Hotel b design & spa, located at the foot of Les Baux-de-Provence, offers a new 5-star concept in Paradou. Nestled between Arles and Avignon, and near Maussane-les-Alpilles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Fontvielle, the hotel is in the heart of the Alpilles Natural Regional Park.
To access the site – where nights are bound to turn into days – guests at B Design have to cross a dark, narrow corridor, which is designed to keep the surprise on arrival in your room. As soon as the door opens, you will be completely blown away.
The suites are open-space throughout, ranging from 44 to 88 m², the living spaces interconnected without any visible separation. The feeling of space is heightened by the omnipresent light that fills the space through the large windows overlooking the private 30m² terraces.
Minimalism and elegance are a must. The different spaces follow one another. You start with the lounge and its à la carte mini-bar where epicureans can enjoy a fine selection of wines. It also has an espresso machine for you to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee at any time and enjoy it on the terrace.
This is followed by the central sleeping space. At the head of the bed you will find the controls of the home automation system. Like those at the entrance of the room, they give you full command of the different light settings.
Special attention is given to the different lighting ambiences, allowing guests to decide on the best atmosphere at the current time. Our bedding is of course top quality and cotton sheets ensure you will have a comfortable and fully restorative night’s sleep, helping you start an energetic day in the sun of Provence.
The largest suites have an independent dressing room and all rooms have large storage spaces in cupboards clad in brushed oak. The light, spacious and open-plan nature of the rooms make them exceptionally comfortable. B Design has just for its guests a unique stay and experience, so special that it’s a journey in itself.
In the B Design & Spa suites, a single touch of the finger can control the room temperature but also its lighting ambience. Home automation gives you a thoroughly pleasant experience.
The 5-star Hotel B Design & Spa was dreamt up by a hotelier together with his family from Belgium, who fell in love with a piece of Provence twenty years ago. It’s also the fruit of meeting with Parisian designer Christophe Pillet, who designs hotel rooms. It’s all about the experience.
BEAUTIFULL, FINE, GOOD
These three words could define the concept of design. B is also the capital letter of André Bourguignon’s surname.
Immersed in the catering world since his childhood, André Bourguignon is self-taught with multiple talents, alternating between the positions of editor, journalist, restaurateur, consultant for the hotel and eventually hotel owner himself.
He has drawn on all his experience and know-how in the service of the concept b design, which he just wanted the best for.
AN IDEAL GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
The hotel is in the commune Paradou, in the valley of Les Baux-de-Provence, at the epicentre of one of the most beautiful regions of France. It’s a paradise in the true sense of the word, where the pleasures of gastronomy, history and nature come together.
A land of art, culture and the art of living: Les Baux de Provence and its castle are in the immediate vicinity and Fontveille is not far away. There you can explore the Mill of Alphonse Daudet and the Castle of Montauban, Saint Rémy de Provence, Arles, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and their shops etc.
From the hotel terraces, guests can enjoy the foothills of the Alpilles and the olive garden, or, if they prefer to lounge around, enjoy all day in the sun facing due south.

Designed above an olive grove with hundred-year-old trees, at the base of the Alpilles mountain range, B Design is a contemporary building whose discretion, simplicity and integration into the landscape are reminiscent of the old bastides.

ROOMS & SUITES
In this wonderfully charming hotel with its 15 exceptional suites, you will have an unforgettable and peaceful stay. The lights and mirrors highlight all the spatial perspectives. Essentially contemporary in the materials they use, the rooms at Hotel b design & spa are little visual jewels.
Taking your time is above all about adapting in a quality environment, where comfort and functionality are valued at their true worth. The b design & spa suites reveal an exquisite blend of ingenuity, offering beautiful spaces.
The suites also reveal a delightful mix of materials. Interplays of colours and transparency are signed by designer Christophe Pillet, André and Nancy Bourguignon, as well as interior design and furniture.
The suites are in perfect harmony with the elegance and spirit of the hotel. All rooms in Hotel b design & spa are non-smoking and pets are not allowed in them.
FAMILY SUITE
Our 88 m² family suite is spacious, quiet and comfortable, offering a large space for up to 4 people so that all members of the family – children and adults alike – can feel at ease during their stay. Perfect suite for two adults and adjoining room for two children.
DESIGNER SUITE
Our suites, which range from 48 to 66 m², stand out thanks to their attention to detail. They offer guests a luxurious experience in the Alpilles, with a fine balance of harmony and design in the materials and furniture used.
Large windows open onto a terrace facing the Alpilles or the south (1 to 3 guests). An ideal setting for a well-earned break for two. The quintessence of the art of living is expressed in this suite of generous proportions. Option in some suites to accommodate a child up to 12 years of age.
DESIGNER ROOM
The exceptional designer room is a large room of 48 m². Located on the ground floor or upstairs, you will have an individual terrace. Everything has been designed to create a serene and harmonious setting, conducive to relaxation where you can have an outstanding romantic stay (1 to 2 guests).
SERVICES
To afford the time to daydream and rest, each suite and room has a beautiful 30 m² terrace. These are south-facing or in a beautiful setting, letting you enjoy the panorama over the Alpilles mountains and the sweet views of Les Baux-de-Provence.
In fine weather, treat yourself to some lengths. Hotel b design & spa has an outdoor heated pool from April to October.
NANCY BOURGUIGNON RESTAURANT
Enjoy Nancy Bourguignon’s cooking in her restaurant, which is located at the foot of Les Baux-de-Provence’s castle. Open for lunch and dinner, have a seat in our bright dining room, on the terrace facing the Alpilles or around our guest table in the kitchen.
You will be delighted to taste Nancy’s cuisine, she is a self-taught chef with a light, feminine cooking style which brings out the original flavour of her ingredients in full force.
COOKING BASED ON INSTINCT
The menu (or rather the slate) in the Nancy Bourguignon restaurant offers mainly seasonal cuisine. Nancy and her team of young chefs cook this sublime food with talent, and you can feel the quality of the produce from the flavours it brings out.
FRESH PRODUCE
The menu at this restaurant – let’s call it slate – is vastly different from day to day and depends on the daily market.
Vegetables are sometimes confit and sometimes salt-boiled to fully express their subtle freshness from the best olive oils in the region. These may come from Castelas Mill, for instance, at the foot of Les Baux-de-Provence Castle!

Our desserts are gourmet and all prepared according to the pastry chef’s inspiration. Here too, the team is constantly looking for ways to combine tradition and freshness so that you have a light and delicate culinary experience.
