ART & DESIGN
Those staying at Bellevue Syrene cannot fail to recognise the traces of its illustrious past in the Hotel’s rooms. The charm of the Villa overlooking the Gulf of Naples has always surprised and charmed its guests.

A luxurious holiday villa for the Roman emperors, an oasis of peace for the European sovereigns such as Ludwig II of Bavaria, Vittorio Emanuele III, Paul of Greece, Empress Eugénie de Montijo, a holiday rich of inspiration for artists and intellectuals of the likes of Turgenev, Jorge, Marguerite Yourcenar.

Being in love with this residence and passionate about Roman history, the English collector Lord William Waldorf Astor decided to create, at the beginning of the 20th century, in some rooms an almost perfect reproduction of Pompeii’s House of the Vettii, the current Villa Pompeiana of Bellevue Syrene.

Today the two rooms with the charming terrace overlooking the sea of the Land of Mermaids cheer the guests’ summer breakfasts and are the romantic and evocative location that the hotel reserves for wedding banquets.

Not a revival of the imperial splendour but an actual museum house, in which findings from the Roman period along with contemporary works by talented local artists, such as the Neapolitan painter Gennaro Sardella, the sculptures and designers Riccardo Dalisi and the artist from Avellino Paolo Sandulli all harmoniously coexist, exalting each other.

LORD ASTOR SUITE
An elegant treasure chest where absolute white highlights some of the most beautiful pieces from the Bellevue Syrene collection.

The Lord Astor suite represents the perfect synthesis of the souls of Bellevue Syrene. Fragments of the past life of the great imperial villa emerge here, which perfectly blend with more modern garnish and furniture.

In perfect continuity given by the taste for nice and refined things as well as the love for a sweet and welcoming land. The 60 square meters full of light, which makes every detail stand out, also include a whirlpool bath for two, and open up on a 30 square meter terrace from which you can admire the charming view of the Gulf of Naples after a relaxing bath in the outside Jacuzzi.

POMPEIANA SUITE
The Pompeii suite, 60 square meters, will give guests the sensation of living in the splendid atmosphere of the Imperial age. The Pompeian style frescos, the king size bed, the large bathroom with hydro-massage and, most of all, the most precious jewel we have to offer: the spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples, which you can enjoy with who you love from a balcony with sea view.

THE CLUB LOUNGE
Every moment is perfect of a tasty treat. We like to offer an exclusive complimentary service which allows having a snack before lunch or dinner, in those moments during the day in which we crave for something sweet or salted without spoiling our appetite for the main meal.

Morning people love to have breakfast early and sometimes crave for a sweet snack midmorning; people who like to sleep in aren’t always on time for breakfast… In either case, at the Lounge Club there is always a table set with croissants, pastry, cakes, water, juices and drinks.

For those who enjoy a small snack before lunch and for those who prefer not to eat munch until dinner, at the Club Lounge a light meal is always ready: pasta or rice salad, mozzarella cheese cherries, tomatoes, cold cut meats, cheese, olives to go with a nice glass of wine or Prosecco.

At the Club Lounge cream cakes, pies, plum cakes, Caprese cake, beverages and soft drinks become a pleasant break between lunch and dinner.

The aperitif is always one of the most pleasant moments of the day. At the Club Lounge the tasty aperitif consists of canapés, olives, cold cut meats and cheeses, soft drinks, Prosecco, wine and also gin, Campari, aperol, whiskey, vodka and Bacardi.

THE CHEF – IVAN RUOCCO
“The chance of doing a number of different experiences has been very important for my job, because I had the chance to try out all the aspects of cookery, from starters to pastry”. I graduated at a catering institute and I obtained a Commis degree.

I started very early to work across Europe to learn about the most up-to-date and innovative instruments and techniques to bring back to Italy with me, to give a fresh and modern touch to our traditional dishes.

THE TERRACES & THE HALL
The splendid panoramic terraces which houses the restaurant La Pergola, perfect for hot summer days. The Mimmo Jodice room, decorated with some of the pictures of the great Neapolitan photographer, completes the hotel’s offering to find an ideal location which will make your most important moments unforgettable.

THE BREAKFAST

THE BAR
