Dar Kandi is a traditional and historic Riad in the heart of the Medina, located in a very quiet and convenient neighborhood. The mission was to make a boutique hotel, with Moroccan characteristics revisited in a modern key, able to provide its customers with high-level personalized services.
The renovation was been completed in 2018 by Italians people, after two years of hard work done with passion and respect for local traditions. The renovation was done using local products (Tadelack, Tasa Stone, Fes’s Zelige, Marbles, Cedar Wood, etc.) combined with high quality technical.
The name of the Riad, “Dar Kandi”, chosen by Mrs Patty Birch has been kept in her honor for all the cultural activities she carried out in Marrakech and other parts of the world.
The philosophy that inspired us, was to create an environment capable of hosting travelers from all over the world, in a romantic environment done a combination of charme, confort and elegance, in which the customer is pampered and followed to make the most of the services offered by Dar Kandi.
Suite Deluxe
The suite on the first floor has two large arched windows that make it bright and allow a view of the patio from above. The Zelige floor in Fes and the Venetian stucco walls, both of the color of the city of Marrakech, combined with colored plaster decorations, give the room a Moorish character.
In a soft light, the bathroom in local pink marble worked, has inside a large tub and a double shower. The sleeping area, with a king size bed (separable) with an important cedar wood headboard.
The size of the entire room is 41 square meters and still consists of a lounge and a spacious dressing room. Possibility of providing a third guest
Suite COLONIAL
The first floor suite is split over two levels. The large window of the Menzeh gives light and charm to the room. The Moroccan floor tiles, gray tadelack walls, and beige-ecru furnishings give the room a Moroccan colonial character.
On the first level an entrance and a bathroom with a large shower In the relaxation area, on the second level, a large window on the winter garden with climbing plants and ferns on a background of black and white cement.
The king-size bed (separable) in front of the large windows of the Menzeh has a special headboard made with treated leather inserts. The linen is made en Egyptian cotton. The size of the whole room is 40 square meters, and there is the possibility of providing a third guest.
Suite Touch DéCo
The suite located on the patio level has a large Moroccan-style entrance door, just outside the room the pergola that allows the room to be protected from the summer sun.
The floor in black cement tiles, the Venetian white stucco walls and the hand-made decorations in white plaster give the room a mixed Moroccan art deco character. In a soft light, the bathroom in Carrara marble worked, has inside a large tub and a shower.
The king-size (separable) bed of slightly elevated dominates the development of the room. The linen is made en Egyptian cotton. The size of the entire room is 35 square meters, and there is the possibility of providing a third guest

ROOFTOP POOL
From the pool it has a wonderful view of the Medina and the Atlas. A special experience is swimming in the pool under the sky illuminated by a thousand stars.
Available to guests only, the swimming pool of Dar Kandi which is located on one of the three terraces, next to it the solarium, where you can take a sunbath. The warm temperature of Marrakech allows the swimming pool to be kept open all year round.
Large Terrace
Dar Kandi’s rooftop terrace, surrounded by succulents and exotic plants, offers you large sun loungers on which to tan or read a good book. From this terrace you can sit comfortably sipping a drink or having breakfast or dinner and enjoy the view of the Medina or the Atlas which in winter has its snow peaks.
