This new lodge and unparalleled new alpine living quality is truly inspiring. We do not want to create any divisions at the Alpenrose, so the Cocoon by Alpenrose is also part of the Wellnessresidenz. Whichever part of Alpenrose you’re in, the smile of our pampering experts and the high quality of the cuisine remain unchanged.

We are not bothered about Michelin chef’s hats, but we do want to put a smile on the faces of our guests and both maintain and continue to promote our regional identity. We stand for togetherness, for the common good and friendliness within the Alpenrose family.

The combination of world-famous Tyrolean glass culture with exclusive room and lighting design, warm colours and fine fabrics, coupled with a mix of regional natural stone and authentic old wood, is truly unique.

Of course, our guests in the Cocoon also enjoy the many Alpenrose extras at no additional charge, with all-day pampering in the Cocoon restaurant, including soft drinks, wellness, swimming and relaxation in an area spanning 8,000 square metres, supervised indoor and outdoor sports programme, free rental of sports equipment, lively evening entertainment and an extensive children’s programme including all-day care.

In addition to our all-inclusive services, a dedicated Cocoon receptionist ensures that all our guests’ wishes are fulfilled throughout the day.

You can find many of the most beautiful paintings and artefacts from the period of the Austrian Renaissance alongside Tyrolean folk art throughout the Alpenrose. Portraits by Franz Xaver Winterhalter, motifs from Kaiser Maximilian’s hunting book or antique Tyrolean craftsmanship in the public rooms.

At the Cocoon snack maker, you can experience live how traditional Austrian dishes merge with modern cuisine. All day long: From a varied breakfast buffet through alpine tapas and small snacks to a warm appetiser and lavish dessert buffet that complements the main courses served at the table in the evening.

WINE – A THEME CLOSE TO OUR HEARTS
Our sommelier, Julia, has selected the finest tastes from Austria and the entire wine world for our tasteful wine cellar.

She ensures the ideal storage and temperature of approximately 1000 bottles in the Alpenrose sensory workshop and will be happy to advise you so that you can enjoy your perfect tipple. This new workshop at the Cocoon is a masterpiece of Tyrolean carpentry that will leave you astounded.

Bathing facilities

Here in our pool area you can dive into the healing azure. The cool wet facilities in our spring garden are powerful yet gentle. The 23 metre long sports pool with a 10 metre outdoor section in the House of the Elements is an athletic challenge. A soothing bath in the saltwater pool beneath the open skies above the panorama terrace is beneficial to your health. The 800 square metre bathing pond in the hotel garden is a natural beauty. And water is a synonym for fun in the adventure water world for families.

THE BATHING POND
Our 800 square metre biotope pond is the heart of our beautiful hotel garden. The sun-loungers on the sandy shores exude Caribbean flair, yet the pond is nonetheless reminiscent of a small, natural mountain lake.

That could be down to the breath-taking mountain panorama that surrounds the pleasantly tempered bathing pond.

THE TYROLEAN SALT GROTTO (FROM 18 YEARS)
A touch of the mystical. A lighted grotto set in Tyrolean rock. Float free in the water like in the Dead Sea. This is what our natural salt grotto, with its 34°C water temperature, is all about.

The mineral salts in the salt pool create pure well-being: your body relaxes, cell regeneration is enhanced and the detox process intensified.

THE WATER-WORLD FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Our little guests will find the water in their very own pool a source of great adventure. Be it in the baby pool or kiddies’ pool, on the 110 metre tyre slide or playing with one of the many water games, fun and laughter are guaranteed every time.

Forget the worries of everyday life, let go and be pampered from head to toe… our guests are welcome to do all of these things in our 8,000 square metre Temple of Vitality.

An inventively designed fantasy sauna world with different saunas, steam baths, natural salt grotto, infra-red cabins and relaxation areas, as well as an extensive vitality, spa and wellness programme invite you to enjoy relaxation pure.

But we want to invite you to go a step further. What if the holistic wellness experience were to lead to a healthy change in thinking and a new attitude to life? If the revitalising massage is only the starting gun for a more vitalised, fulfilling life?

Our trained therapists, beauticians and vitality coaches can accompany you on your way to new horizons and relieve you of some ballast through soothing massages, feel-good baths and effective beauty treatments. But you must actively follow the path yourself.

Starting with an honest look at yourself. By recognising your own potentials and weaknesses. And where else could be more appropriate than our Temple of Vitality? After all, self-confrontation can be exhausting. Relaxation and pampering are just what you need.

Stay grounded and reach for the stars – that’s what our guests can do in our panorama sauna on the roof terrace of our House of the Elements. Healthy sweating at 75 degrees releases mental and physical blockages whilst the panoramic view creates inspiration for new ideas.

