We have revitalised the traditional hotel concept by creating spaces centred around sustainable and simple design, where quality, attention to detail, and cultural programming are key aspects of our brand.
Our hotel is inspired by an affinity for the humble to create a space that enriches, inspires, and blurs the boundaries between home and hotel. Casa Bonay has thrived by prioritising collaboration with local creatives, chefs, gardeners, industrial designers, and artists.
We believe this collaborative approach brings more fun to our day-to-day and has helped us cultivate an authentic concept that offers a strong sense of community and a relaxed atmosphere that makes travellers and locals feel right at home.
Rooms & Suites
We renovated this beautiful house from 1869 in the center of Barcelona preserving all of the antique, hydraulic-tile floors, ceilings, and sliding doors, added our favourite lighting by Barcelona-based designers Santa & Cole, bathroom products from Malin+Goetz, packed our minibars with our favourite whims, and designed our very own furniture together with local furniture designers AOO to make it into our dream hotel.
Oh, and we’ve included yoga mats, streaming movies from MUBI, and free Wi-Fi in your room, among other things, to make your stay unforgettable. And… If you are still missing anything, just ask our front desk.
Courtyard Large Terrace (226 sqft)
These five exclusive rooms feature private terraces with outdoor showers, hammocks, and direct sunlight in the heart of Barcelona. Located on the main floor, they have high ceilings and original, restored mosaic floors.

These rooms, with sweeping views of the street life on the Gran Via of Barcelona, preserve their tall ceilings and original mosaic floors. The top-level rooms have terracotta flooring. All rooms include a sofa bed to accommodate a third person, turning them into family rooms.

Bodega Bonay
Bodega Bonay is a temple of natural wine and quality produce. Along with our Sommelier, we spent months looking for hidden treasures around the world and came across so many that we have decided to transform our restaurant into a Bodega.
Giacomo Hassan, our Chef, has transformed our food offering in order to complement our wines and support our closest producers – updating our entire menu based on products that we could find in our local neighbourhood of Eixample and wider Barcelona.
So now you know where you have to go for a really good glass of wine and something delicious and local to eat once you leave work.
Libertine
Libertine is everything we were looking for but couldn’t find in our city. A place where you can come and grab a cup of coffee, work peacefully, enjoy a comfort food lunch, go on a date or enjoy a dinner with a cocktail. Evenings see Libertine transform into a cocktail with an extensive list of tipples from craft beers, natural wines and cocktails.
Weekends; Thursday to Sunday, attracts some of the city´s best music talent where local music heroes play vinyl amongst friends, good & cocktails. Libertine also offers rooms service from midday to midnight.
Chiringuito
Yup! This beach/jungle shack rooftop restaurant offers seasonal summer barbecue and tapas, a natural wine selection, and your favourite cocktails.
Satan’s Coffee Corner
The second location of Satan’s Coffee Corner at Casa Bonay. We included this spot because we wanted to offer a quick and perfect place for you to grab your daily morning coffee where you can also find your full dream breakfast, fresh baked goods, cold-pressed juices, and beautiful seasonal breakfasts built from whatever ingredients are fresh and available at the market that morning.
Satan’s Coffee Corner also serves our daily breakfast in our Libertine lounge for all our guests and neighbors.
Rooftop
This beach shack rooftop-restaurant offers crisp summer salads, delicious local tapas and our famous BBQ where you can find fresh octopus, tender beef skewers and roasted aubergine amongst other dishes. All washed down with a hand-picked natural wine selection, and your favourite cocktails.
Our exclusive rooftop space for hotel guests features sun-beds, an orchard, outdoor showers for cooling off, city views, and food service. Fancy your lunch upstairs? We will bring it up to you from our Libertine restaurant. Hours: From 8AM–9AM – all year around
