Tucked away amidst the narrow lanes of Positano, there’s a lovely white house. To reach it, from the main road, you’ll need to make your way up 70 steps, following the sweet scent of the oranges growing in the garden hidden behind the house.

It’s in this secret garden that Nino, Sandra and Annamaria, the owners of the white house, are often found, picking the fruit they use to make delicious fresh juice for their guests. Welcome to Casa Buonocore: Positano’s most beautiful boutique guest house ever.

It was in the 1950’s, a time when Brigitte Bardot might easily have been spotted tiptoeing, barefoot and carefree down the cobbled lanes of Positano and when there were as many models and movie stars as fishermen on Spiaggia Grande, that Mamma Erminia decided to open a hotel to accommodate the first Americans arriving on the Amalfi Coast.

The years passed, the Buonocore family grew, and the younger generations began devoting their time and energy to the world of fashion design.

When “Nadir”, the Buonocore’s clothing company was founded, the hotel was transformed into the family holiday home, where aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins would meet each summer.

In 2012 Sandra, Nino and Annamaria Buonocore decided to restore and refurbish the villa and to open its doors to travellers from all over the world once more.

The result? An intimate six room guest house, designed to look and feel just like home…you’re very own beautiful home in Positano. Casa Buonocore is located in the center of Positano, just before the pedestrian area which leads to the beach begins.

Known as the “vertical town”, Positano has more than its fair share of steps! To reach the entrance to the guest house, you’ll need to climb up 70 steps but, don’t worry: we’ll arrange for a porter to deal with your luggage.

If you’re travelling by car, there’s a garage which grants special rates to all our clients within meters of the guest house. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk away.
