Art Hotel Villa Fiorella was born from the desire of Alberto Colonna to realize the dream he had shared with his grandfather and the passion for his work as a hotelier.

IL PERGOLATO
Il Pergolato, a typical Sorrentine construction with trellises of chestnut wood and straw poles with ancient origins in the cultivation of citrus fruits and lemons, is the ideal location for an informal party, an outdoor barbecue surrounded by the lush greenery of our olive trees, on the scenario overlooking the Gulf of Naples.

THE WINE CELLAR
The wine cellar of Art Hotel Villa Fiorella and gourmet restaurant Terrazza Fiorella offers a selection of about 600 labels divided between the most important Italian and foreign wine regions.

Among the Italian regions, Campania has a considerable space in our cellar, and its typical grapes such as Fiano, Falanghina, Greco and Aglianico are present with their wines and with the most significant expressions of theproducers of this region.

Even the cuisine of the Terrazza Fiorella restaurant, although elaborated and revisited, is certainly related to tradition and to the territory, but at the same time open to contamination and innovation, therefore also the wine list opens up to an extra-regional and international choice.

However, there is also a special section for the wine excellences of other Italian or foreign regions. For example, an important choice comes from Piedmont and Tuscany, ad also from other renowned oenological countries such as France, Germany, Spain, New Zealand and so on.

The cellar holds about 3,000 bottles, all stored in the best conditions to preserve them over time and increase their value. It is not a coincidence that in the cellar there are bottles belonging to historical verticals with wines that in some cases reach up to the 1980s.

Every day our sommelier Tiziano Imperato is at work to select new wines to suggest our guests during dinner or at any time of day. It is possible to book wine tastings through guided sensory itineraries to discover regional, Italian and international wines.

Along the Lubrensi paths

From Villa Fiorella Art Hotel it is possible to embark on a simple yet very charming trekking route that reaches up to Marina della Lobra. The peculiarity, and its charm, is being able to immerse yourself completely in nature, step by step, where only the sound of birds and your steps on the road will dominate.

You’ll pass through two small villages, Santa Maria and the Annunziata, the road is lined with points of interest such as 15th century palaces, the Cerriglio, churches, Sant’Agnello Abbate, towers such as Torre Turbolo.

And of course, what won’t be missing is the breathtaking view of Capri, very close and stretched out over the sea in all its splendor. Length: about 2 km

THE PATH OF THE GODS
It’s the path of the paths, certainly the most famous among the paths of the Amalfi Coast. The view is literally postcard-worthy and it’s one of those things you surely won’t forget. The path will appear to you as if it is suspended between sky and sea.

It’s a doable one but not to be underestimated due to the presence of numerous ups and downs and differences in height and which in some points seems to be overlooking the sea.

Your effort and attention will be rewarded: the prize is to look at the infinite blue of the shore from Li Galli archipelago to Capri once you arrive towards Punta Campanella. It is possible to leave from Nocelle or Bomerano. Length: 7.5 km from Nocelle – 5.2 km from Bomerano

MINERVA’S HIKE
Minerva’s hike is the historical name of another one of the most famous paths of the Sorrento Coast, Punta Campanella, at which, upon arrival, you’ll be presented with a stage open on Capri that is so close that it seems almost possible to touch it.

The path starts from Termini, a fraction of Massa Lubrense, and its particularity is that it is a path almost completely covered with Roman basalt. Accompanied by the sound of cicadas in summer and the Saracen watchtower along the way. Length: 7.5 km

DISCOVERING SORRENTO
A day in Sorrento starts from Piazza Tasso, the center of the city. The first stop is to the Villa Comunale, overlooking the sea and from which you can reach Marina Piccola thanks to the public lift.

Piazza Tasso can also be the starting point for a walk through the historical center of the city: the first stop is the complex of San Francesco with the famous Cloister, then Sedile Dominova from the 14th century, and still in the center Sant’ Antonino’s Cathedral, the patron saint of the city.

Not to be missed is a walk through the narrow roads of the historic center, among craft shops and the scent of lemons.

From Piazza Tasso it’s still possible to reach in 10 minutes the Correale Museum where are exhibited Greek, Roman and Medieval findings, Capodimonte porcelain and furnishings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Do not miss the garden overlook of the Gulf of Naples.

VISIT TO THE OIL MILL
Round here we have a green gold: our olives. Centuries-old olive trees line the hills around Massa Lubrense and thanks to the mild climate and proximity to the sea, the oil produced here is balanced and has a sweet flavor.

We are proud of this product and that is why we want to make it known to everyone and we think that a visit to the oil mills of Massa Lubrense can open a world made of flavor and love for this land.

Visiting one of the nearby oil mills will allow you to discover how the oil production- process takes place and above all to taste the oil produced on a piece of hot bread, which is one of the best and most authentic culinary experiences you can have.

VISIT AN ARTISAN PASTA FACTORY
It is not a cliché: pasta for us in southern Italy is an important thing and we are very keen on the fact that it is full-bodied, properly cooked and well-seasoned. The artisanal pasta factories of Gragnano have always produced pasta as tradition to bring to the table a product with an unmistakable flavor.

Visiting one of the ancient pasta factories will be a journey into the past to discover how pasta was processed in ancient times and how techniques have evolved up to modern processing.

Also, it will be a journey to discover flavor: there is no visit to a pasta factory without eating some pasta, and it will be like you’ve never done before.

AT PIZZA SCHOOL
Who doesn’t like pizza? So far, we haven’t found anyone who refuses a nice slice of pizza with tomato and mozzarella. Pizza is the solution to almost everything and here it is like a religion.

And then learning how to make pizza, following the advice of a “Pizzaiolo”, and then eating that pizza, will be an experience to be told for years and years. Knead the dough, add the ingredients, bake (in a real wood oven), wait, cut into four slices and eat. Can you smell its scent already?

You will have the opportunity to visit a winery by the Vesuvius, right on the slopes of the great volcano, where Lacryma Christi is produced, one of the most famous wines of this land.

Visiting a winery means discovering all the steps that lead grapes to become wine, millenary techniques arrived to the present day and improved to offer customers a quality product. But it also means tasting a good glass of wine accompanied by something typical.

THE MOZZARELLA
