Sitting discreetly back from the road, the Hotel Arlberg Lech. is perched in the heart of village life and, matchlessly, ski/in – ski/out opposite the main ski lifts that disappear up towards the mountaintops.

With boutiques, dining rooms and bars as well as the local ski school right on your doorstep, this is the elite location. The ski & boot room connects seamlessly to the town’s local ski and rental shop, providing you with unrivalled ease and access to world-class ski facilities. Hitting on the slopes was never simpler.

If walls could talk: ours are full of spectacular history and meaningful encounters, with sincere and welcoming hosts and their will to curate life‘s necessities and desires all at once.

Bespoke interiors, award-winning cuisine and an innovative spa are not the only reasons why guests keep coming back every year. The sentiment of returning to their home in the mountains and fulfilling a tradition is one Arlberg prides itself on.

Prepare for deep relaxation and ultimate pampering in the slow lane. Deft design and sumptuous interiors reflect the dramatic surrounding landscapes of mountains, awash with natural wood and Alpine granite.

Inviting for both a couple on a wellness break or a family with children, spacious and separate areas offer you peace and privacy to recharge and recuperate from life’s hectic demands.

To truly retreat is so much more than checking in and winding down. It requires character and comfort with unmistakable spirit. Call us old-fashioned, but we believe in the lores of hospitality and traditions; that is, taking care of our guests beyond some of today’s casual standards.

Our ethos harks back to our forebears in 1956, when grandparents Johann and Helga Schneider built a home where locals could meet and travelers were invited in together. Look out for bears in the atmospheric Jagdhof building.

For the creators of this long-lasting community through to the people that continue to breathe life into the locale today, the Arlberg is busting with life’s meaningful encounters. Whether they make you yodel in joy or breath more deeply in meditation than ever before, the place encourages you to connect with loved ones and new comrades alike.

Hotel Arlberg Lech is located at the center of the village and sprawls over a spacious alpine garden. The buildings are oriented towards the Omeshorn and south-side, offering hours of sunshine – be it from one of your own rooms and suites or in our newly remodeled garden, terrace and pool areas.

The Lech River, running between the main road and our property offers a natural acoustic barrier. Clearly distinguishable are also the nearby located ski lifts, bus connections and walking paths. An ideal location for a relaxed vacation no matter what time of the year to choose to visit us.

Each room is individually designed, equipped with a comfortable sofa-bed, both shower and bathtub, separate WC, walk-in closet and abundant Le Labo products – making it one of our fastest booked-out rooms.

JAGDHOF ROOM

Thanks to connecting doors, this room is perfect for families.

The spread includes fresh roasted coffee, a selection of teas, fresh fruits and juices, bread, milk and cheeses straight from the farm, homemade conserves and decadent à la carte options.

Almost all of our guests decide to book their room directly with half board. This includes the sumptuous breakfast buffet and a daily-changing 5-course evening menu served in our restaurant.

Only the finest and freshly sourced ingredients are served, led by the team of Chef Patrick Tober, who are also responsible for our fine dining restaurant and à-la-carte restaurant. If you want to visit one of our two à-la-carte restaurants, Die Stube or La Fenice, or dine out during your stay, you can unsubscribe from the evening menu by 12:00 noon.

We will then refund the booked surcharge for half-board as a credit on your room bill. Thus you can enjoy our complete culinary offer with the greatest possible flexibility and can always decide for what suits you best.

THE SUN TERRACE
One of the most beautiful sun terraces in the village and somewhere you can refuel on delectable Alpine-Mediterranean dishes and specialties by Chef Patrick Tober.

Dive into everything from fresh burrata and healthful salads, to Wiener Schnitzel or Käsepätzle. After a hike through the impressive mountains of Lech, you might want to take tea in the afternoon sun, nibbling on home-made cakes and fine desserts or simply a sandwich and a hot cocoa.

DIE STUBE
This is an ultra-special hideaway of tradition and extraordinary cosiness, perfect for an Alpine evening of indulgence and camaraderie. Staff bear charming smiles and don lederhosen, boasting decades-long experience with fondue, schnitzel, Austrian wines et al. The Stube is a dreamy spot for an Austrian specialty luncheon, or an unforgettable evening with one of its nine remarkable fondue creations.

Dine within warm, reclaimed wood-panelled surroundings, amongst hand-picked antiques and family heirlooms and photographs. Due to a small number of tables, reservations are strongly recommended. For preparation purposes, fondue orders must be placed before 8 p.m. on the day before the reservation. Ski boots, families and non hotel guests are all very welcome.

