This is St. Moritz for the experienced. Pleasant luxury combined with absolute freshness. Hotel Giardino Mountain is a modern, five-star design hotel and a luxurious mountain resort in one. Think that’s unusual? Great! Be it a base camp for explorers or a place of retreat for more leisurely types, you decide for yourself which role is best for you. We are prepared for everything.

Easy, simple, unconventional. The Giardino Bed & Breakfast in Silvaplana is perfect for anyone who loves design and the Alps – and has no problem doing without an in-house restaurant and star-rated service. Stylish rooms, a hearty breakfast – and then off to a day full of acation. Now also opening for a longer winter season. Everything you need, with a casual vibe.

Impressive both inside and out. Simply connect seven Engadine houses subterraneously with one another, do up the interior as a fresh design hotel and finally create a cool, relaxed atmosphere.

The result: the Hotel Giardino Mountain. A five-star mountain resort – light, modern and completely fresh. Here in Champfèr, on the outskirts of St. Moritz, close to nature and far from your day-to-day worries.

Half St. Moritz, half mountain massif. The Hotel Giardino Mountain is located at almost 2,000 metres above sea level, between the Alpine peaks of Corvatsch and Corviglia. Surrounding it are the forests and mountain lakes of the Engadine valley.

The ensemble of seven Engadine buildings was extensively restored in 2011 and reopened as a design hotel. Five stars, three restaurants and one spa, a sun deck and a Bar-Lounge. And the rooms are pure Alpine chic. Curious?

ROOMS & SUITES
Historic walls and a contemporary interior – different centuries come together in the rooms of the Hotel Giardino Mountain. Untreated wood, bright colours, colourful fabrics and the charm of the rough mountain world combine to create a modern Alpine chic with maximum comfort. No two rooms are alike. Each one has its own character, and many boast sensational views as well.

From a chic base camp for sports enthusiasts to a sophisticated suite for total peace and quiet, the Hotel Giardino Mountain has pretty much everything. Surrounded by walls that date back as far as the 1800s, the hand-picked furniture and high-quality materials make the hotel particularly fresh and cosy. What is more, each room and suite has a unique layout. Guests are guaranteed to fly high.

Mountain Suite (60 qm)
The Mountain Suite is the crème de la crème of our retreats. Extending over a positively stunning total area of 60 square metres, it features hand-picked designer pieces and premium materials.

The suite is open, generously sized and still extremely cosy. Those able to drag themselves away from the unique panoramic views of the mountains and lakes can enjoy the blissful crackling of the fire in the open fireplace. This is simply the pinnacle.

Alpine Suite (55 qm)
The Alpine Suites are simply top of the range. Chic and somewhat traditional, their cream-coloured furnishings and elaborate wood panelling give the wonderful feeling of an Alpine chalet. Extending over an average of 55 cosy square metres, these suites contain everything it takes to guarantee a perfect winter wonderland experience.

Suite (50 qm)
In the suites, every guest is guaranteed to be on cloud nine. Boasting a separate sleeping and living area, they extend over an average surface area of a regal 50 square metres. Guests can admire the mountain scenery in private on their balcony or terrace.

Inside, high-quality fabrics and selected natural materials are the order of the day. The more compact, south-facing small suite has an area of only 32 square metres, but it is cheaper (with or without balcony).

Junior Suite (30 qm)
Heading to the skies: the Junior suites are as modern as they are Alpine. Extending over an average of 30 fabulous square metres, the separate sleeping and living areas (most) impress with their contemporary chic and cosy charm. Most offer a bathtub directly in the room. More than enough space for big plans.

Double Room (25 qm)
Stretch out and enjoy – these rooms offer a space to retreat and relax. Averaging an inviting 25 m2 in size, these rooms provide everybody with their own private comfort zone. The modern interior, the high-quality materials and the skilful use of colours enable guests to forget the outside world in no time at all.

DINING
The restaurants alone make navigating the winding road up to this mountain valley worthwhile. Open in the winter season, the Ecco at the Hotel Giardino Mountain is one of the best restaurants in St. Moritz. But the Hide & Seek and Stüva restaurants also provide culinary highlights. Variety is guaranteed from breakfast to dinner. Whet your appetite.

Restaurant Ecco St. Moritz
Fine dining, aroma cuisine, multi-award winning: so far, so Ecco. Executive Chef Rolf Fliegauf and his team have made the Ecco St. Moritz restaurant into one of the best gourmet restaurants in St. Moritz. But the menu isn’t the only marvel here, the location and service are also out of this world. The result: two Michelin stars and 18 Gault Millau points.

