EAT
We are proud of our reputation as one of the “foodie” hotels in St. Lucia and we are well visited and liked by locals, other hotel guests as well as our own very special guests. Head Chef Craig has recently been voted Caribbean Chef of the year for 2016 by the Caribbean Journal.

The Cliff at Cap offers creative fine dining with sensational views and a contemporary French Caribbean menu whilst the Naked Fisherman serves more casual, yet delectably stylish, seafood right on the beach (non-seafood options also available).

Our walk in wine Cellar with its regular wine and food pairings or private dinners is the perfect complement to great food – not to be missed is our own made Cap Maison Solera Rum!

THE CLIFF AT CAP
The Cliff at Cap is one of the hottest tables in the region with a menu inspired by a fusion of Caribbean and French influence imitating the island’s colourful rich history
Executive Chef Craig Jones, classically French trained but St. Lucian inspired (and a long-time island resident), creates innovative, contemporary food within a perfect Caribbean setting and emphasizing local, fresh ingredients.

Signature dishes include Ceviche of Reef Conch and Ahi Tuna with an mango balsamic jus; Kurobuta pork belly with Razor Clams & squid served with a coconut foam; Linguini of local Pleurotus, caramelized plantains & soya beans.

With unobstructed views towards Martinique to the north and Pigeon Island to the West, and surrounded by the magnificent Caribbean sea, the Cliff at Cap gives you the best seat for unforgettable sunsets.

THE NAKED FISHERMAN
Smuggler’s Cove beach is where ‘Cap’ guests love to relax during the day. It provides a “toes in the sand” moment, whilst listening to the gentle lapping of the waves, or watching stunning sunsets.

The “Naked Fisherman” is located right on the beach under a thatched Caribbean style roof, with a state-of-the art B-B-Q and grill. The atmosphere is less formal than the Cliff, but the food is taken just as seriously.

The business of cooking fresh juicy steaks, ribs and fresh locally caught Snapper, Grouper and Dorado deserves the best attention of our kitchen brigade. Look out for the many ‘specials’ TNF presents – Creole Seafood ‘Boils’, Lobster Lunches, Sunday Vybe with music and surprise shooters and not to be missed the BBQ Taster night.

ROCK MAISON & CHAMPAGNE ZIP LINE
With candle lit lanterns and tiki torches lighting the night sky and the sounds of the waves as your backdrop, there are few places in the world which rival this unique romantic setting.

Now made famous in many publications, it is often described as one of the most romantic tables for dinner anywhere in the Caribbean. With a champagne zip line bringing your drinks down to you, it’s hard not to enjoy this incredible spot.

With unobstructed views towards Martinique to the north and Pigeon Island to the West, and surrounded by the magnificent Caribbean sea, Rock Maison gives you the perfect seat for unforgettable sunsets.

A PRIVATE BBQ
Booking a Villa Suite with a private dining area or one with a rooftop terrace has a delightful and delicious bonus. We can arrange a private BBQ, with or without a private chef. Together we can create a memorable evening for you , your friends and family staying with you or new Cap Maison friends.

COOKING CLASSES
Couples can enjoy a delicious experience together, by exploring both the cuisine and indigenous products of the Caribbean, under the expert guidance of one of the resort’s chefs.

The chef will arrange a private cooking class for you – which includes a market tour of Saint Lucia when you and Chef will choose, haggle price and bring home the ingredients for your menu. With the reputation of having the best restaurants in Saint Lucia, ‘students’ can impress friends back home with one of our dinner party menus.

PRIVATE SEA VIEW CHAMPAGNE BREAKFAST
A private breakfast under the Gazebo with views over to Martinique, early tropical sea breeze… sipping Bollinger Champagne…..if this appeals to your hedonistic side, we can make it happen… demi – bottle of Bollinger Champagne, a selection of pastries, fresh seasonal fruits, yoghurt, and egg’s any style, juices and tea or Terrazu coffee is served at your private table comfortably set in the shade overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

THE CLIFF BAR
Maximising the already incredible ocean views, sunset drinks at the Cliff Bar have been taken to a new level since expanding out (and covering) the cocktail deck towards the picturesque island of Martinique.

HONEYMOON AT CAP MAISON
Affectionately called the “Helen of the West Indies” with its green rainforest peaks stretching down to shores of deep blue water, St. Lucia is famed for its romantic appeal. Amongst this natural beauty sits Cap Maison in a breath taking ocean and cliff front location giving you elevated views across to Martinique.

