The Manapany is operated with complete respect for and protection of the natural environment. Electricity needs are partially produced by solar panels. The resort produces its own water and only electric cars are used to get around the 4.2- acre property.

No chemicals are used in cleaning and maintenance, only steam and natural products. All hotel towels are made from bamboo, with only natural fibers.

The hotel’s own vegetable garden and orchard – with citrus, mango, passion fruit, banana and coconut trees – provides fresh, organic ingredients for the healthy cuisine in the restaurant, while other food products are mostly locally sourced.

And for treatments and services at the spa, only organic products from Dr. Hauschka are used.

Tropical woods and materials in earthy tones are juxtaposed with splashes of island color, from peppery red and turmeric yellw to mint green and ultramarine blue. All furnishings are handmade and exquisitely appointed. The bright cotton rugs and cushions were woven by Mexican artisans.

The hotel’s own vegetable garden and orchard – with citrus, mango, passion fruit, banana and coconut trees – provides fresh, organic ingredients for the healthy cuisine in the restaurant, while other food products are mostly locally sourced.

Fresh fish from the island, delivered daily by local fishermen is also the chef’s favourite. Native aromatic herbs, fruits and vegetables abound. Subtly cooked with fresh spices, and wafting irressitible aromas, the food is genuine and mouthwatering, natural and healthy.

Our Eco-Resort
The Manapany is committed to the protection and preservation of its environment, which is why we try to work as much as possible with local producers and grow our own fruits and vegetables.

Therefore, we grow several species of fruit trees throughout the estate and you will find them directly in your plate and on our breakfast buffets. Visits of the tropical garden can be arranged on request at the desk.
