SUITES
The 5 Esiweni private suites appeal to the great outdoors. The suites are constructed on the side of a cliff overlooking the Sunday River and offering an exceptional view of the Nambiti Reserve.
Our very spacious suites combine luxury and elegance. Independent from one another, each suite offers a private terrace for you to enjoy the landscape from your lounge chair. The sliding glass windows open entirely and offer a breathtaking view from your bed.
Each suite equipped with floor heating, an interior bath and shower, as well as an exterior bath or shower, separate toilet, a lounge area, a coffee/tea machine and a safe deposit box.

The animal species are very numerous, of which the Big 5 so much look for in South Africa. The reserve implements actions of animal reintroduction, but also watch against poaching.
The landscape of the reserve will transport you from the bush to the savannah through immense plains along the river. You will discover waterfalls and a natural pool.
Nambiti Game Reserve will transport you into a unique world. The mesmerizing beauty of nature in combination with high animal density will provide you a one of a kind experience.
Solidarity reserve
Nambiti Game Reserve is one of the very rare private reserves to support and help the local Zulu Senzo’kuhle Nkos unodada community. This community maintains ownership of the land and rents, long term, the reserve to the lodges. In exchange, the lodge owners have made a commitment to hire the local workforce.
Back to history
Nambiti is found in the heart of the battlefield of the war between the Britsih, the Boers and the Zulus. The commemorative monument of the Battle of Elandslaagte is at the entrance of the reserve and ruins of the military hospital can be found on the property.

The reserve is only one hour from Drakensberg Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which offers many activities such as hiking, rafting, horseback riding, biking, 4 x 4, fly fishing and boating.

Esiweni invites you to take part in an adventure in the Nambiti Reserve at sunrise and sunset aboard an open air 4X4 allowing you to fully enjoy your safari. You will be in complete safety accompanied by an experienced ranger.
He will explain how to follow animal tracks and successfully spot them hidden in the bush or the savannah. He will help you look for, not only lions, rhinoceros, elephants, buffalo and leopards, called the “Big Five”, but also other animals such as cheetahs who are endangered.
He will explain to you plant life and birdlife and will tell you a thousand one anecdotes of his life in the bush allowing you to discover all of the facets of this wild world.
