Galanias Hotel & Retreat stands where nature and the sea have created a scenery of uncontaminated beauty. The Hotel is structured on different levels sloping towards the garden and with a scenic swimming pool surrounded by olive trees, palms and Mediterranean plants.

The design is in typical Sardinian style, traditional and refined, with furniture and upholstery fabrics carefully made by the skilled hands of the artisans of Ogliastra. The Restaurant offers, in addition to the national cuisine, flavorful traditional dishes made with local products.

SUPERIOR ROOM
Located in the main building, above the Bar, the Restaurant and the Swimming pool area, the 10 rooms of the main building share a panoramic terrace to admire the wonderful view of the sea and the ancient tower.

The garden view rooms, built in 2020, are furnished in a modern style combining typical Sardinian materials: stone, iron, wood and canvas. Each of these 4 rooms, all created in different styles, includes stone bathrooms in natural colours and large showers.

Each room has a private entrance, private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, special complimentary toiletries, centralized air conditioning, flat-screen TV, minibar, kettle and safe. They can host up to 3 people (2 adults + 1 child or 2 adults + 1 baby).

GARDEN ROOM
Located in the garden, among the green and fragrant Mediterranean scrub, the Garden rooms are ideal for those who love to carve out a private space while enjoying a peaceful environment. They are distributed in two raws about 30/150 meters from the main building, with a convenient private outdoor car park in the surrounding areas.

THE RESTAURANT
The Galanias Restaurant is located in the main building of the hotel. It has a large indoor dining room and an outdoor terrace overlooking the pool. The dishes on offer are the result of the perfect combination of sea and mountains. The cuisine is delicate and innovative, with an unconventional taste that surprises and satisfies the most refined palates.

The goodness and authenticity of local products are enhanced by the creativity of our chef. The authentic flavours of Sardinia can be rediscovered every day in our dishes, made with zero kilometre products and accompanied by the excellence of our fine wines.

The menus at Galanias Hotel&Retreat are based on the choice of ingredients produced in the Ogliastra region. The remote location of this part of Sardinia preserves a rich tradition of dishes, which at the Galanias restaurant are offered both in their original recipes and with slight and unique reinterpretations.

These include Culurgionis d’Ogliastra IGP, typical breads such as Pistoccu and Pittau and strong wines such as Cannonau. There is also typical Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, the freshest vegetables, meat and fish always treated with the care that goes into quality raw materials.

The Galanias Restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and at breakfast, lunch, or dinner you can therefore enjoy a pleasant and relaxing environment, thanks also to the natural greenery and the fresh breeze coming from the sea.

PRIVATE EVENTS & PARTIES
The Galanias Restaurant is the ideal venue for small private parties and poolside dinners with friends. The hotel is also happy to accommodate external guests who wish to spend a few hours by the pool, taking advantage of a breakfast or a light lunch at the restaurant between a swim and a relaxing moment in the whirlpool area.

THE SWIMMING POOLS
Galanias Hotel & Retreat’s panoramic swimming pools are located on the terrace of the main building, surrounded by olive trees, palm trees and Mediterranean plants. One is equipped with a whirlpool and the other is designed in a naturalistic style, with a small beach.

The relaxation area, with sun loungers and tables, is shaded by wooden gazebos and white curtains. The swimming pools are the ideal place to spend pleasant moments of relaxation and well-being while enjoying a unique panorama.

THE BEACH
The nearest beach to Galanias Hotel&Retreat is Torre di Barì, a ten-minute walk from the hotel. Torre di Barì beach is divided in two parts separated by the homonymous 16th century tower standing on the promontory.

It is bordered by a pine forest and has long stretches of beach where fine white sand, coarse golden grains and pebbles polished by the sea water alternate. A place to relax, take long walks on the beach, tone your legs walking in the water or snorkelling in the rocky seabed surrounding the promontory of the Torre di Barì.

Due to its location on the central-eastern coast, Torre di Barì beach is exposed to south-east and north-east winds (so called Scirocco and Grecale) and colourful surfers can often be seen frolicking in the bay. There is a diving centre and bars.

A curious story. The Torre di Barì beach is divided into two parts called ‘of the men’ and ‘of the women’. Anyone staying at Galanias Hotel&Retreat will hear these names, which derive from the simple fact that in the 1950s the beach was frequented separately by men and women.

YOGA & WELLNESS
Among Galanias Hotel&Retreat values, the well-being of body and mind come first. Guests will find spaces designed for yoga, meditation, exercise, dance. The balance between body and mind is at the basis of the very concept of well-being and we care about our guest’s happiness.

Three venues called Yoga shala 1, Yoga shala 2 and Terrace, respectively 130sqm, 80sqm and 30sqm, offer spaces set up to accommodate groups of people interested in practising yoga and other disciplines.

The venues are all well ventilated to promote healthy breathing and the activities are offered by professionals who can calibrate the exercises according to the level of their students.