THE LOG CABIN SAUNA
The far north sends its compliments to the Tyrolean Alps. Our log cabin sauna in the hotel garden is a reproduction of a Swedish sauna solidly constructed from Swedish wood.

This is the place to enjoy THE sauna experience – enhance your body’s resilience and strengthen its immune system. Round off your sauna session in the wonderful surroundings of the quiet room.

Today is the first day of your future life. Use it to make a fresh start. Like a car, your body also needs sufficient fuel to get going. Get your engine up and running and fill up with strength and energy at the Fit and Fun House by engaging in some light exercise and targeted movement.

Our Fit and Fun House can give any professional fitness studio a run for its money. Although maybe not quite: after all, the whole-day supervision provided by our trained fitness instructors is all-inclusive.

They will show you how to train efficiently and properly using the various state-of-the-art machines and equipment and give you tips on how to reach your performance goals faster.

You can participate in our extensive activity and relaxation programme on seven days of the week – and multiple times per day if you so wish.

From aqua gymnastics, step aerobics, yoga, Zumba, TRX or kinesis to sports activities in the great outdoors such as hiking, mountain bike tours, cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking: whatever your preference, our fitness and leisure time instructors will motivate you to healthy activities in a relaxed atmosphere.

Make use of the opportunity to become acquainted with new types of sport as part of our fitness and activity programme. You can use the equipment you need free of charge.

We have hiking backpacks, shoes and poles, snowshoes, modern mountain bikes, e-bikes and e-cars as well as GPS systems – in fact, everything you need to discover the beautiful activity and vitality region around Lake Achensee either on your own or as part of a group.

The burden of everyday life can weigh heavy on your back. Our state-educated spinal trainer Matthias has a special back-fitness programme that will help you cure your back pain and prevent new occurrences. After all, a head full of ideas needs the support of a strong back.

The lake in summer
Mountains and lakes, forests and meadows, climbing the summit and relaxing on alpine pastures. You can find some of the most beautiful destinations in Tyrol around the Alpenrose. We are proud of this. And we love sharing this with our guests.

The Karwendel Alpine Park, a nature conservation area with unique flora and fauna, is right on our doorstep. And we will show you the most beautiful side of the hiking paradise around the Alpenrose.

This is during our hiking weeks, but also as part of our summer activity programme. Discover the mysterious beauty of nature several times a week on our guided hikes together with our recreational guides.

The lake in winter
The region around Lake Achensee in Austria is not only a great destination for winter sports, but also a wonderful place for relaxing and slowing down.

The air sparkles like champagne, and the deep blue sky shows first signs of spring – while you enjoy dashing down slopes or cross-country trails, or experiencing a romantic carriage ride.

If you prefer to take things more leisurely, you will appreciate the beautiful winter hiking trails that invite you to discover the slow pace around Lake Achensee. A special experience is a snowshoe hike, during which you can reach the most beautiful spots amidst the mountain solitude.

An activity that can be both romantic and a lot of fun is a Toboggan ride. Hike uphill in sunshine during the day, and at night enjoy the silence of the winter forest. A stop at the mountain lodge is a must before racing down into valley on the toboggan run.

Winter Hike with the TVB – Landscape in Winter
The hike leads into the Falzthurntal valley in the direction of Gramai. A gentle ascent leads you through a beautiful forest until you reach the Falzthurnalm. From here it goes on the open surfaces to the brook bed.

With a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains we let ourselves be carried away into a time long past. Our hotel bus will gladly take you to the Langlaufstüberl in Pertisau, from where the hike starts at 10.00 am. Duration: approx. 4 hours

Achensee boat trip
An unforgettable experience during the only “deep-sea boat trip” on the Achensee in Tyrol, because with us you “go up” to the lake. With the elegance of the ships, the majestic gliding on the largest lake in Tyrol and the professionalism of over 70 employees, your visit to the Achenseeschiffahrt will be a real treat.

Culture Trip Swarovski Crystal Worlds
A special experience are the Swarovski – Crystal Worlds in Wattens. A giant with sparkling eyes guards the mysterious subterranean world of experience around the theme of crystal.

Marvel at the smallest and the largest crystal, an 11-metre high crystal wall, the Crystal Dome, which makes you think you are inside a crystal, and the Crystal Theatre with its magnificently decorated figures, as well as the new Crystal Cloud and the glass tower.

Alpenzoo Innsbruck
The Alpenzoo is the highest zoo in Europe. More than 2000 animals of 150 species invite you to an eventful visit to the animal world of the Alpine region.

The special feature of this “zoo” is the presentation of Alpine life forms in historical and modern times. As a “theme zoo”, it is the only one of its kind in the world that has such a complete collection of animals of the of the European Alpine region.