LA FENICE DINING ROOM
Unique to the town of Lech and led by executive chef Patrick Tober is our wonderful Italian fine dining room, with all the charm and familiarity of a traditional trattoria and elegance of a refined, award-winning kitchen.

Enjoy sublime regional classics with a touch of modern class. Dishes that awaken wanderlust and at the same time bring the postponed summer vacation closer to home.

A Chef’s Choice Menu consisting of 7 courses will be offered: a combination of regional ingredients and Italian recipes. Nonna’s kitchen with style. We call it bella cucina #eatdrinkitaliano.

The wine cellar with over 700 selected wines is located directly below the restaurant. Classics and rarities from Austria, as well as noble Italians and French vintages can be chosen personally on a tour through the cellar.

THE BAR
If these walls could talk; our classic, iconic cocktail bar is at the heart of Lech’s community, where history, heritage and family bonds merge with new friends and returning international guests every night, year after year.

A blissful den away from the busy town, the bar is a melting-pot for guests and locals alike who are looking for replenishment and chatter after a day on the slopes. During the day, skiers and hikers gather around to enjoy snacks and daily specials: the strudel alone is devilishly hard to resist!

A broad selection of drinks and cocktails are prepared by night, courtesy of our smart, longtime bar manager Wolfgang and team. Take an aperitif or a nightcap and raise a glass fireside.

THE WINE CELLAR
Our ethos throughout the residence is quality over quantity, and that includes our wine collection. Nonetheless, our exquisite selection doesn’t skimp, has grown over the years and today counts over 700 different vintages.

Wines that we personally adore and have matched with our cuisine, many from local producers that we have visited ourselves, and predominantly Austrian wines. However you will also find treasures from Italy, France as well as the new world.

We frequently arrange private wine tastings for our guests, introducing the elite Austrian wines that have become world-renowned. From the classic Grüner Veltliner to the outstanding reds of the Burgenland we like to show cellar visitors Austrian wine culture within a magnificent setting. An adjoining chef’s table is also available for private events.

SPA & WELLNESS
Sleek and inviting interior design is at the heart of the newly-remodelled spa, one of stunning architectural panache. Carefully designed wellness formulas through light, colour and material, make up the sophisticated, standout Arlberg Spa – the finest in Lech.

Future-forward healing devices such as hydrotherapy showers, heated pools embedded in nature, stylish sauna and steam facilities as well as myriad relaxation rooms, make the spa deserving of the recent German Design Award.

Conceptually, our spa is matchless, with expansive mountainside view and bespoke natural materials like breathable limestone plaster and energizing volcanic clays, semi-precious stones, Carrara marble and ultramarine ash; all of which actively promote wellness whilst evoking the stunning surrounding nature.

We chose Vals quartzite stone, which has been quarried in Vals (170km away) and used in local infrastructure for centuries. It has become one of the most sought after construction materials around the world, championed by renowned architects like Peter Marino, Marc Newson, Philippe Starck, Peter Zumthor, Norman Foster and Kengo Kuma.

SWIMMING
A heated stainless-steel pool submerged within our lush gardens offers panoramic views of the Omeshorn and surrounding Alpine mountainscape.Swim lengths at leisure and use the whirlpool jets for back and shoulders tired from the slopes. Elemental design and subterranean holistic appeal can also be sought at our indoor sports pool. All open to adults and children alike.

THE OUTDOOR POOL
Unveiled last year, our outdoor pool allows guests to experience the Arlberg mountain scenery with unrivalled views. Positioned within one of the central Lech’s most exclusive private grounds, swimmers and baskers alike enjoy heated waters up to 31°C, plus hydro-jets for après-ski or or post-hike relief. The elegant 14x6m stainless-steel swimming pool is open to all.

THE INDOOR POOL
Created out of precious mountain granite, the 11 meter-long sports pool is soaked with light from floor to ceiling windows that face the lush surrounding mountain range. Relax on loungers or indulge in one-of-a-kind hydrotherapy technologies of the Arlberg Spa’s steam/sauna rooms and showers.

The pool is available to both adults and children. Climate-regulating lime plaster on the spa walls promotes a natural feel to the surface, as well as boasting numerous mineral and altogether health-benefiting properties.

THE SAUNAS
The sprawling yet intimate Arlberg Spa has a variety of steam rooms, saunas, experience showers and hot/cold plunge pools. Fortifying Kneipp applications amplify circulation and stimulate metabolism. There are two steam rooms, two bio-saunas (60°C with humidity), a Finnish sauna, an infrared cabin, cold plunge pool and a ladies-only area.

