Nestled along a protected cove, the most desirable beach in Los Cabos has long been known for its tranquil, swimmable waters and pristine coral reefs, where a short venture out to sea unveils a hidden underwater world of tropical fish and sea turtles.

Chileno Bay was created with a distinct vision to bring a contemporary take on the classic Baja escape with an airy, open aesthetic that blurs the line between indoor and outdoor with private terraces in each guest room.

Suites
Clean, contemporary lines come together in a dramatic indoor/outdoor living space that celebrates the best of modern Baja living.

Located adjacent to a Garden View King Room or a Garden View Queen Room, these one-bedroom suites can be paired with an additional room for more guests, creating private, two-bedroom accommodations.

Villas
The spacious and contemporary one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom villas retain the unmistakable comforts of home while offering a modern Baja aesthetic that effortlessly blends with the natural surroundings.

Complemented by bold materials, distinct artisanal Mexican accents, original artwork and stylish fixtures, floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive living terraces bring the outside in. Ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together, the large, open floor plans create a social setting for entertaining.

The gourmet kitchens are outfitted with high-quality finishes, including Wolf and Subzero appliances. Kitchen pre-stocking is available, as is a Private Personal Chef (additional fees apply).

Sky Villas
With unobstructed view of sunset and sunrise, the rooftop three- four- and five- bedroom Sky Villas are styled with an effortless Baja aesthetic.

These contemporary villas are designed with families or friends traveling together in mind; with fully equipped kitchens, ample indoor and outdoor communal spaces and expansive rooftop terraces with a private pool and fireplace.

Guests unwind and enjoy private outdoor showers, along with a large soaking tub – there’s simply no escaping bliss. The Sky Villas set the scene for a truly memorable vacation.

A CREATIVE TAKE ON LOCAL BAJA FLAVORS
“Cooking was always a big deal in my house growing up. My favorite memories are ones gathered around food and telling stories,” says chef Yvan Mucharraz, who started his lifelong passion with cooking in his mother’s Mexican kitchen at the age of 15 before going on to work for three years under lauded chef Thomas Keller at the French Laundry in Yountville, California.

Chef Mucharraz now finds joy in guests gathered around his inspired takes using the freshest local catch, from giant totoaba to sea bass, telling their own stories, and creating taste memories that linger long after they’ve left Chileno Bay.

COMAL
Named after a type of cast-iron cooking pan in use for centuries in Mexico, and often passed down through generations in the same family, COMAL is rooted in the authentic and traditional, but injected with its own modern, inventive spirit.

Here, you’ll dine on braised short rib with cacao broth, along with a selection of the freshest ceviche and crudo prepared in our live-action Raw Bar.

With the Sea of Cortez as the dramatic backdrop, and mood lighting from a wall lined with flickering candles, COMAL is undeniably romantic. If you’re booking dinner for two, request one of the tables closest to the water for unobstructed sea views.

TnT
Our beachside taco bar is all about fun: there are shots of Sotol, Mexican games like Loteria, and our floating bartenders ring a bell when they head out to the pool with cocktails. Authentically prepared tacos are filled with juicy al pastor and crisp deep-fried shrimp.

El Molino Coffee Shop
Our courtyard coffee shop proudly sources premium, fair-trade, organic beans grown in the southern state of Chiapas for all of its coffee drinks, from refreshing cold brews to frothy lecheros. We also serve housemade gelatos, paletas, affogatos and more for an anytime pick-me-up.

Private Dining
When you crave a night unlike any other, our chef will craft a menu personalized for your special occasion. It will unfold in a secluded spot on the beach in an atmosphere of understated romance—created for you two and for one unforgettable moment in time.

EVENTS AT CHILENO BAY RESORTS & RESIDENCES
A gathering for every occasion
During annual trips, the grandparents have watched the littlest ones learn to surf and cousins have become true friends as secrets are shared over past-their-bedtime treats (churro popcorn and Mexican hot chocolate).

These are the kinds of traditions that bring families closer together at Chileno Bay. We help make memories, beginning with our open-hearted welcome and our exceptional location, nestled along a protected cove with pristine coral reefs and tranquil waters.

Our venues and accommodations give you space to connect with each other—whether you’re planning a family reunion, milestone anniversary, or other celebrations.

MEETINGS AT CHILENO BAY
Elevate your next meeting
“I knew zip lining would be a fun addition to our team’s retreat; I didn’t realize soaring through the air together would yield a breakthrough in how we communicate.” This kind of executive feedback is gratifying yet comes as no surprise to us at Chileno Bay.

We understand how a change in perspective inspires big-picture thinking and bonding. And we see the added value in arranging custom activities like whale-watching tours, yacht excursions and tee time at our surrounding championship golf courses.

When it’s time for more formal brainstorms and presentations, our conference spaces provide the latest audio-visual capabilities along with a sense of relaxed luxury and harmony with nature.

GO HOME WITH A STORY
From snorkeling past vividly-hued coral reefs just beyond our door to horseback riding through a deep desert canyon, Baja California is a world of contrasts that beckons to be explored.

Go on a whale-watching photo safari
You’re going whale watching, so pack your camera and binoculars for an exhilarating adventure. The guides are respectful of the whales while still getting close enough that you’ll feel the splash as their tails slap the water and capture vivid action shots. Keep your eyes peeled, and you may even spot dolphins and sea lions.