Whether you want a tranquil and intimate experience or an energetic adventure on your honeymoon, it’s a naturally romantic spot complemented by spacious suites, private roof terraces and pools, and four acres of tropical landscaped gardens to unwind in.

WATER SPORTS
The beautiful beach at Cap Maison is known locally as “Smugglers Cove” and has a host of complimentary non-motorized water sports to entertain the more active.

There are kayaks, Hobie Cat sailing, paddle boarding wind surfing and snorkelling on the house reef (with turtles if you are lucky!) to keep you amused and if you want to chill in an amazingly laid back way, try our hammock-on-the-rocks! Lessons are available at a cost).

CAP MAISON RUNNING & HIKING CLUB
See the beautiful beach and Cliff trails only minutes away. All fitness levels welcome. Drive five minutes to Cas – En – Bas Beach. Start off – road trail along the North East Atlantic coast. Hike or run along cliffs and two secluded beaches, the island’s Secret beach and Donkey beach. Upon return, enjoy a dip in the ocean.

PIGEON ISLAND NATIONAL LANDMARK
A picturesque 44 acre national landmark located off the northern coast of the island displaying cultural monuments characteristic of the West Indies. It is a museum within a natural setting, offering plenty of opportunity for perfect photos. Hiking can be done on clearly outlined trails to the top of both peaks as well as a private beach to soak up the sun!

GROS PITON NATURE TRAIL
Travel along the scenic west coast of the island through lush tropical vegetation onto the Fond Gens Libre, “village of the free people” community, to the welcome center.

From this point, you are joined by a knowledgeable guide, who will lead you along the trail which winds around the mountain at a gradual gradient becoming steeper as you near the summit of the mountain.

Enjoy panoramic vistas in every direction. See Petit Piton in the distance. The first half of the trail is moderate and can be enjoyed by everyone, while the second half involves a difficult ascent to the summit suitable to the more adventurous hiker.

After a strenuous but exhilarating climb, return to the bus for the ride back to your hotel. Comfortable walking shoes are mandatory. This is not an excursion for those with heart ailments, those who are pregnant or are not physically fit. This is a challenging climb up the mountain.

GOLF
The St Lucia Golf and Country Club is literally a few minutes from the gates of Cap Maison. Raning from the Atlantic Coast to the Caribbean, it offers some of the most scenic challenging 18 holes of golf in the Caribbean.

While this undulating par-71 only plays 6,685 yards off the Blues, the course attracts a USGA rating of 74.3, taking well into account the strong winds, numerous water hazards, fast greens and 16 out-of-bounds which we hope you will not encounter during your round!

ACTIVITIES NEARBY

SUSTAINABILITY AT CAP MAISON
The natural world around us has never been more precious. Situated as we are amongst the beautiful surroundings of St. Lucia, we at Cap Maison feel the same and have always and will continue to take whatever steps we can to minimize our traces. See below for a summary of our Sustainability measures:

  • solar panels are located on each purposely designed flat roof space to maximize natural energy usage;
  • we have our own sewerage treatment plant from which we recirculate the grey water as irrigation into our beautiful tropical gardens;
  • recently upgraded air conditioning systems that draw less power but can also be controlled centrally to ensure unoccupied rooms are not needlessly using a/c;
  • reduction of single use plastic: through working with Antigua based company “Neem Avenue” our bathroom amenities are made from already recycled plastic and are refilled and reused after a special cleaning method. We also offer attractive glass refillable bottles for drinking water. Note that St. Lucia has a plentiful supply of natural rainforest spring water (it also tastes great!) meaning that we do not need to rely on foreign bottled water;
  • rain water cachment for in house laundry;
  • we work with responsible tourism partners such as Wayaj which provides, amongst other items, a hotel sustainability rating and a carbon footprint test;
  • local suppliers: St. Lucia has a long history as a volcanic rich farming island and we work with local suppliers as much as possible – this includes some island ingredients in all our carefully prepared dishes as well as Caribbean coffee;
  • international suppliers: we only work with suppliers of responsibly sourced products, whether it is furniture, food or cleaning products;
  • towel rotation policy to ensure that we only wash towels that guests would like to be laundered;
  • all our websites are run on webservers which are powered by only renewable energy
