In this way, together with the organic agricultural products of our farm, like the wines of the Altarocca Winery and the extra virgin olive oil from the Altarocca oil mill, based on seasonal availability, we select the best typical products, preferably organic and kilometer zero, like the meats and the Cinta Senese cured meats, Ficulle saffron, Spello chickpeas, Castelluccio lentils, Cannara onions and Fabro truffles.

Pool gualtieri: outdoor pool dedicated to our guests who want to relax in silence and tranquility, and who wish to enjoy an energizing swim. located near villa gaultieri, it is available in summer.

THE PANORAMIC GYM
A proposal characterized by our fitness room selectively equipped with Technogym equipment, specifically chosen by the Altarocca Wine Resort for body builders and all of our guests committed to staying healthy by exercising regularly.

Located in an external structure in front of the reception, the panoramic gym is air conditioned and completely surrounded by greenery with breathtaking views.

The room and the machines are sanitized twice a day by the cleaning staff: in the evening after closing and at 3.30 pm. Our guests can disinfect the equipment themselves with the provided sprays. It is recommended not to leave personal towels and sheets inside the gym.

THE WINERY
However, a wine, even if it is good, may be valued as unique and recognizable, only if it is a true expression of a territory, including its geological, climatic, faunal and floral characteristics.

Because the vines absorb the properties of the soil by means of their roots, caring for the soil is our top priority to encourage strong root structures and healthy, biologically active soil that is extremely fertile. Our vines are a direct product of our climate and geography and must never come into contact with synthetic chemical agents.

Based on these principles, we chose to adopt the organic method for our cultivation; we do not use genetically modified organisms, chemical fertilizers and antiparasitic products, fungicides and herbicides.

On the contrary, thanks to the enrichment of our land with natural fertilization and grassing, in addition to the meticulous management of the surrounding greenery and our attentive hand-picking harvesting process, we bring the healthiest grapes to our cellar, to make superior quality wines with a distinct personality.

TRUFFLE EXPERIENCE
Perfumes, flavours, nature. These are the keywords of a unique moment to discover the secrets that make the truffle the diamond of the kitchen.

The experience will start with a walk in the woods accompanied by an expert truffle hunter, his loyal four-legged companions and a guide, who will be able to convey all the passion and magic that characterize the truffle hunting.

You will be able to descover the several types of truffle, the composition of the soil and the climatic conditions that give characteristics and taste to this delicious food, directly from the expert’s words and, if you will be lucky, you will admire how it is extracted from its earthen casket.

The uniqueness of this moment goes on in our Bistrot, where a three-course Light Lunch awaits you, expertly prepared by our chef, with dishes based on truffles.

The panoramic terrace of Villa Gualtieri offers the ideal, picturesque setting for tasting the Cantina Altarocca wines, which represent the complete expression of the surrounding territory.

By choosing the Wine Tasting experience, you will taste four wines from our organic production, accompanied by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses. During the tasting, the sommelier will illustrate the production process, the company philosophy, and the characteristics of the wines.

Good wine is the result of people’s hard work, dedication, and talents: a combination of many factors. Our Sommelier will guide you through the vineyards and on a visit to the wine cellar to discover the organic philosophy of Cantina Altarocca.

THE OIL MILL
Like our grapevines, our olive trees are grown exclusively according to the principles of organic farming to guarantee the conservation of the soil characteristics and the natural balance and biodiversity of the surrounding environment.

Our olive grove is fertilized exclusively with natural products and enriched by means of grassing, while the harvest is strictly performed manually to guarantee the integrity of the olives, which are swiftly transferred to the brand new oil mill, next to the olive grove, where they are then cold-pressed.

ORGANIC OLIVE OIL
Fruit of the traditional moraiolo, leccino, and frantoio varieties, the altarocca oil mill certified organic extra virgin olive oil is delicately scented, with an extremely low level of acidity and an elevated concentration of polyphenols that result in its significant longevity and relevant antioxidant properties.
