Dimora Santa Margherita is the ideal place for a charming and exclusive holiday in Tuscany. Nature here prevails over everything, it is not difficult to meet foxes, deers, wild boars, herresses and badgers. A suggestive country road, which once connected Castiglioncello Bandini with Grosseto, will transport you from everyday reality to a unique dimension… you will find it difficult to come back home again!

The location is in a small town, an ideal setting for those who love to live special moments in a romantic setting, surrounded by a luxury full of flavor and tradition. In the front square, built entirely of stone, you can share breakfast and stay in company.

From here, you access the terrace, which opens onto the horizon on the green valley, until you see the sea and breathe its scent. On the clearest days you can enjoy the view of the island of Montecristo.

Every moment lived in the Dimora Santa Margherita is unique and pleasant, since waking up in the morning in the quiet, between the scents and the warm light, which filters through the large windows and regenerates the body and soul.

Then entertaining yourself in the lounge area in sought wine tastings, immersing yourself in the pool to feel one with sky and earth or getting lost in the colors that change the appearance of the surrounding hills are just some of the ways to spend the day at the Dimora.

THE HISTORY
Dimora Santa Margherita, an ancient farmhouse of the 1600s, is a relais de charme overlooking 360 degrees of silence and beauty. The location is located in a small town, an ideal setting for those who love to live special moments in a romantic setting, surrounded by an elegance full of flavor and tradition.

“I wanted to rediscover the joy of my summers as a child – says the “landlord” William Boselli – for this reason my wife Elisabetta and I have traveled far and wide throughout Tuscany. Then, they found this little village and we fell in love with it. By the way, “fleeing” to Tuscany was the dream of both our parents”.

Elisabetta and William, who also fled Milan, took years to make the dream real. Years of research of original materials, years of meetings with local artisans, years to create the atmosphere that you breathe today: that “vintage-chic”, refined yet simple, that makes the guest feel at home, from whatever side it comes from.

Dimora Santa Margherita is famous for the breathtaking view that continues to excite us. To thank it we surrounded it with laurel and lavender plants, roses, oleanders that we joined to the olive trees and centuries-old oaks. This splendor seemed to us to deserve also an “olfactory direction”. Of course, there is no shortage of “tall and frank” cypresses, as expected “by contract” from the best Tuscany.

Dimora santa margherita is an escape in time. Just a glance from a window and you find yourself in front of a Renaissance panorama. And this happens in all suites. All with handmade terracotta floor, all with exposed beams, important walls and an olive tree guarding each entrance.

The renewed rooms have been transformed into suites, different from each other and equipped with private gardens, overlooking the olive grove that embraces the sinuous hills. The terrace, which opens onto the horizon on the green valley, until you see the sea and breathe its scent. On the clearest days you can enjoy the view of the island of Montecristo.

THE SUITES
The renewed rooms have been transformed into suites, different from each other and equipped with private gardens, overlooking the olive grove that embraces the sinuous hills.

SAUNA SUITE
The Montecucco Suite has important furniture, light white curtains, ecrù color on the walls and a brilliant connection between the bedroom and the wellness area where, in front of the Finnish sauna (in suite) and a stone sink, a vintage bathtub “reigns”. The suite also holds a delightful secret: between spring and summer the fiery sunset light enters into the shower.

GARDEN SUITE
The rooms are large and all have a private garden or veranda with a magnificent panoramic view of the Maremma valley and up to the sea. Finely furnished, they give the guest shades of green, leather, wood and bright colors for a well-being of the mind; they have a large shower and some also have a bathtub

THE JUNIOR SUITE
The Junior Suite is inspired by flowers and is located on the first floor of this old farmhouse. This room enjoys a breathtaking view of the valley until you see the sea in the distance.

DINING
The passion in the kitchen rediscovers in simple dishes the tradition and flavors of the territory. There is no shortage of the thousand attentions that are born in the kitchen and that will make your stay unforgettable.

