is the perfect place to sit back and relax after a day of sightseeing along the magical coastline of Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. The views are sublime: groves of orange and citrus trees with the aquamarine backdrop of the Bay of Naples.

Signora Maria can really perform magic in the kitchen! Every morning you will be woken up by the mouth-watering aromas of freshly baked cakes and other dishes, based on seasonal products and produce. We guarantee that our lavish breakfast will be one of the most memorable aspects of your stay. You can also enjoy breakfast in your room, upon request.
JACUZZI & SOLARIUM WITH PANORAMIC VIEWS
Take a break and relax on our wonderful terrace enjoying a stunning view of the Gulf of Naples. Our solarium is equipped with sunbeds, parasols, showers and a Jacuzzi for up to six guests. LOCATION
The centre of Sorrento is only 2,5 km away from Villa Oriana. You can either go there by car or bus (the stop is only 300 metres away). If you prefer to walk it will take you about 30 minutes. There are many craft shops, elegant cafés, ice-cream parlours and restaurants in the centre of Sorrento which make it very pretty and typical.
Down at the main port, only 150 metres away from Piazza Tasso, you can catch a hydrofoil and go out and discover Capri and Ischia. You may even decide to go and explore the beautiful Amalfi coast and the city of Naples. The Circumvesuviana station is only 1 km away and that’s where you can catch your train to Pompei, Ercolano and Naples.