From snow to sauna: after an intensive day of skiing or a hike through the mountains, the best way to relax is in one of our saunas or steam baths. Ancient traditions of sweat bathing and Kneipp techniques meet modern wellness science’s confirmation that they work magic on the body and soul.

Elevated temperatures relieve tension, and alternating temperatures kickstart full body circulation giving blood vessels, the immune system and overall sleep quality a remarkable boost.

Inside there is a bio sauna (60 ° C with increased humidity) and aroma bath, a Finnish sauna, steam bath and an infrared cabin. An ice fountain and access to the outside whirlpool allows “kneipping” – and a cool, fresh breather. A sauna post-massage is also recommended to deepen muscle relaxation. Adjacent there are hydrotherapy showers and a spacious relaxation room. Open to ages 16 and up.

FAMILY SPA
A separate area for families with children and from 5:00 p.m. only available to women is further accessible in addition to the main spa area. Guests will find a central Sanarium, with mild but equally effective 60 ° C and increased air humidity as well as infused herbal aromas, a steam bath with salt-therapy, unique massage showers and relaxation loungers. A private retreat that will restore body and soul.

RELAXATION ROOM
Rest, read, meditate, allow the mind to wander. Choose from four rooms that support different states of rest, with 14 beds lit by copper-leaf coated lamps and adjustable light levels. Heritage meets luxury with functional yet sumptuous spa furnishings.

Choose from a fireplace-heated stube, a quiet relaxation room and pool loungers as well as complimentary hot and cold refreshments to rehydrate post-sauna. Natural light trickles to these subterranean depths via high-design glass courtyards.

HYDROTHERAPY
The only place in the world to seek every Dornbracht shower under one roof. In collaboration with well-known experts from Kneipp therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and research into well-being, our innovative water technologies create memorable, one-of-a-kind spa experiences with chroma and aromatherapy properties.

Offering nourishing and replenishing alternatives to hands-on massage, the Dornbracht showers include a Horizontal Shower, Sensory Sky, Acquamoon, Comfort Shower, Foot Bath & Leg Shower.

No time underwater is the same. Gentle pitter pattering, a powerful cascade, or the warming/bracing clutch of different streams of water: just some of the ways in which Earth’s most nourishing element takes shape and effect.

In collaboration with Dornbracht, the brand new experience showers at the Arlberg Spa create multi-sensory water experiences that can be felt on myriad levels.

Play with temperature, pressure, light and even scents, recharging the element with unexpected effects and moods and playing a vital role in holistic health philosophies, whether Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) or Kneipp therapy.

HORIZONTAL SHOWER
Experience a radical lie-down shower. As you lay reclined, this high-tech but easy-to-use design evokes a new kind of relaxation, emphasizing the release of tension through six individually-controlled water bars that hover over the reclining area. Stress disappears with the flow of water, leaving your body and mind noticeably fortified.

AQUAMOON
A regenerative soul-shower. Seamlessly integrated into the ceiling, a water dome wraps your body in a protective cocoon and its almighty cascade. Inside, gentle, almost weightless drops fall onto you like a natural phenomenon.

SENSORY SKY
An assortment of rain, fog, lights and even scent combinations create unique choreographies reflective of weather phenomena and nature’s moods. The towering rain sky brings the nature’s exquisite drama into the Arlberg Spa.

The Sensory Sky offers horizontal water as well as high-pressure water from above, with additional options to indulge in chroma therapy and aromatherapy for an ultra-immersive experiences.

COMFORT SHOWER
The seated shower has been reimagined and revamped to yield sensory relief for the back, neck and shoulder pressure points.  An oversized rain shower commands various flow modes and their effect on points in need of attention.

Encased in warm water, the shower shields you from the outside world, giving you the security, privacy and peace whilst the water jets gently revive your tired corporeal self.

EVENTS & PARTIES
Surprise your loved ones with an unforgettable birthday party at the hotel. Either for an overnight stay, birthday weekend and special dinner party – nothing is more fulfilling then giving away long-lasting memories.

Of course, this also applies to your own celebration, which we are happy to assist in planning. Our beautiful gift vouchers are also lovely give-aways for any occasion and can be delivered directly to your inbox.

MEETINGS
It was never our intention to become a traditional meeting hotel. But that might be the reason why so many entrepreneurs and companies appreciate the hotel’s relaxed and casual atmosphere.

When organizing special company celebrations, team outings and team building activities, the independence of rigid office space and a detachment from the daily grind are of the utmost importance.