THE WINES
In recent years we have selected exclusively Tuscan wines, from the most renowned, to the most authentic jewels of small producers, little known but with notes full of life. This allowed us to create a complete wine list for every occasion. We always liked to drink wine… but today we are creating a path that goes further, that is, we are preparing our label for you.

THE BREAKFAST
The awakening is characterized by a pleasant and rich breakfast buffet, with local products. We satisfy the palates who love sweet and savory, offering express dishes cooked directly by the chef. A note that belongs to us and distinguishes us, are the homemade cakes and biscuits.

Also for breakfast, as well as for lunch and dinner you can choose your table in the cloister in the dim ness of the cannucci and next to the centuries-old olive tree overlooking the center, or in the belvedere terrace in the shade of the white wooden canopy or alternatively in the restaurant with large windows on the valley.

TASTINGS & COOKING CLASSES
Coming to Tuscany to spend a holiday, also means satisfying your palate and for this, we can organize wine tastings at our most renowned partner winery in Montalcino. Tastings of local products like oil, meat, cold cuts cheeses and seasonal vegetables.

For those who have the desire to take home a culinary memory, we advise you to participate in the Tuscan cooking class. To complete unique sensory experiences, we advise you to come back to us for grape harvesting and olive harvesting. Two periods of the year that deserve to be lived in complete harmony of nature.

THE SWIMMING POOL
The symbol of Dimora Santa Margherita is the saltwater infinity pool on the valley that ends where the sea begins, a swimming pool 20 meters long and 10 meters wide, born from the design of a heart, sinuous and sensual and then translated, the pool captures the most spectacular sunsets and the memory will remain indelible.

WELL-BEING
The days can also be characterized by pleasant relaxing events, sun salutation, yoga, messages and beauty treatments performed by qualified staff. Those who like to walk or go up to a real trekking can go into the surrounding countryside and create unforgettable routes to their own extent.

For those who like to walk, but without effort, we recommend the use of e-bikes or horses. For all those who appreciate silence, calm, and idleness, all you have to do is stay immersed in this little corner of paradise and regenerate completely in body and spirit.

SURROUNDINGS
We are in Maremma, in the most uncontaminated and intact part of Tuscany, immersed in the wild and sincere nature that embraces and cuddles anyone who stops in front of the magic of this territory. Dimora Santa Margherita was born in Castiglioncello Bandini at a height of 360 meters above sea level, a small hamlet of Cinigiano in the province of Grosseto and has about 70 inhabitants.

The ancient road that once joined the sea to the mountain, today becomes a path between this extraordinary charming relais and the small medieval village, we talk about 2.5 km of dirt road immersed in a wildlife area protected by natural beauty. If luck is with you, this route reserves pleasant encounters with several inhabitants of the area: the fox, the badger, the hare, the woodpecker, the poiana, the thorny, the roe deer and the wild boar.

Castiglioncello Bandini dominates the surrounding hills to the sea and remains on the famous Montecucco road, characterized by sangiovese grapes drawn on the hills that also welcome extraordinary olive groves. The landscape appears fairy and gives all lovers of oil and wine unique and great character experiences.

Around us, many medieval villages are born, in visiting them you will be transported to the past, also festivals and county fairs are organized, which together with their customs bring the soul back to the times that were.

Nearby, 30/60 minutes by car, it is possible to reach historical destinations of great tradition such as Montalcino cradle of the famous Brunello wine, Pienza with its sheep cheeses, Montepulciano with noble wine. For those who are nostalgic for the city, a 60-minute drive away they can reach Siena, declared a UNESCO world heritage site or Grosseto, a step away from the sea.

You can visit, Sorano and Pitigliano characterized by tuff constructions, Sovana ancient medieval town, the thermal baths of Saturnia that with sulphurous waters makes pleasant and healing every bath made in the rocky tanks dug by water. If you feel like beaches and sea you can reach Castiglione Della Pescaia, Punta Ala or the Costa dell’Argentario with Porto Santo Stefano, Porto Ercole and Orbetello.
