Pets are welcome and accepted at the Hotel Riviera dei Fiori, but are not allowed on the beach. As far as the entrance to the beach is concerned, the Hotel does not have a dedicated space, but there is a beach for dogs a few kilometres away. Parking for hotel guests is included in the hotel rate.

If you love cycling and you are an adventurous spirit, you will certainly love the itineraries we offer you, to explore a land of many facets, with breathtaking views of the Ligurian Sea on one side and the company of the majestic Alps on the other. Falling in love with these landscapes is really simple: we’re sure you won’t be able to do without them anymore!

FROM SAN LORENZO AL MARE TO OSPEDALETTI
This path is easily accessible and suitable for everyone: the cycle path that connects San Lorenzo to Ospedaletti offers a spectacular panorama… in a few kilometers of cycling you will have the privilege to cross one of the most beautiful stretches of the coast of Liguria, and discover breathtaking views riding your bike effortlessly.

Recognized as one of the most beautiful cycle lanes in Europe, it was built when the old railway network was decommissioned. Departing from San Lorenzo al mare and arriving at Ospedaletti, the cycle path is 24 km long; it is mostly flat and exposed to the sea, and is one of the excellence of our western Ligurian Riviera.

Suitable for walks and trips, it can be covered with many ecological means of transport (bicycle, scooter, rollerblade, etc..) as well as on foot: this is why it is an excellent place where you can practice sports activities, such as running, cycling, skiroll and much more.

Throughout the route, in addition to the passage between the various villages along the coast, there are numerous catering services, where you can stop and recover your lost energy.

IN THE WAKE OF MILANO-SANREMO
The Milano Sanremo is a super classic for bike lovers. In this route will be faced the climb ‘Cipressa’, a challenge for sportsmen, and you will pass through Arma di Taggia, Poggio di Sanremo and Sanremo, to get a taste of the classic route that connected Milan with the west coast. There will be a coffee break to catch your breath and energy after the Cipressa climb.

These are the last kilometers of the very classic “Milano-Sanremo”, with the last two hills that put a strain on the athletes’ fitness, to arrive then in Sanremo in via Roma, where the final sprint takes place!

The bike path takes us to San Lorenzo, where there is the beginning of the famous Cipressa (regular climb of about 6 km) that leads to cross the village of Costarainera and then becomes lighter, until the village of Cipressa, crossing the bottleneck in the center of the village, where begins a descent of 3.5 km and where you accelerate in view of approaching the finish line.

Back behind the sea, being a pleasure ride, we enter the bike path to cover a few km in safety and to exit again on the state road, near the junction that will take us to the next climb. The last effort, for the professionals in this 298 km race, is the climb of Poggio, about 3.5 km long; the climb has an average gradient of 4%, then it goes down towards Sanremo.

At this point you return to the main road (Aurelia), as the final 2km remain with the finish in the city centre! For our tour, instead, we have the possibility to return to the bike path and ride it in the direction of San Lorenzo al mare to return to the structure.

FOOD & WINE ITINERARY FOR BIKE LOVERS
If you love pedal with taste… and with taste, food and wine tours are for you! We can choose together the best route for a small group, choosing a route of about 30 km with more or less climbs (depending on the athletic preparation of the group) and choose a route through San Lorenzo, Torre Paponi and Dolcedo. The arrival of the route includes a visit to a local oil mill with tasting.

We start in the direction of Imperia: leaving the cycle path in San Lorenzo, we continue on the state road, until the Prino torrent, that we will climb on the asphalt, skirting it from its right.

In this valley, excellence for the specialty of olive oil, we can admire most of the Ligurian terraces with the cultivation of olive trees, until we reach the village of Dolcedo, a typical town developed with agriculture and home of beautiful works of great historical and artistic value.

On the way back, you can stop at the Benza oil mill for an oil tasting and listen to the explanation of the secrets of the mill; finally, you will go back to the sea for the return journey.

VASIA GOURMET TOUR
An alternative as a food and wine route by bike passes through Vasia, Pantasina, Prelà and Dolcedo: you pass through characteristic villages of the Riviera dei Fiori, alternating sea views and mountain views, with destination one of the local oil mills. Here you can taste the oil, a product with which Liguria is famous all over the world, together with its beauties.

We head towards Imperia, near the area of Porto Maurizio and climb inland, passing through the small hamlet of “Caramagna” where our ascent begins, with a fantastic climb immersed in olive groves and a splendid view of the sea.

We continue to climb on a road with little traffic, as it passes through small villages and after 7 km we arrive in the small village of Vasia, where you can find a fountain to fill the water bottles. The panorama is relaxing, with nature dominating the territory: the right satisfaction after so many km of cycling in the open air!

But it’s not over yet: leaving Vasia behind us, we continue on a valley road that remains at high altitude and leads us to admire the “county of Pietralata”, an ancient fortification dating back to the XV century.

Continuing, then, we end with the flat stretch in the village of Pantasina, and then head downhill to Molini di Prelà and, going back towards the valley, we pass through the village of Dolcedo and skirt the Prino torrent as far as the sea; the excursion ends going towards Sanremo for the return on the state road.

THE SALT ROUTE
We leave in the morning at nine o’clock from the Hotel Riviera dei Fiori for a day-bike, covering a distance of about 100 km, with the van to carry the bikes. In nine hours of excursion you will cross the heights of Liguria, passing from sea to land (and back) and crossing some of the most beautiful viewpoints in the area. An unmissable classic for those who love cycling!

It is an experience outside the box: an adventure that starts at 1800 m in Piedmont at Colle di Tenda, on the French-Italian border, and plunges into a completely carriageable road, without any particular difficulty, crossing the Marguareis natural park and the Navette forest.

Among variations of flora and breathtaking landscapes, we will reach the imposing Mount Saccarello, which overlooks the Argentina valley and which we will travel mainly downhill, to return to the beaches of Liguria! You will have the privilege to live an adventure that you can practice both with the muscular mtb and with the e-bike, also with overnight stay in a refuge.

THE LIGURIAN RIVIERA

Taggia is also to be found in this beautiful valley, a medieval centre and an authentic repository of cultural heritage, and Triora, an ancient municipality famous for its medieval statutes, witch trials and churches painted with exquisite frescoes.

IMPERIA
at the centre of the Riviera dei Fiori, it is crossed by the Impero Torrente which separates the two inhabited centres that comprise it: Oneglia and Porto Maurizio.

Famous for the production of olive oil, you can admire the testimonies of 6,000 years of oil events, protagonist in art, religion, food and daily life, visiting the Oil Museum of the Carli Brothers located not far from the Central square of Oneglia.

SAILING SCHOOL
The Sailing School of the Aregai Yacht Club has been active for several years and has brought many young people closer to sailing. The start of the courses is scheduled from 22 June and includes weekly courses from Monday to Friday from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm but different times can be arranged according to the number of participants.

The practical part is carried out on sailing dinghies that can be single boats (Optimist) for the little ones or with two people in crew (Feva and 420). Sailing on dinghies is fun and safe. Sailing helps people to improve balance and coordination, to socialize with teammates and, last but not least, to become familiar with the sea!

The lessons are conducted by FIV instructors. At the end of each course a certificate of participation is provided with an indication of the level reached by the student.
