Essque Zalu features 40 Suites as well as 8 Residences ranging from three to four bedrooms to choose from, all of which boast views of the Indian Ocean or the lush tropical gardens. The Resort itself has been carefully constructed to make the most of these breathtaking views: an idyllic turquoise lagoon, the tranquil ocean, and the expansive flourishing gardens.
Throughout the property, there is an abundant use of the neutral color scheme and traditional artwork, embracing the simplicity and serenity of an island lifestyle.
On its main island, Unguja, familiarly called Zanzibar, is Stone Town, a historic trade center with Swahili and Islamic influences. Its winding lanes present minarets, carved doorways and 19th-century landmarks such as the House of Wonders, a former sultan’s palace. The northern villages Nungwi and Kendwa have wide beaches lined with hotels.
Zanzibar is hotter from September to April, with the average temperature ranging between 26 and 32 °c. The weather is cooler from May to August, as the average temperature averages out between 25 and 28°c.

RESIDENCES
For a more spacious stay, Essque Zalu offers 8 Residences ranging from 3 to 4 bedrooms all of which feature their very own plunge private pool, dining room, a private spa, spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen. As expected, the Residences also boast either a terrace or balcony, with exquisite views, upon which to laze.
SEAFRONT RESIDENCE
Our Seafront Residences, ranging from 3 to 4 bedrooms are Zanzibar’s permier address. For families or groups of friends, luxury at our Residences is all about time and space. Each bedroom features their own en-suite spacious bathroom, elegant furnishing and uninterrupted views of the Indian ocean.
The extra-large living areas adds an elegant dimension to the Residence. A dedicated butler is available to satisfy your every whim, from assisting with your unpacking, preparing your favorite beverage to planning your desired experiences.

With our Maasai Ritual, our aim is to, quite simply, take you on a renewal journey deeply immersed in the traditions sights and sounds of the Masaai culture in Zanzibar.
FOOT RITUAL
Using a fresh coconut and sand scrub, followed by a light foot massage with fresh lime, coconut and lime essential oil. The welcome into the Masaai Ritual, leaving your skin smooth. This treatment helps to immediately release tension by working on reflexology points as well as reduce muscle pains.
SINGO SCRUB & AROMATHERAPY
The Singo Body scrub is a traditional ritual in Zanzibar, usually administered to a young woman before the wedding day. Using African ingredients like Moringa leaves, cinnamon powder, ylang ylang and raw sugar, all blended in a ‘kinu’ traditional blender with rosewater.
AFRICAN FACIAL