But even for classic PowerPoint presentations and workshops we offer a spacious conference room with natural light, beamer, laptop connectivity, sound system and flip charts. However, don’t be surprised if coffee breaks are set-up in the charming hunting parlor next to it. Good thing, that we are not a classic meeting hotel after all.

WEDDINGS
We have to admit – weddings are one of our favorite things in the world. Perhaps because three family generations have already tied the knot within our walls and many couples, guests and friends we had the privilege to host.

A mountain wedding is something magical and it gives us great joy to help couples organize their very special celebration. There is no rulebook or special formula that we consider the answer to “a perfect wedding”.

But with our expertise, we can give you a good direction according to your expectations, needs and budgets. From the right choice of menus to the ideal wedding photographer. But first things first, we would like to sit down with you personally and listen to your story.

CAR RALLIES IN LECH
“If you are looking for my husband, he´s probably in the garage”. Words you’ll often hear from Christiane Schneider, co-owner and wife to Hannes Schneider. It’s true however – classic cars have always been part of our DNA. Our great grandfather Leopold Schneider was the first one in Lech to own a car. This passion might have been passed on to the generations that followed.

Today, we are not only active members of various classic car associations and co-organizers of the Arlberg Classic Car Rally, we also designed special rally packages exclusively for our guests. This does not mean that you have to own an actual classic.

Starting from a group of five participants, we take care of the route and road books, lunch stops and evening programs. Think of it as your very special birthday celebration, corporate and client event or special surprise for a fellow car enthusiast.

HELISKIING IN LECH
As the “cradle of Alpine skiing”, Lech-Zürs has long been one of the world’s most established ski areas in the world. Not only did the invention of the “Wedeln” and todays modern ski technique as well as four Olympic champions from Lech contribute to this.

Now, Lech-Zürs is particularly known for its high-end skiing infrastructure, professional teaching by highly-trained instructors, extensive and well-groomed pistes and a great variety of terrain for every level. With the new connection to St. Anton, it now forms one of the biggest ski areas in Austria.

If this leaves you a bit unimpressed, as the only place in Austria, Lech Zürs offers packages for this memorable experience.

There are two beautiful peaks to choose from: The “Mehlsack” summit is ideal for experienced skiers, the “Schneetäli-Orgelscharte” is recommended for skiers with medium skills – especially charming in spring with so-called Firn. Heliskiing packages are available for up to four people including ski guides and can be booked directly through us.

EXPERIENCE THE YURT
No igloo and no spaceship either. What is right on our doorstep is a yurt. The kyrgisian nomad tent enriches Lech’s village life with what is probably the coolest location for drinks and cozy fireplace hours as well as first-class beats.

Together with Zayad Shah, who brought the concept of the Popup Bar in Lech am Arlberg from Gstaad, we wanted to offer an alternative to the usual après-ski locations.

Selected drinks and relaxed, soulful music create a relaxed atmosphere in the tent and Austro-pop, German Schlager or schnapps are (luckily) strictly forbidden. There are ten seats in the yurt. A crackling wood stove creates a cozy atmosphere and warmth.

“The menu is small, there are a few long drinks, but no typical cocktails. We have two Japanese gins, champagne, good wine, a tequila, mezcal and coffee ”. From his time in Switzerland, Shah knows what it takes. The yurt can also be rented as a private event space. Opening hours: Tuesday – Sunday from 2 – 11 p.m.

ENJOY SKI-IN SKI-OUT
Our ski and boot room has been extensively renovated and offers guests unparalleled comfort when it comes to getting you onto and off the slopes as swiftly as possible.

You will certainly enjoy your private, heated and ventilated ski locker but also the underground access to the premier ski services of Strolz. In other words: you are slipping from your plush house slippers directly into your warm boots as well as renting all your gear without leaving the hotel.

GOING OFF PISTE
People who like alternative winter sports will find ideal conditions and lots on offer in Lech-Zürs am Arlberg. There are fantastic routes for cross-country skiers and snowshoers. In addition, visitors can enjoy romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides through the snow-covered landscape and curling.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
With its extremely well prepared cross-country ski trails and skating routes, the region offers cross-country skiers everything their hearts desire.

Guaranteed snow and 27 km of cross-country trails will delight both casual and the professional while being right from the hotels door step. The cross-country trails can be found amidst the fascinating Alpine mountain landscape and are free to use during the whole season.

WINTER HIKING
The over 40 km long network of winter trails around Lech Zürs takes you through a unique winter landscape. With the permanent presence of clear, fresh winter air, crisp snow and a breath-taking view over the surrounding peaks.

