Roof Top Suite
The Roof Top Suite will give you the impression of living within your very own high-end chalet in one of the most coveted locations in the south of Spain.
This spacious suite includes a bedroom with a King size bed, a separate living room with a dining table, faux-fur design accents, as well as an ample bathroom with a double vanity and shower.
The skylight ceiling allows natural light to flood in, giving you a sense of total connectedness with the snowy surroundings. Guests can step out of their living room straight onto their private deck with a six-person Jacuzzi and sauna.
Lodge Suite Pool

Our skilled mixologists can offer you some of the most well-respected classic cocktails, or something a little more creative – and if you can’t find a cocktail that speaks to you on our menu, we can rustle up something off-menu too! We also offer an exquisite list of fine wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks.
All of our set menus are available to view ahead of time to allow you to plan your trip in advance, and we also offer room service from 7:00am – midnight for those quiet nights in. Pre ski-session, our breakfast buffet serves an abundance of decadent treats, as well as healthy options, from homemade pastries and artisan cheese platters, to smoked salmon and fresh fruit. Hot dishes are made to order.
Game and fondue are featured on the lunch and dinner menus, in addition to fresh grilled fish and Caviar de Riofrio, the first certified organic caviar in the world, which is produced not far from Sierra Nevada.
The Sun Deck
Ski-in from the slopes to The Sun Deck, Sierra Nevada’s only ski-in/ski-out restaurant. The fusion menu features everything from warm consommés and homemade soups to BBQ platters and kid’s menus, making this the perfect lunch pit stop.
Or, if you’d like to enjoy a signature cocktail or a crisp Gin & Tonic, stay warm between runs with faux-fur throws and artisan tables with built-in fireplaces. We also provide an ongoing boot-heating service so you can extend your stay well into the afternoon.
The Bar

We are often asked whether El Lodge is suitable for newbie skiers, and the simple answer is, yes! Not only do the slopes of Sierra Nevada cater to a range of abilities, but we also offer an in-house ski guide and school for those looking to develop a brand-new skill.
Take part in our group ski sessions alongside others of a similar ability to you, or benefit from one to one personal instruction from one of our skilled, multi-lingual professionals and immerse yourself into this truly wonderful sport.
Ski Slopes
Sierra Nevada is the second highest mountain range in Western Europe after the Alps. The maximum height is reached at the peak of the impressive Mulhacen at 3,483 meters. In 1986 it was declared a Unesco Biosphere Reserve and in 1999, it became a National Park due to its biodiversity and natural beauty.
Sierra Nevada has 106 km of ski area, comprised of 124 pistes – 9 green, 41 blue, 50 red and 7 black – perfectly suitable for all skill levels. The Sierra Nevada Ski station also has three areas dedicated for families and children, as well as a special snow park for tubing and sleighing.
Sierra Nevada’s enviable climate allows for a late season closing and even short-sleeve skiing on numerous occasions. The Station is open daily from 9:00 am – 4:45 pm
Access
Guests can ski out directly from the hotel via the Maribel piste down to the main station, accessible by the Sun Deck. Complimentary and individual shuttles to the Pradollano, the most central point of the station, are available for guests of the hotel, daily from 8:00 am – midnight.

When it’s time to hit the slopes our pret-a-porter equipment hire strips away the sport’s stresses. Our professional team from Iliberis School will be delighted to advise you on the equipment that best fits your skills and preferences.
The best-known international brands like Bogner, Phenix, Stockli and Oakley are available. We also supply play equipment so that young and old can have fun in the snow.
Ski Guide & School
In special collaboration with Iliberis, guests at El Lodge can take skiing, snowboarding, telemark, snowshoes and crossing lessons with guaranteed quality and personalised service.
Join one of these groups, divided into skill levels, or hit the slopes with a personal instructor to improve your slalom or to get initiated in this fantastic sport. Our instructors are available in almost any language.
Kids Club
Children can find their own world within El Lodge in the Kids Club. Our play area, carefully designed by MiniMec, comes to life with games and arts and crafts activities so that the little ones can be creative and inspired.
Please note that the Kids Club is unsupervised. If you need a baby-sitter, Reception will be delighted to assist you.

El Lodge is located in Monachil, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada ski resort in the province of Granada, in Andalusia, Spain. The southernmost ski resort in Europe, it offers our visitors five-star facilities with more than 100 km of pistes, an enviable climate and a top leisure and après-ski ambiance.
Sierra Nevada is only 33 km from historic Granada, world-famous for the Alhambra, and 43 km from Granada International Airport. Malaga’s high speed train station and airport are a 2-hour drive from the hotel, as are the famous beaches of the Costa del Sol.
Its privileged location at the foot of the slopes and, at an altitude of 2,100 m, means there is direct access from El Lodge to Maribel, one of the main ski runs of Sierra Nevada.