Ecco Private Dining
Some occasions require exclusivity. Whether it is a customer event with wow-effect, an extravagant company or family celebration, or simply an unforgettable and intimate moment for two.

In the Restaurant Ecco St. Moritz, guests can enjoy the aromatic cuisine of Executive Chef Rolf Fliegauf and his team in a very private atmosphere. Rolf Fliegauf will be happy to create your own menu according to your wishes.

Rolf Fliegauf
Praised by critics as one of the greatest chefs of his generation, once the youngest two-star chef in Europe and yet still completely down to earth, Rolf Fliegauf is the founder and Executive Chef of the Ecco restaurants in Ascona and St. Moritz.

His style is unique. He plays, combines and experiments with textures like a musician does with notes, yet the ingredients always retain their original flavour. His “purist flavour-based cuisine” has won him two Michelin stars. It’s simply magnificent!

The Ecco Story
The multi-award winning restaurant concept started life in Ascona. Executive Chef Rolf Fliegauf founded Ecco in the Giardino Ascona hotel and developed his own style. This “purist aroma cuisine”, where every ingredient retains its own flavour, soon made him the youngest two-star chef in Europe.

This was followed by the second Ecco restaurant in St. Moritz, where the entire team still spends the winter months. The climax: the swift arrival of two Michelin stars. GaultMillau also awarded 18 points. Both Ecco restaurants have their own signature with reference to the respective region, but always developing side-by-side. Ecco!

Restaurant Hide & Seek St. Moritz
Familiar yet surprising: the Hide & Seek restaurant in St. Moritz transforms local and seasonal cuisine into contemporary dishes with a modern flair. Sometimes simple, sometimes playful and sometimes inspired by Ayurvedic practices. Whether it’s for breakfast, a light lunch or a romantic dinner for two – look no further!

Bar Lounge
Lounge by day, bar by night: the airy Bar-Lounge with its open fireplace is a fantastic place to relax, read, write, eat, drink, celebrate, meet friends, gossip and dance. It all depends on what you make out of it.

You can satisfy your hunger here with a selection of dishes from the Hide & Seek kitchen and quench your thirst with classic or new drinks from our bar team. Live programme on selected evenings.

The Hide & Seek Story
Torn between its Swiss homeland and a longing for distant shores, the Giardino hotels have combined both in an innovative kitchen concept. The food at Hide & Seek restaurants is neither Swiss cuisine nor international blandness.

Depending on its location in Ticino or Engadine, each restaurant serves dishes that are inspired by the region and our food concepts arrive on your plate with a sense of international flair. Modern cuisine, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes that draw on Ayurvedic principles to offer health-conscious nutrition. Join us for a journey of the senses.

Diego Bolognesi
His name already is culinary – Diego Bolognesi – is Executive Chef of the restaurant Hide & Seek in the Giardino Ascona and the sister hotel Giardino Mountain in Champfèr in the Upper Engadine.

Diego Bolognesi began his professional career in 2010 in Novara at the restaurant Pascia di Invorio (1 Michelin star), from there he went on to Sardinia to the 5-star Hotel Sporting di Porto Rotondo and in 2012 to Scotland to the luxury hotel The Gleneagles Hotel.

In spring 2018, Diego Bolognesi finally moved to the Giardino Ascona. Since April 2022, Bolognesi has been in charge of the 20-strong kitchen team at the Hide & Seek restaurant in Ascona and St. Moritz, and he also creates the menus for the restaurant, room service and the pool and bar menu.

Stüva St. Moritz
Fancy a bit of good old-fashioned Swiss style? Stüva delivers a delightful dose of traditional Alpine hut charm. Wainscoting, wood panelling, stone floors and red and white fabrics combine to create a truly cosy and wonderfully folksy atmosphere.

Delicious local dishes including capuns, pizzoccheri and delicious pan-fried specialities are served up in the building’s historic former reception area. If you don’t eat here, you haven’t experienced the real Engadine.

THE SPA
The services are inspired by Ticino and the products are made from regional ingredients. The dipiù Spa at the Hotel Giardino Mountain is truly at one with nature. The name dipiù means “more” and that is exactly what you can expect.

Massages, beauty treatments, gyms, pools and saunas are all available. As too are Ayurveda, yoga and meditation. Everything you need to both look and feel wonderful. Services are also available to day guests.

Massages & Treatments
The dipiù Spa in St. Moritz offers more than just wellness. Release blockages or tight muscles through a professional massage. Enjoy the regenerative effect of Ticino’s nature during a facial. Or choose a holistic approach with Ayurvedic treatments. All services are also available to day guests.

A focus on Ayurveda
The Ayurveda programme at the Hotel Giardino Mountain is a therapeutic, alternative medicine health programme that provides a holistic sense of well-being.

