Finca Adalgisa Wine Hotel Mendoza

Finca Adalgisa is a little paradise situated within an old vineyard of Malbec vines which are over 100 years old. On the Finca we have a small winery, where we produce our own Malbec. Our wine can be enjoyed every evening at the Finca’s wine bar and is only open for hotel guests.

Finca Adalgisa is located in the village of Chacras de Coria, 20 minutes away from the city centre of Mendoza. It is at the heart of Mendoza’s Wine Route, with many wineries and vineyards within easy reach. Our Finca offers the perfect combination between the rural lifestyle and living in a small, but lively village.

SUITE ROOM – STONE HOUSE
The stone suite rooms are situated on the lawn, with the delightful pool beyond it. Each room has a twin or king-sized bed, and a cozy living room from which you can sip a glass of the Malbec produced in the single estate vineyard a few meters from your bedroom door.

You can watch the vineyard flooded with water using the ancient methods of irrigation and if it is the right time of year, you can watch the ploughing, still carried out using the traditional horse and plough or if you come in the early fall, the harvest. The rooms are a short walk from the breakfast room and the winery.(Suites 22-23-24) Size of the room 65m² – 700ft²

SUITE ROOM – TERRACE 
Up a short set of steps to this delightful room where a set of double doors leads out onto a large terrace. The terrace is protected by fruit trees around it affording plenty of privacy, but you can still see the vineyard and on a clear day, the stunning outline of the snow-capped Andes in the distance.

This is the perfect place to have a secluded morning coffee, the breakfast room is not far away, to read or enjoy the glass of rosado you had chilling in your fridge as the sun sets over the mountains. Size of the room 65m² – 700ft² (divided in room and terraze)

JUNIOR SUITE
Enjoy the cool traditional architecture of the ‘old house’ – the original structure built two centuries ago. Carefully controlled natural light and the heavy stone walls keep the rooms cool without the need for air-conditioning, allowing you to do your bit for the environment.

The wooden floors are cool underfoot and your room opens out into a quiet shared old-fashioned tropical veranda, with a beautifully landscaped courtyard garden beyond. In the winter, log fires keep you warm as you read with a café con leche or a glass of Malbec. Size of the room 45m² – 485ft²

PREMIUM ROOM
Located in the old house, rooms are slightly smaller than the junior suite. They benefit from the same cooling architecture and are comfortable. From here it is a few steps to your morning coffee and these are the closest rooms to the winery. Size of the room 35m² – 375ft²

FOOD & WINE
We believe all happiness depends on a great breakfast. Start your day with an espresso, cafe con leche, tea, traditional Argentine yerba mate or a freshly-squeezed juice – sometimes made with fruit from our own trees.

Enjoy eggs laid by free-range chickens, cheese made by a local dairy farmer and freshly-baked bread. There is also cereal, fruit, artisanal jams and of course, classic Argentine medialunas. There’s no rush – mornings start at a leisurely pace around here.

Each evening from 6 pm, we welcome our guests with a glass of wine in our small bodega overlooking the 100-year-old Malbec vines. We offer a light menu including salads, cheese and chacuterie platters.

On some nights, we offer a typical Argentine barbecue – the famous ‘asado’ experience – these are popular so make sure you book well in advance! And of course, there is a selection of the finest wines from our cellar.

COOKING CLASS
Gather in the winery in the early evening with Chef Cristina and sip a glass of house Rosado while she expertly prepares traditional Mendocina empanadas in a clay oven. With a glass of the Furlotti family Malbec in hand, watch as she makes fresh chimichurri sauce using olive oil produced from the trees on the property.

Later, she will cook beef and vegetables and even your dessert on the ‘parilla’, the open fired grill that even the tiniest city apartment in Argentina is never without. Finish with a Fernet, a traditional Argentine digestive. An unforgettable experience with a remarkable chef.

GARDEN & POOL
Adalgisa is an oasis in the heart of Mendoza’s wine region. Being a guest at the Finca means you’re welcomed as a friend. Here at the Finca, you’ll find a relaxing and informal environment where everything can be arranged spontaneously.

Our charming garden is dotted with cozy nooks for reading, sharing yerba mate and listening to the birds. Our swimming pool and pergola shaded area are superb for relaxing, slowing down and enjoying a cool glass of wine on a warm summer day.
