Situated in the center of Barcelona, just a few steps away from the exclusive “Paseo de Gracia”, the historic Barrio Gotico and the famous Las Ramblas, El Palace Barcelona is surrounded by luxury boutiques, fashionable restaurants and by the most important sites that you shouldn’t be missed.

Guest rooms
El Palace Hotel Barcelona has 120 guest rooms fully-equipped with the latest technology. All decorated with the elegant and historical style of our classic luxury.

The Art Suites

Exclusive, original and unique, the Art Suites arise in 2016 when the decision is made to expand the existing suites. Each suite is inspired by a discipline (painting, dance, architecture, literature, sculpture and music) through a character that is a reference in it and that boasts a close relationship with the hotel.

Suite Salvador Dalí
The walls of this wonderful suite house endless memories of the many different eccentricities of the eternal Salvador Dalí.

In this same suite, where he lived for long periods, he met up with famous models, turned himself into a work of art through his famous performances to the press and starred in the most surrealist anecdotes, some of which are unforgettable: such as when he took a stuffed white horse up to the suite as a gift for his wife Gala or the day he was photographed with models in the Roman bath. The Dalí suite is unique.

A trip to the past

The Dalí suite evokes the sophisticated, prestigious atmosphere of the hotel’s beginnings. Handmade rugs, lovingly-restored antiques, nineteenth-century desks and chairs, fabrics made from seventeenth-century Italian damask patterns, ceiling lamps and wall lamps made as true replicas of the originals, a wonderful main bed with canopy and a chinoiserie-style wardrobe, as well as the authentic Roman bath with mosaics that Salvador Dalí and his wife Gala used, among many other noteworthy pieces. A very special suite, in which hours can be spent observing every detail.

Personal details

The suite is home to exclusive memories from the period in which Salvador Dalí lived at the hotel, such as the famous photograph of the time he took the stuffed white horse up the stairs, which was seen around the world.

Miro Suite
Joan Miró was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century and of surrealism. More famous for his paintings, his artwork also encompassed other disciplines, such as pottery, engraving, lithography and sculpture, with a very personal style that reflected his concerns.

In the early twentieth century, only a few years before the doors of the Ritz opened, he joined the Barcelona School of Fine Arts. It was here that he first came into contact with sculpture and was enticed by it over the years until his own sculptural work began to gain significant importance in the sixties.

The Golden Suite

Colour is basic in Joan Miró’s work, especially the use of primary colours and, although bronze is very important in sculpture, this essence is reflected in all of his work.

The colour scheme chosen for this suite includes mustard yellow, a warm, bright colour that is happy and optimistic, combined with lead grey and high-quality dark woods. The Joan Miró suite has classic, stately lines, with French Louis XVI-style furniture and delicate fabrics.

Lamps and wall lights have been reproduced as an exact replica of the hotel’s original lighting, and the Roman bath with its original mosaics on the walls and floor remains in place.

THE ROOFTOP GARDEN WILL BE OPEN: (Thursdays from 5.00pm to 9.30pm – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1.30pm to 9.30pm)

Inspired by the romantic garden at the palace of Francesc Cambó (famous politician from the early 20th century) and by the paintings by the modernist artist Ramon Casas, this is possibly the largest, most exclusive roof garden in Barcelona, covering an area of 1,500 m2.

A place filled with secret corners, fragrances and colours, and inspired by the Barcelona of the 20s in all its splendour. Each detail is designed to delight all your senses: ponds, a pool, pergolas, babbling water, over fifty varieties of plants, an haute cuisine restaurant and a solarium that almost lets you touch the clouds.

Pergola Ciutadella
Perfumes, colours, lights…the beauty of this space will leave you spellbound

As soon as you step foot inside, the elegant Pergola seems to be welcoming you in. Decorated with tropical plants and a design that is reminiscent of the Umbraculum at the Ciutadella Park, you will feel like you have found an oasis of tranquillity.

The area is also home to classic plants from Barcelona’s early 20th century: citrus trees, orchids, an orchard and exotic fruit trees. It is one of our favourite places to eat, or have a snack or a glass of wine on warm summer days or evenings.

Sagrada Familia Pergola
The most romantic garden

Delicate scents, enveloping lights and endless colours will make this feel like a magical place. A stroll with orange blossom accompanying you to the beautiful sculpture of Diana, in homage of the Roman goddess of the hunt who stands in Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes, and a telescope through which to see the Sagrada Familia as if it were right in front of you. Intimate corners, loungers for relaxation and sunbathing, and beauty in each detail.

Restaurant L’Éclair

L’Éclair, a place where gastronomy is dynamic, with a focus on cooking with traditional touches where each detail is important.

Born from the desire to respect the essence of each product and to make them the main protagonists of each dish, the menu at l’Éclair is inspired by bistro gastronomy with French touches adapting to the essence of the city: giving pride of place to Mediterranean products and creations.
