For more than fifty years, Le Calette has been known worldwide as one of the most charming corners of the Sicilian coast. Set on a vast park, 2 km far from the historic center of Cefalù (UNESCO site), the Boutique Hotel follows with its Mediterranean architecture the natural folds of the coast of the Caldura bay, insinuating itself into the coves from which it takes its name.

A choice of suites and rooms in two complexes, Le Calette N°5 (five-star) and Le Calette Garden & Bay (four-star), and villas. Terraces and Mediterranean gardens overlooking the sea with restaurants, bars, beach club and wellness areas.

Every single element would not be of such beauty and harmony if they had not been designed by the attentive eye of Angelo, the architect, and would not have their distinguished Mediterranean soul if they had not been furnished and organized by Francesca, who has given (and received) love at Le Calette, since her childhood.

Without hesitation when putting the old aside to give life to the new, the Hotel today unobtrusively represents a way of experiencing Sicilian luxury. Decorated with the charm of wise refinement, harmoniously immersed in the nature of the bay, it offers every comfort and proposes the many delicacies of the products and cuisine of this sparkling land.

FAMILY
For more than fifty years Le Calette Hotel has accompanied the history of the last generations of the Cacciola family. Santino, engineer, who has combined a technical view with his own creative intuition to generate an oasis of well-being.

Francesca, Santino’s daughter, together with her husband Angelo Miccichè, esteemed architect, in a few years have undertaken the commitment to guide Le Calette up to the Olympus of the Sicilian 5-star Hotels.

The third generation has arrived with Gaia, the youngest daughter of the couple, who, after years of studying and working around the world, has chosen to contribute to the management of the family business which had always been home to her.

MARINA SUITE
On the promontory of Calette Bay a room with a queen-size bed opens onto the glazed living room and onto the terrace shaded by a pine tree. 43 sqm, third bed as sofa bed, hydro-massage bathtub on the terrace with a view of the sea, the marina and the Rocca of Cefalù.

JUNIOR SUITE
On the first floor of Calette Bay , two elegant rooms furnished in a Mediterranean style overlook a covered terrace equipped with armchairs and a small table to appreciate the enchanting view of the bay. Large 30 sqm with queen-size bed and sofa bed, comfortable shower and some with whirlpool baths.

STANDARD ROOM
On the ground floor of Calette Bay with traditional Sicilian furniture and outdoor spaces for relaxation with armchairs and coffee table. 15-25 sqm with queen-size bed and some with a third single bed.

A contemporary cuisine that enhances the authentic flavours of the Sicilian culinary tradition, masterfully revisiting the combination of ingredients, selected from the best raw materials in the area.

CALA LUNA
Open-air restaurant on a lawn that slopes down to the sea with open kitchen and the Faraglioni rocks and the Rocca of Cefalù in the background. From June to September.

Large windows, ceramics and a large white vault characterize the environment.

CALETTE REEF
Seaside restaurant on a terrace overlooking the bay of the Caldura, ideal for an informal and tasty lunch. The flavours: those typical of the Mediterranean cuisine. From June 19th to September.

SEA
Open every day from 10 in the morning for the whole summer season. You will find large and comfortable king-size beds, which can accommodate up to three people. The service also includes free parking, hot showers and changing rooms.

REEF BAR
You can enjoy refreshing drinks created by expert bartenders and also order comfortably from the king-size beds placed in front of the sea. For sports lovers, there is no shortage of canoes and stand up paddles for a ride among the coves of the bay.

CEFALÙ
Cefalù, selected among I borghi più belli di Italia (the most beautiful villages in Italy), is among the most fascinating destinations in Sicily. Located on the north coast, between a crystal-clear sea and an imposing promontory, it is a perfect example of the beauties that the Italian territory has to offer.

Built around the Rocca, an imposing mogote which over the centuries held a defensive role, the ancient Kephaloidion – from the Greek head, which refers to the natural conformation of the rock that overlooks the city – has been the scene of multiple dominations over time.

The heart of the ancient city is Piazza Duomo, where the profile of the Norman Cathedral, built in the twelfth century by King Roger II and today inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, stands out.

From here, points of artistic, landscape and cultural interest branch off and follow up to the Caldura district, which welcomes the Hotel Le Calette in a beautiful bay with its reddish rocks, formerly called Tallarita, Baronello and Passarella.

CITY TOUR

ROCCA OF CEFALÙ
Walk on the mogote overlooking Cefalù and from which the city took its name. At an altitude of 270 meters you will find the remains of the temple of Diana dating back to the 9th century BC and you will enjoy a surprising view of the historical centre and the coast.

MANDRALISCA MUSEAUM
A few meters from the Cathedral of Cefalù, the museum preserves the artistic heritage and legacy of Enrico Pirajno from Mandralisca within its ancient walls. There are two masterpieces kept there: the magnificent Portrait of a Man by Antonello da Messina and the Sicilian crater of the red-figure tuna seller on a black background.

CEFALÙ COAST TO COAST
Boat excursion along the coast of Cefalù from the promontory of Finale di Pollina to the bay of Settefrati, with motor or sailing boats. Possibility to organize lunch or an aperitif on board.

QUAD TRIPS

MADONIE AT THE TABLE
Half day in an ancient farm in the heart of the Madonie natural park, between hills and medieval villages, narrated by a Sicilian travel journalist. The experience culminates in a cooking class to discover the excellent raw materials of the area.

ZIPLINE
Zipline adventure in San Mauro Castelverde, unique in Italy almost a thousand meters high. As a frame to it, an overview of the Madonie and Nebrodi mountains with the sea and the Aeolian islands and even Ustica in the background.

HORSEBACK RIDING
Excursion on horseback at the Tenuta Luogo Marchese di Pollina, a place located in the Madonie UNESCO Global Geopark.

TIBERIO GORGES
Excursion by rubber dinghy to cross the 400-meter gorge and a walk along the Pollina river. It is a geological site dating back to about 150 million years ago with flourishing vegetation and native fauna.

ETNA AND TAORMINA
For the excursion on the slopes of the Mount Etna it is possible to use the cable car, the Jeeps and specialized guides for altitudes above 2100 meters.

PARAGLIDING FOR TWO
See Cefalù from a different perspective, suspended in the air and carried away by the wind. An experience in safety thanks to the guidance of pilots who are qualified for riding with guests.

Le Calette is a few kilometres away from two marvellous natural parks, the Madonie UNESCO Geopark and the Nebrodi Park, the largest protected natural area in Sicily. Professional guides will introduce you to their countless paths and secrets.

The restaurant offers continuous references to Sicilian culture and tradition, as well as love for the typical products of our generous land, through the dishes of its tasty and refined cuisine, served at sunset under the white curtains of the garden.

Mediterranean dishes, fresh fish, local vegetables, preserves and traditional pastries, many organic products and above all the three Slow Food Presidia of the Madonie Park. In the cellar there are over one hundred labels selected from the most awarded Sicilian wineries, whose secrets will be shared with you by the discreet and careful care of the Maître Franco Savoca.
