Exquisite & blissful rooms
Château de Riell boasts 17 bedrooms, which stand out for their character and refinement. Each bedroom is unique, down to the last detail and decorated with subtle and joyful Pierre Frey fabrics. The addition of custom furnishings, oak wooden floor, linen and brass provides an exquisitely relaxing environment.
Everything is perfectly matched from the interior décor to the painted or French, colonial and english furniture. Opening out onto the patio, the forest or the Pyrénées, and with the mountain providing a marvellous backdrop, each bedroom offers a cosy and relaxing atmosphere with either patina plaster walls, or wood panelling.
Suites
Each suite features a generous open lounge area with mellow sofa and armchairs. The decoration is definitely refined with original paintings and antique furniture.
Each suite is different and fits with the dwellings’ architecture and twists harmoniously. All our rooms enjoy a king size bed with luxury linen, lounge area, fireplace, marble bathtub and vanity, working desk, and fresh flowers.
All our Suites can accommodate an extra bed (with extra charge) and are perfect for families up to 3 guests. Besides, for larger families, it is possible to connect one of these suites with a Deluxe Room, allowing to accommodate up to 6 people.
An Ode to a reinvented Catalonia Cuisine
Nestled on the foothills of the Castle, between patios and water, the Restaurant plays a South melody with its“hacienda” like setting. The open-hearth fireplace lights up with golden glints of brass and antique furniture, hunted by the Landlady.
On sunny days, enjoy our terrasse nearby the pool for a “Naturohlic” lunch ! On Sundays for lunch, stop by and taste our “Retour de Marché” menu with local products from the nearby producers.

Royal poultry, orchards, kitchen gardens and gifts from the Mediterranean shore, naturally inspire our Chef, and his brigade. Molitg’s Thermal water
Molitg’s mineral water is drilled 150 meters under the surface. It is a very ancient water, dated of more than 18 000 years.

Eus
From its granite hilltop viewpoint, Eus is one of the sunniest villages in France. At one time fortified, the village is dominated by the 18th century Church of St. Vincent which is built on the ruins of an ancient castle.
Indeed, historically this ancient defensive site served to help push back the French in the 16th century and the Spanish in the 18th century. From the church, you can stroll along the sloping, winding, cobbled streets of this pedestrianised village and discover the local artisans, artists and shopkeepers.
Mosset
5 km away from Molitg, Mosset belongs to French territory since the Pyrenees Treaty in 1659, therefore you can see the traces of Mosset’s past when walking through the streets of this village which extend over more than 7,120 hectares.
This medieval village, with its castle courtyard and the naturally created attraction of the pine tree that leans on the church bell tower, is an exceptional place in which to awaken your senses. Perched 2,000 metres (6,562 feet) above sea level, Mosset is remarkably rich in fauna and flora.
Villefranche-de-Conflent
Labelled one of the most beautiful villages in France, Villefranche-de-Conflent is also a town that was fortified by Vauban and home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. As such, Villefranche-de-Conflent is a must-see in Conflent for admirers of Vauban’s work. A stroll through the town’s cobbled streets is not to be missed.
Pablo Casals Festival and the Wonders of Chamber Music
Founded by the famous cellist and historical figure, the Pablo Casals festival is one of the busiest times of the season in Conflent, at the heart of the Canigou mountains, and a must-see for lovers of chamber music.
As well as bringing together some wonderful artists, concerts take place in jewels of heritage such as the Abbey of St. Martin du Canigou or the Abbey of St. Michel de Cuixà.

Each year the Festival welcomes internationally renowned soloists. Additionally, as well as being without doubt one of the oldest existing festivals, it is also one of the most innovative in the search for new repertoires and talent.
Schedule
Every year, there is an original itinerary of classical and contemporary chamber music with 40 to 45 events around a theme: 35 concerts, usually at 9.00pm in the Romanesque Abbey of St. Michel de Duixa for the exceptional acoustics, two to three concerts at 9.00pm in the Eglise de Prades, which has the largest altarpiece in France, 10 concerts at 5.30pm in the churches of Conflent and nine student concerts.
