Dark wenge wood and valuable silk fabrics complemented with stylish accessories convey the feeling as if you have arrived at home. Smart luxury, modern design and elegant colour nuances create an atmosphere of flattering warmth.

Large windows extending down to the floor and doors allow lots of light into the rooms and suites. The purist bathrooms are wellness oases which are equipped with underfloor heating, rain shower heads and products from the exclusive French label Hèrmes.

THE HISTORY
In the course of time Burg Schwarzenstein, “occupy the apple tree crest on the way to Stephanshausen”, as the land surveyors wrote in 1879 in the Stockbuch of Johannisberg. Three years earlier, in 1876, the Mumm von Schwarzenstein Family had a romantic castle reminiscent of medieval architecture converted into a summer residence by the architect F. Schädel.

The picturesque structure in a dreamlike location on the heights of the Rheingau, but without social or family life, changed in 1958 with the Sale of the Mumm winery to the Oetker family, including the ownership of the castle.

The Hamburg architect Professor Caesar Pinnau, fascinated by the constructional fragment of the castle, designed in the interior of the castle a chic Restaurant to taste Mumm’s wines, accompanied by selected dishes.

Since then the castle was renovated in style and elaborately and turned it into a woderful restaurant and hotel complex. The Hotel Burg Schwarzenstein has been a member of the international association “Relais & Chateaux” since 2007. Today whole complex is owned by the Family Foundation Burg Schwarzenstein.

ROOMS & SUITES
The 40 rooms in the Park Residence create an atmosphere of cultivated elegance for even the most discerning of guests. Dark wenge wood and simple elegance combined with stylish accessories make guests feel like they’ve come home. The bathrooms are places for the body and soul to relax, with underfloor heating, rain shower systems and Hermès accessories.

PANORAMA SUITE
The Panorama Suite has one wall made entirely of windows, allowing a sweeping view of the entire Rhine plain. The style is subtle, personal and elegant. Guests have a wonderful view down to the Rheingau area from the generous wooden terrace stretching all the way around the suite.

TOWER SUITE
Enjoy your stylish and romantic stay in our spacious, light-flooded tower suite. The furnishings in dark wenge wood complement each other in stylish harmony with warm cream tones. From the unique roof terrace you enjoy a breathtaking view over the vineyards and the Rhine valley.

JUNIOR SUITE
Our generous Junior Suite feature stylish luxury, modern design and elegant colours. Bathrooms partially decorated with glass fittings and full-height windows and doors fill the rooms with sunlight and open out onto the balconies and terraces outside.

DOUBLE BEDROOM
The rooms in the Park Residence are completely felicitous and very elegantly furnished. An absolute highlight is the free minibar which is included in the room price.

TOWER ROOM
Our guests in the romantic Tower Room can rest their heads under a fine silk canopy. An extraordinary detail is the historic castle tower which has been exposed and masterly integrated into the interior. Warm cream tones and dark wenge wood complement each other in perfect harmony.

CASTLE RESTAURANT
An ambience of romantic elegance is offered by the Burgrestaurant, which is situated in the historical castle. Rheingau joy of living and the best from the kitchen and the cellar hold out the promise of regional culinary delights.

The ingredients originate almost exclusively from regional producers, the Rieslings from wine grower friends from the Rheingau. An absolute dream during the warm season – the historical castle terrace entwined with vines.

RESTAURANT MÜLLERS AUF DER BURG
MÜLLERS auf der Burg is one of Rheingau´s most talked about and stylish restaurants. The perfect place for a casual dinner with friends, meet business associates or enjoy a romantic rendezvous.

The Brasserie is located in our light-filled pavillon. It combines a cosmopolitan design, a high level of service, a laid-back ambience and last but not least the breathtaking view overlooking the vineyards.

The dishes are creative, vivacious, fresh and diverse. Lobster Thermidor, Oysters, Filet Rossini or our world-famous German Curry Wurst Berlin Style – the choice is yours. The wine list is also an absolute highlight and features big names as well as smaller winemakers.

MÜLLERS SALON was designed for an informal and undisturbed atmosphere with family or business partners. The new Private Dining Room is available for business meetings and family occasions in elegant surroundings for up to 20 people.

The gigantic view over the Rhine Valley and the exclusive atmosphere of the open and light-flooded room, which is decorated in noble shades of grey, can be used for smaller private or business events as well as for meetings or events for up to 35 persons.

WEDDINGS
Our bridal couples will be supported from the first moment by our professional wedding planners, who will advise you with great intuition for your individual wishes. Would you like to walk to the altar while listening to the sounds of a gospel choir, or arrive in a romantic carriage? Would you like a wedding in the park under our redwood tree?

Whatever your dream may look like, we will take care of all the important details – and you! So do not rack your brain about place cards, wedding cakes, a carriage or the suitable menu. You should preferably break something porcelain at the wedding-eve party and leave everything else to us.

Your event deserves an appropriate frame. Whether for meetings, seminars or presentations, our 5 meeting rooms are equipped with the latest audio visual equipment. The light-filled rooms can be darkened by pressing a button and open up to the adjacent terraces thanks to floor to ceiling doors.