Take a private Jeep tour into the Baja outback
This off-road adventure winds past cowboys on horses and lumbering cattle to the quaint town square of Santiago, ringed by colonial buildings, before heading off to Fox Canyon to marvel at its magnificent waterfalls.

Cool down with a refreshing dip in the natural crystal clear pools surrounded by granite rock boulders before returning to the Resort.

Take in an art walk in historic San José del Cabo
San José del Cabo’s vibrant local art scene is just a quick jaunt away from Chileno Bay Resort, conveniently situated between the twin towns of San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

Every Thursday evening between November and June, San José del Cabo turns its main street, Obregon, into a car-free zone to accommodate gallery hoppers to the town’s increasingly popular Art Walk, featuring special “artist in attendance” events and new exhibition openings.

Go on an exhilarating ride through deep desert canyons
Hop on a dune buggy or ATV to explore the Baja outback few people get to see. We’re going on an off-roading adventure, so buckle up on your side-by-side Polaris Razor or ATV for an exhilarating ride through dusty desert terrain, deep canyons and wide riverbeds before reaching the beach with miles of pristine sand dunes and spectacular cliffs.

Deep-sea fish
One recent angler was already elated with netting eight yellowfin tuna, including a 35-pounder, on his first day on the water; then on his second day, he caught a 140-pound striped marlin. “It was a dream come true,” he said.

Bisbee’s Black and Blue, each year—there are more striped marlin caught within 20 miles of Cabo San Lucas year round than any other place in the world.

The deep-water canyons at the mouth of Cabo San Lucas harbor and the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez create favorable fishing conditions for a number of other prized catch, including mahi-mahi, swordfish, grouper and wahoo.

Go on a sunset sail through Cabo Bay
There’s nothing more romantic than sailing the waters off Cabo as the crimson sun dips into the blue waters of the Pacific.

Lie back on the soft deck cushions as we set sail by some of Cabo’s most gorgeous spots—including the distinctive Arch and Lover’s Beach—made all the more spectacular under the rich, maroon glow of a Cabo sunset.

Sail the tranquil waters of the Sea of Cortez
French explorer Jacques Cousteau famously called the Sea of Cortez “the world’s aquarium.” Come and see why.

Climb on board, then lie back on the soft deck cushions as we set sail by some of Cabo’s most gorgeous spots, including the distinctive Arch and Lover’s Beach.

Keep your eyes peeled for the always-bustling sea lion colony, and look out for other incredible sea life, from dolphins and rays, and in winter, humpback whales spouting in the distance. If you’re feeling adventurous, jump in the waters to swim, snorkel or stand-up paddleboard in the calm waters.

Snorkel among the pristine coral reefs of Chileno Bay’s protected cove
One of Cabo’s best snorkeling reefs is just outside our door. “You’ll feel like you’re swimming in an aquarium,” says one enthusiastic snorkeler (L). Discover a hidden underwater world of colorful tropical fish, vividly-hued coral reefs, and even the occasional sea turtle.

Head to H2O Cave, our on-site sports activity center, where one of our professional staff members can fit you with a complimentary snorkel mask with attached GoPro camera for capturing your aquatic journey.

Explore tranquil Chileno Bay on an elliptical board
You’ve tried stand-up paddleboarding— now give elliptical boarding a try. With our state-of-the-art Hobie Mirage Eclipse boards, you can pedal straight onto the calm waters of Chileno Bay for a unique and exhilarating ride.

Head to H2O Cave, our on-site sports activity center, where one of our professional staff members can help you choose from our wide selection of complimentary elliptical boards and offer expert tips and guidance.

Take in one of Cabo’s only swimmable beaches
We’re the only resort with direct access to this Blue Flag-certified beach. “You’ll feel like you’re swimming in an aquarium,” says one fan of Chileno Bay Beach.

This almost half-mile stretch of golden sand leads to calm, tranquil waters and one of Cabo’s best snorkeling reefs, where you’ll discover a hidden underwater world of colorful tropical fish, manta rays, sea urchins and the occasional sea turtle less than 20 yards from shore.

Take in any number of watersports activities, from kayaking and stand up paddle boarding to elliptical boarding, with complimentary equipment from H2O Cave, our on-site sports activity center. Or you can just opt to sit back and relax on one of our many chaise lounges lined along the shore.

Golf a private championship course overlooking the Sea of Cortez
With over a dozen championship courses—all with dramatic desert and sea views—Los Cabos may just be one of the finest places to golf in the world.

Tee it up at the private 18-hole, par 72 championship Chileno Bay Club Golf Course, conceived by world-renowned course designer Tom Fazio, and open only to course members and guests of Chileno Bay Resort & Residences.

Nearly 7,300 yards of play take advantage of the surrounding desert terrain, dotted with saguaro cactuses and native grasses, to offer stunning ocean views from every hole. The challenging Hole 12 – Par 5 combines a deep arroyo that runs in-between the tees and the fairway.

El Capullo
Introducing Chileno’s newest oceanfront dining experience: El Capullo. With special menus created exclusively by Comal’s Chef Yvan Mucharraz, we take toes-in-the-sand dining to the next level.

Drink and dine inside your snug cubbyhole, while watching the sun sink into the Sea of Cortez, or soak up the zen-inducing atmosphere while imbibing on pre-dinner cocktails while lounging on pillows and blankets before moving just a couple of feet outside to the beach with a table set for two.
