Among the buildings belonging to the historical-monumental complex of Villa Tolomei, the Casale Colombaia farmhouse, dating back to 1534, is today an elegant villa finely restored.

VILLA COLOMBAIA
Among the buildings belonging to the historical-monumental complex of Villa Tolomei, the Villa Colombaia farmhouse, dating back to 1534, is today an elegant villa finely restored.

This ancient rural building, surrounded by the olive groves and vineyards on Marignolle hills, is now composed of 3 spacious suites: two on the first floor, including a master suite with 2 double rooms, two bathrooms and a living room and one consisting of 3 beds and a living room.

The third suite, on the ground floor, can host up to 6 people and it has a spacious living room, porch and private garden. Guests can choose whether to rent the suites individually or the entire Casale Colombaia which is particularly suitable to host friends and families and guarantees maximum privacy for those who stay there.

TENUTA TOLOMEI’S FARM
The Tenuta Tolomei farm produces an excellent extra virgin olive oil and a delicious wine. Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil IGP, obtained from local olives and through mechanical processes, has been awarded by the Tuscany Region as “regional selection of DOP and IGP 2020 extra virgin olive oils”.

The wine, Red Tolomei , has an intense, soft and persuasive red color, while the Rosè Tolomei , coming from Sangiovese grapes, stands out for its pink color and fresh and enveloping.

WALKING TOUR OF FLORENCE 
With our guide you will learn the history and legends of the powerful Medici family who ruled Florence for centuries, starting with the most important statues and buildings in the city.

The route takes place entirely on foot , starting from Piazza Signoria , following the Path of the Principe , towards the Palazzo degli Uffizi , walking on Ponte Vecchio to reach the residence of Palazzo Pitti . The tour also includes a guided tour to discover the famous Boboli Gardens , richly decorated with fountains, water features, caves and labyrinths.

PRIVATE HOT AIR BALLOON 
The balloon flight is a magical and unique experience, the dream of adults and children. Imagine flying over the city and experiencing indescribable moments! The city of Florence is one of the most beautiful and evocative cities in Italy and in the world, remembered as the cradle of the Renaissance.

You will fly over the city of Florence following the wind currents, admiring its magnificent architecture and the surrounding landscape from a totally new point of view.

The experience begins at Villa Tolomei, from which a private car will take you to the place where your adventure begins. After taking part in a quick briefing and meeting the captain, you will be ready to take to the skies! THE MEDICI IN FLORENCE
One of the most important dynasty in Italian history, the Medici family ruled Florence for more than three centuries, holding a position of importance in the politics and economy of the city since the 13th century. Skilled merchants and exceptional bankers, they managed to forge strong ties with the Church and with the most illustrious rulers of Europe.

The Medici were also great patrons and fine connoisseurs; just think that within just a few decades from the beginning of their rule, they made Florence the European capital of Culture and Science.

The tour begins with a visit to the Basilica of San Lorenzo , an ancient Florentine Cathedral rebuilt by Brunelleschi under the patronage of Cosimo the Elder. On the way to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, there will be a stop to admire Palazzo Medici Riccardi.

From the Uffizi Palace, now home to the famous gallery, crossing the Arno river on Ponte Vecchio, up to the great palace of Palazzo Pitti and its famous park, the Boboli Gardens.

THE BASILICAS OF FLORENCE
The guided tour includes Piazza Santa Croce and the Basilica of the same name, which houses the funerary monuments of Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Rossini Machiavelli, Alfieri and other great ones (it is also possible to visit the inside of the church).

The tour continues towards Piazza del Duomo and the Santa Maria del Fiore Complex: Cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery. Also on request we can include the entrance to the baptistery, ascent to the bell tower, ascent to the Dome (availability permitting). You can plan to integrate an hour of visit and continue the walk and finish in Piazza Santa Maria Novella.

The church of Santa Maria Novella is one of the most important churches in the Gothic style inside which there are masterpieces including the Trinity by Masaccio, the frescoes by Ghirlandaio and the Crucifix by Giotto.
