THE HISTORY
The building dates from 1611 and, together with l’Auberge, is a remnant of the former Castle Aigermont. For centuries the Gatehouse served as a tenant house for the family who tended the land and gardens on behalf of the castle’s lord. The current l’Auberge served as a stable for the animals.

DINING
Château Neercanne’s celebrated restaurants each have their own distinctive offering and character. Restaurant Château Neercanne is renowned for its high quality culinary traditions, whilst l’Auberge, with its Michelin Bib Gourmand, serves an original lunchtime menu. Truly unique settings, Turret De Gulden and Marl Caves offer exclusive, private dining and event venues.

THE RESTAURANT
Restaurant Château Neercanne has a rich cultural and culinary tradition curated by Chef de Cuisine, Robert Levels and his team. Using French-inspired cuisine as the basis each dish is enriched by remarkable preparation techniques and worldwide influences that combine local and international flavours.

Using a variety of produce from our own estate garden and the adjacent Cannerbos, Chef also creates stand-out vegetarian and vegan menus. Maître d´Hotel, Robert Bisschoff and his team have a personal and authentic service style and are happy to advise on the best wine pairing or homemade, alcohol-free cocktail to go with each dish.

When weather permits, lunch and dinner is served outside on the terrace, offering breath-taking views over the UNESCO-listed Baroque gardens and Jeker Valley.

THE LUCNH
Located in the former stables of the original château, L’Auberge de Neercanne, offers a welcoming spot for lunch. Led by Chef de Cuisine, Raymond Remmen and Host, Leo Smeijers, the talented team prepare dishes crafted from regionally sourced produce and ingredients harvested from the estate garden, whilst the drinks menu focuses on Limburg wines and organic beverages.

Awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand since 2012, the restaurant has a stunning outdoor terrace and can also cater for private dining and smaller gatherings during the evenings.

THE WINE CELLAR
A network of ancient passageways running through the stunning Marl Caves, lead to Château Neercanne’s renowned wine cellar. Providing ideal conditions for wine storage, the cellar has been chiselled out of limestone to create the perfect and most individual backdrop from which to sample some of the carefully chosen vintages.

This historic location is made all the more unique by the carved signatures and inscriptions that mark the walls. Everyone from royalty to key European leaders and famous actors has inscribed their mark, adding to the innate character of this venue.
