Borgo San Faustino Country Relais and Spa a few minutes from Orvieto, mansions and farmhouses dating back to the 1800s of the historic Vogorides Ruspoli estate.

Overlooking the splendid Umbrian countryside, it is the ideal place to spend a relaxing moment away from the stress of the city. The 900-hectare estate features 2 outdoor swimming pools and a hot tub. The rooms are set in stone farmhouses furnished by the master carpenters of the Orvieto school.

The area of the company is located within the Monte Peglia Reserve, awarded in 2018 by the Unesco “Man and the Biosphere” project, characterized by an ecosystem and ecoclimate that is unique in the world.

SUPERIOR ROOMS 
In a splendid stone farmhouse overlooking the valley the rooms are furnished with a rustic and enveloping style and finely decorated furniture. The fabrics, in the warm colors of our campaign, together with fine terracotta and exposed beams, they create a romantic and refined atmosphere.

STANDARD ROOMS
Set in small farmhouses They are furnished with furniture made by the master carpenters of the Orvieto school and dressed from soft linens and fluffy goose down duvets. The ceilings retain exposed beams or vaults. They are equipped with plasma TV, minibar, hairdryer and air conditioning.

THE RESTAURANT
Il Borgo Del Gusto restaurant offers a cuisine based on the Umbrian culinary tradition, revisited and enhanced by our chefs and our products. The kitchen fully reflects the philosophy of the Borgo, many of the products are 0 km from the farm owned.

The cooks produce bread, handmade pasta (including umbrichelli, the famous pasta of water and flour), focaccia and sweets. The products from our garden are grown according to the organic methodology. The receptivity of the restaurant is about 120 people; the two rooms, with panoramic views, are equipped with furnishings and accessories that characterize them.

THE WINE CELLAR
The relais is located within an estate of about 250 hectares where Orvieto Classico DOC and Umbria Rosso IGT wines are produced.

It is possible to organize tastings in the historic cellar of the Vogorides Ruspoli villa adjacent to the property or dinners by the pool which offers guests a wonderful view of the valley. We offer our customers 0 km products to be tasted in combination with our wines in the suggestive Etruscan cave within our farm.

The residence of the Vogorides Ruspoli princes, with its marble and wood paneling, will be the perfect location for those who want an event in grand style. The eighteenth-century garden and the belvedere over the valley will offer fairytale scenarios for banquets and buffets.

We could create wonderful settings for you in unique places: the enchanting church of the 1500s, the nineteenth-century park of the villa, the natural amphitheater in the woods, the suggestive olive grove.

Borgo San Faustino has several hectares within the MAB (Man and Biosphere) Nature Reserve which was established by Unesco in 2018 for its ecoclimate and ecosystem characteristics such as to place it among the uniqueness in the world.

The company follows the “organic agriculture” protocol, that is a cultivation and breeding method that only allows the use of natural substances, that is present in nature, excluding the use of chemical synthesis substances (fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides).

Organic farming means developing a production model that avoids the excessive exploitation of natural resources, in particular the soil, water and air, instead using these resources within a development model that can last over time.
