The La Tambra Hotel, located in Corvara in Alta Badia and situated on the green slopes of Sassongher Mountain, welcomes its guests with courtesy and professionalism, a comfortable and bright atmosphere, traditional Ladin cuisine, and the majestic scenery of the Dolomites.

The Dalponte family manages this charming hotel in Corvara with integrity and character. Completely renovated in 2008, La Tambra’s simple and modern lines, amber-coloured wood, and permeating scent of crisp, mountain air are sure to delight one and all.

In the Ladin tradition, a tambra was a barn located at a high altitude where families would gather when feeding the animals in the summer. The simplicity of these actions still lives in our spirit and in our philosophy of hospitality.

The modern, warm, and stylistically unique atmosphere of the La Tambra Hotel distinguishes it amongst hotels in Corvara. Here, you’ll find tranquillity, vitality, great food, and stunning countryside dominated by the peaks of Sassongher Mountain, the Sella Massif, and Sasso Croce.

The hotel has a wellness area, a cosy bar with fireplace, a furnished terrace and ample parking. The hotel is only 300 metres from the Boè cable car, which is the starting point for the popular Sella Ronda tour, and the Col Alto cable car. Its ideal location allows quick access to all activities, whether in winter or in summer.

The tranquillity of nature provides the inspiration for our philosophy. A modern ambience, stylish and authentic furnishing, the beautiful mountain scenery of Alta Badia, and the serenity of the Dolomites: these are the components that infuse each of our hotel’s rooms and suites with so much character.

Our goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere that is warm and informal, capturing everything that nature and its characteristics teach and suggest to us in our daily lives. Our philosophy is based on authenticity, naturalness, genuineness and sincerity.

The La Tambra is situated in the centre of Corvara and boasts spectacular views from every corner of the hotel.

Whether relaxing in your room, unwinding in the wellness area, or enjoying good wine in the spacious garden, you’ll never fail to be amazed by the breathtaking scenery of Sassongher Mountain, the Sella Massif, and Sasso Croce.

A warm and pleasant atmosphere permeates each and every of the hotel’s spaces—illuminated by the light of the setting sun.