The services include individual treatments as well as a range of Ayurveda retreats, which are effective for example against excessive stress, chronic back pain or digestive problems as well as acute or prolonged sleeping problems. Beginners and those keen to find out more can try out individual treatments.

Day Spa
For short getaways in St. Moritz: with the day pass to the dipiù Spa at the Hotel Giardino Mountain, there’s no need to be a hotel guest to enjoy a short relaxing break. Whether it’s summer or winter, spend a restorative day of wellness in the pool and sauna area of Switzerland’s largest dipiù Spa. One treatment, such as a massage, is included.

Spa Menu
Where the final mountains of the Swiss Alps meet the first lemon groves of Italy lie the origins of dipiù – a declaration of love of Ticino’s nature and its power. “di più” is an Italian phrase meaning “more”. Accordingly, the dipiù brand represents more innovation, more professionalism and more Mediterranean dolce vita.

Inspired by Ticino’s nature, the cosmetics line and signature treatments for the Giardino Hotels were developed by Daniela Frutiger in collaboration with highly qualified dermatologists and Ticino vintner Meinrad C. Perler from the Tenimento dell’Ör winery. In the following you will find our range of services as well as selected supplements of Aveda and QMS.

Winter breaks and ski holidays in St. Moritz
High mountains and deep valleys with sweeping views and space to clear your head: the Engadin is innately suited to sport, and offers the perfect terrain for all kinds of activity and exercise, for all abilities.

In and around this mountain valley, sports enthusiasts and holiday makers in search of activities will find an abundance of groomed trails and slopes in some of Switzerland’s most dramatic scenery.

The Giardino Mountain Hotel is nestled at the heart of this landscape. A sophisticated base camp, it has everything you need to ready yourself for adventures. Simply unbeatable.

The ski area around St. Moritz has a rich sporting history. The town became world famous when it hosted the Olympic Games and World Ski Championships. It doesn’t take much to host such events: just perfect snow and a breathtaking backdrop. And it has those in abundance.

Thanks to its altitude and modern snow-making systems, the area is known as one where you can reliably find snow. On the slopes, cross-country ski trails or by the lake – snow sports enthusiasts will find perfect conditions wherever they go. The Engadin is a sporting winter wonderland, and the Giardino Mountain sits right at the heart of it. The mountain is calling!

Are you travelling with the family? Then you will find all the relevant information for carefree holidays with the whole gang here! With us, all you have to do is pack a few things, leave your everyday life at home, and head to the mountains for holidays that really do live up to their name. Because, at Giardino Mountain, the whole family will find a renewed sense of energy.

Skiing and snowboarding
Who invented them? The Norwegians. Although some people in the Engadin are starting to have their doubts. The four large ski resorts of Corviglia/Piz Nair, Corvatsch, Diavolezza/Lagalb and Zuoz, together with five other smaller areas, offer winter sports enthusiasts a total of 88 fabulous slopes to explore.

Cross-country skiing
Once upon a time, there was something called cross-country skiing. Nowadays it’s called ‘skating’ or ‘Nordic cruising’. But nothing has really changed except the name: skiers use their own powerful movement to drive themselves forwards on narrow skis. And there are more than 230 kilometres of trails to discover in the Engadin winter wonderland.

But cross-country skiing is not for the faint-hearted: achieving 95% muscle activation, it is one of the most effective forms of exercise there is. The scenery along the twelve-kilometre-long route around Lakes Sils, Silvaplana and Champfer is particularly spectacular. And it’s practically on the Giardino Mountain’s doorstep – no queuing or lifts.

Heli-skiing
Pristine snow, icy silence and the incomparable feeling of being the first to make a mark – that’s heli-skiing. First, float over the majestic Alpine massif in the Mountain Flyers Airbus helicopter, then glide through deep, fresh snow on deserted ground. Both are an experience in and of themselves; together they are an unforgettable adrenaline rush. Have a go during heli-skiing weeks, or on request. Ready? Set, jump!

Winter holidays for families
Sometimes, just planning a holiday is enough to leave you feeling in even greater need of rest and relaxation. Which destinations are family-friendly? Which hotel has something for everyone? Are the activities appealing? Are there child-friendly restaurants?

With us, all you have to do is pack a few things, leave your everyday life at home, and head to the mountains for holidays that really do live up to their name. Because, at Giardino Mountain, the whole family will find a renewed sense of energy.

Discover the Alps together through exciting excursions, try out new sports, eat delicious healthy food, and enjoy plenty of space to let off steam. And while the little ones play in the Kids Club, the grown-ups can take a few deep breaths in the spa. Holidays that put a smile on every face.
