Johan & Isabelle met in 1991 and dreamt of the same challenge: running their own business. Seeing the building, they immediately fell in love with this magnificent house. The feeling was right, this would be their future…lovingly restoring the building to its former glory and transforming it into a charming boutique hotel.
LOUIS DELACENSERIE
The earliest written mention of the house that was found, dates back to 1390. The building was designed in 1869 by Louis Delacenserie. The former owner ordered the construction of the new house in 1869.
The property had a walled garden in the new Jacob van Ooststraat, fully fenced with two small entry gates. The decoration above the door was built on it in 1922 as ordered by Crédit Général Liégeois to enlarge their bank branch, established in the Niklaas Desparsstraat 11.
CLASSIC ROOM
Our Classic rooms are compact and elegantly decorated in the classic Louis XVI style topped with modern facilities and high-quality amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The marble bathroom is equipped with single sink, showerbath (2in1) and toilet. No extra bed possibilities in this room, only a baby cot.
DELUXE ROOM
Our spacious Deluxe rooms are elegantly decorated in the classic Louis XVI style topped with modern facilities and high-quality amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
The comfortable sitting area makes it ideal for guests who enjoy the extra space. The marble bathroom is equipped with bath or shower and toilet. Extra bed for children up to 18 years is possible on request (charges apply).
JUNIOR SUITE LOFT
Our Junior Suites with view over the must-see Belfry tower and Bruges’ skyline are spacious and have a comfortable sitting area. The original wooden beams reflect the natural structure of the historical building. Located on the top floor with easy access to our cozy rooftop terrace.

FIRST WORLD WAR
Make your acquaintance with all the most important places on the front of the First World War. With an experienced guide you will explore the Trench of Death in Diksmuide and other trench sites, such as Hill 60 in Zillebeke.
The bus trip will also take you to the Canadian Memorial in Langemark-Poelkapelle, the impressive cemeteries in Boezinge, Tyne Cot Cemetery in Passendale and the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 in Zonnebeke.
In Ieper (Ypres) you will visit the In Flanders Fields Museum and can discover the rest of this historic front town at your own pace. You will end the day by attending the Last Post ceremony.
