Villa Riviera is an outstanding historical Italian Villa originally built in the early 1900s. Completely restored in 2018, the Villa has been transformed into a boutique resort, a luxury destination that combines the highest standards in hospitality with the distinctive features of the Italian “dolce vita”.
The Villa, located at the top of the hill of Santa Giulia, has an unequalled position overlooking the entire beauty of the Gulf of Tigullio, from Portofino to Sestri Levante.
Six luxury suites designed to give you the best comfort, a small gourmet restaurant and great services will assure that you’ll enjoy every aspect of your stay. A magnificent garden facing the Mediterranean Sea and an amazing infinity pool will complete your experience ensuring that your visit will be unforgettable.

Villa Riviera is a boutique resort offering to its guests privacy and relax. A freshly restored 19th century villa combines its historical character with the highest international standards.
A dedicated and attentive staff will take care of you all the time, starting with breakfast in the morning, assisting you during the day with delicious cocktails at the pool for example, or maybe with an aperitif at sunset. The restaurant is open year-round for lunch and dinner.
Villa Riviera is located at the top of the hill of Santa Giulia, just in the middle of the Gulf of Tigullio. From Lavagna train station, take the road towards Santa Giulia. In 10 minutes, you will reach Villa Riviera.
Villa Riviera is the perfect base for guests who want to visit and explore our region, spending some days between Portofino and Cinque Terre (Monterosso can be reached in 30’ by train from Sestri Levante).
Excursions, beaches, historical villages and typical restaurants..and not just in summer! The winter here is gentle, meanwhile spring and autumn provide spectacular sea conditions and a beautiful vegetation. In case of short stay, we suggest you to visit Sestri Levante as well, where you will be fascinated by the Bay of Silence (only 20’ from Villa Riviera).
A good selection of restaurants is available in the area, you will find them in Lavagna, Chiavari or Sestri Levante. During the summer you can reach Cinque Terre or Portofino by boat from Chiavari Marina.
THE RESTAURANT
Once you arrive at Villa Riviera Boutique Hotel you will not want to go anywhere else. For this reason in addition to our design suites we have decided to open a small but great restaurant.
Cosy and exclusive the perfect place to indulge in our food delights. During summer season you will be dining on a beautiful seaview terrace whereas in the winter the service will be held in an exclusive and welcoming interior space.
We offer a complete menu, locally sourced fish and meat, and typical Italian recipes. Alessandro Dentone, chef of international renown, manages our guest only restaurant. Dentone has worked in several prestigious restaurant and his experience has lead him to create his own catering company AD Food Experience and to participate in different tv shows.
His knowledge and his constant research starting from locally sourced ingredients has created in a short period of time a synergy between us, that has led to our “progetto del gusto”, aimed to make our clients totally involved in a genuine Italian food experience.

It will be a very special experience, with our staff and our chef at your disposal to make your stay unforgettable. Boat tours, cooking & cocktail classes, a barbecue or a brunch at the pool. We can design a set of incredible experiences just to be lived.
The basic exclusive rental fee includes: till 14 people accomodation (6 suites – 4 double, 2 double plus sofa bed), breakfast, private chef, reception and concierge. Cost of Food is not included. Beverage is provided according to our list.
WEDDINGS IN ITALY
Villa Riviera is the perfect location for your wedding. The terraces of our garden will host your ceremony and the magnificent terrace will host your wedding banquets. Our chef with its catering service will arrange the menu to surprise your guests. Villa Riviera is suitable only for banquets with 50/60 guests.
When you rent Villa Riviera for your wedding, all the facilities will be at your disposal: our six suites, the pool, the garden. So we suggest to make the most from our Villa and turned your wedding in the best two days you ever had. At walking distance from our Villa, Agriturismo Olivenere has 10 rooms available and it can host till 24 people.
BOAT TOURS
In summer time, the best way to visit Portofino and the Gulf is by boat. Our boat is a 11mt maxi-rib; it can host till 10 people and it’s fully equipped with sun-tent, mini fridge, bluetooth, showers, wc.
