Location
The world famous island of Santorini is the most southern island of the Cycladic group in the Aegean Sea, and is located 63 nautical miles north of Crete. Its surface area is 73 sq. km. and its population, distributed among thirteen villages, just exceeds thirteen thousand six hundred people, according to the census of 2001.

HOW TO REACH SANTORINI
By plane

Santorini can be reached from most international airports via Athens. The flying time from Athens to Santorini is approximately 40 minutes. Nearly all international scheduled flights arriving in Athens allow adequate time for making the connecting flight to Santorini.

Numerous charter flights from different European Cities fly directly to the island during the summer period. During the same period Santorini is also connected with flights to and from Thessaloniki.

By ferry boat

Another way to reach the island is by a regular ferry boat service from the port of Piraeus, Thessaloniki or Crete and almost all the Cycladic islands. The boat trip takes approximately 8 – 13 hours depending on the ferry and the ports of call.

Daily high speed boats are also available only during the summer period leaving from the port of Piraeus and from numerous other Cycladic islands and Crete. The trip lasts about 4 – 5 hours.

We are delighted to announce that we are taking the dining experience a step further, building on the vision of the award winning Executive Chef Adam Kodovas, who along with the head Chef Christos Manos Regkoukos, put together the elements to make Alali Restaurant a unique gastronomic experience.

Its unique location on the rim of the Caldera of Santorini ensures of stunning views, while its menu will delight your palate with its contemporary take on Mediterranean cuisine.

CATAMARAN & YACHT CRUISES
Cruises start at marina Vlihada where the vessels are docked and from there you sail to the most beautiful parts of the island, sailing to the red beach which is situated in the historical village of akrotiri, from there sailing to the white where you also make a stop if you would desire to take a swim and try some snorkeling, sailing past the Indian rocks to the tip of the island where our Venetian lighthouse is.

From there you have the most breathtaking view of the whole Aegean Sea and the surrounding Greek islands stretching out in front of you.

From there you move on past the island of Aspronisi, sailing close to the caldera coast so you may view the towns of Fira, Old Port, Firostefani, Imerovigli and Oia from sea level and not only admire the way each town is built on the cliffs but also the rock and strata formations that form the caldera coastline.

Sailing on past the volcano, to the famous volcanic hot springs where once again you stop if someone wishes to take a healing swim in the sulphurous waters and around to the small island of Palia Kammeni, where the catamaran stops so you may swim and snorkel in the crystalline aquamarine waters, observe the sea life whilst snorkeling and explore the magnificent coves with their natural beauties.
