The Ambassador hotel in Zurich’s Seefeld district is part of the former Uto Castle, built in 1898 in neo-Baroque style.

It is located directly opposite the opera house and not far from the busy Sächseläutenplatz – and thus at the pulse of the action. Our hotel offers a refined, informal ambience and lived sustainability in line with the motto “Cause we care”.

Your stay at the Ambassador Luxury Hotel is supposed to be as convenient and care free as possible. We have compiled a list of some useful things to know below. If there is still something you would like to know, feel free to contact our reception at any time.

DELUXE ROOMS
Ideal combination of modern furnishings and classic comfort. Our most luxurious and spacious double room (35 sqm) featuring its own living room offers an ideal combination of modern amenities and traditional comfort.

SUPERIOR PLUS ROOMS
The room overlooks the artist’s entrance to the opera. Our luxurious double room (ca. 29 sqm). It features high ceilings and can be combined with Ambassador Superior to become a family room.

CLASSIC ROOMS
The Bijou rooms with flair. Our classic. Single room with a boasting an upscale business atmosphere (ca. 16sqm). Featuring some handy amenities that make it the ideal base for a short trip.

THE BREAKFAST
Feel free to enjoy our rich and seasonal Swiss Z’Morgen Buffet boasting regional products: fresh bread, seasonal marmelade, farm eggs, exquisite Swiss cheese or tingling Zurich Schaumwein.

You can also mix your personalised muesli with fresh fruits. The buffet is available at restaurant Opera of our partner hotel Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador.

Our breakfast buffet is only filled with regional and fair trade products. For instance yoghurt and cheese from natuerli Zuerich or coffee from Black & Blaze. Both initiatives support farmers and represent sustainable agriculture.

Breakfast is served from 06:15 to 10:00 in the restaurant Opera. If it’s fair weather also on our boulevard terrace. In our hotel Opera we offer breakfast until 12:00 on Saturdays and Sundays in order to give you the opportunity to sleep in.

RESTAURANT OPERA
When the caterpillar has grown up, it begins to pupate, after the time in the cocoon a beautiful unique butterfly hatches.  In the spirit of change, we are giving the Uto Castle a new face and due to a complete renovation of our house, we will not be back for you again until 2022!

MEET & GREET
We would like to invite you to stay for a while: our elegant lounge is for all not only guests of the hotel. Meet your friends for afternoon tea or enjoy a glass of champagne in anticipation of the opera. The calm setting, perfectly located is also quite suitable for small meetings and interviews.

ZURICH OLD TOWN WALKING TOUR

On a two-hour walk through the old town, we go searching for clues to the city´s past in its hidden alleyways and picturesque squares. Together, we uncover the secrets of Bahnhofstrasse, find out what a “procession axis” is, and visit a church with a minute-hand that jumps a record-breaking half meter every minute.

This popular tour is filled with numerous astonishing and amusing anecdotes and has plenty to offer both visitors and locals alike.