Not only the sun terraces, huts and “Alps”, but also numerous staging points invite you to take a well earned rest. Experience the stillness and enjoy nature in her primordial form.

TOBOGGANING
A 1.2 km toboggan run winds its way through the forest of Lech and has several tight twists in store. The high-speed descent just before the last station is guaranteed to cause adrenaline levels to really skyrocket.

Tremendous fun which can be repeated quickly as the Oberlech mountain gondola takes adventurous souls back to the start within four minutes. We have several bobs available for our guests.

PICNIC IN THE MOUNTAINS
Sometimes it’s the simple things in life, that are most valuable. Surrounded by dramatic mountain views and immersed in the lush grennery at the mountain tops, why not take the family and your loved ones for an intimate picnic at one of Lech’s designated fire places.

We will guide you to the most romantic spots and prepare a basket full of local declicacies. Prepared with marinated meats and sausages, mixed vegetables and homemade dips, breads and spreads as well as drinks and wines. Blankets and throws will keep you warm for you to enjoy the evening to the fullest.

FALLING FOR AUTUMN IN LECH
For the second time, we will extend our summer season through September and October 2021 and invite you to explore one of the most beautiful landscapes in Austria beyond our famous winters. So far only revealed to locals and day-trip visitors, we are certain that guests will instantly fall in love with not only the numerous hiking trails and daily discoveries.

After significant renovations last year, our extensive spa area now includes even more space to relax. Thus, finding an excuse to spend the entire day, extended spa weekend or break from work at our resort has never been easier.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN
Those traveling to Lech with children needn’t worry about obstacles; we are happy to assist. We’ll find the right rooms for your family, hire a babysitter or enrol your kids in the correct class at the ski school.

Thanks to decades of experience, our team have got everything covered and in check. Spacious and well-equipped room and suite layouts with separate lounges, connecting doors and extra bedding ensure that parents have the right amount of privacy and confidence to retreat and relax at Arlberg.

During the winter season, our in-house kids club with professional child care from 3pm – 9pm is included in the room rate. Delightfully, our younger guests often form life-long friendships with other kids at the hotel – we call it the Arlberg family.

The summit as the objective of a hike is only of importance to children once they have reached it. Along the way, the trail itself has plenty of exciting surprises in store: Animal tracks can be seen in the soft soil, marmots and chamois that can be observed if you keep very still, there are stones in different colours and shapes, and even petrified squid can be discovered along the Rüfikopf mountain’s geological trails.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN ART
Stopping to look up and gaze at the sky always offers a different perspective. Imagine a place built entirely for this purpose; Lech’s very own art installation-meets-observatory, on the doorstep of Arlberg.

If you’re wondering where to find the magic, look no further than the small hill above Oberlech.in the high alpine landscape of Lech, world-famous American artist James Turrell structured a curious lightroom where sky and earth appear to encounter one another in constantly changing illusions as the sun rises and sets.

Turrell selected the location “Tannegg”, 1780 meters above sea level reached by a short hiking trail above the mountain station of the Schlosskopfbahn all year round.

Once inside the “sensing room,” visitors find themselves in a space captivated in light that cycles through saturated purples, pinks, and blues. At the top of the dome, a window 30 feet in diameter looks out onto sky.

Glancing back through the entrance, the precisely positioned doorway creates a frame for the nearby peak Discover this incredible art piece by yourself or join one of the guided tours during sunrise and sunset.

LOOK FOR A SPECIAL GIFT
The in-house boutique offers a fine selection of gifts, souvenirs, home and fashion accessories. Browsing to your heart’s content is allowed and maybe you will discover a little something to take home the memories of your holidays in Lech.

Let it sparkle in the adjoining jewelry store. High-quality jewelry and gemstones for those special moments or your special someone. Hostess Christiane Schneider advises you personally and will find the matching piece of jewelry or gift for you.

CONQUER THE WEISSE RING
The most legendary ski track in the Alps and at the same time one of the longest ski races in the world has been connecting the resorts of Lech, Zürs and Zug for over 60 years and is known for breath-taking pistes.

Altogether, the Weisse Ring comprises approximately 22 km and approx. 5,500 vertical meters as well as a sightseeing tour on easy and medium-difficult ski runs with viewing platforms on Rüfikopf and Madloch.

For Lech newcomers it is the ideal route to get to know the entire area better. While an official race with registration takes place in January, you can also ski the slopes the entire winter at your own pace. Luckily, the start and therefore the finish are right in front the hotel.
