South Place Hotel is boutique, luxurious, lively and fresh-faced, the first hotel from restaurateurs, D&D London. With 80 bedrooms, five bars and a floor of event spaces, the hotel was designed for wining, dining and dancing, before falling into a comfortable bed.

Designed by Conran + Partners, inspired details and playful touches mirror the vibrant neighbourhood, a deft mixture of the contemporary City, London’s most historic quarters and the achingly cool East End.

Both inside the hotel and a short walk away you’ll find something to explore on every visit. During the week the hotel exudes stylish business buzz and at the weekend it slips into something more elegant.

South Place Hotel is located where the hip East End meets the vibrant City of London. Where old meets new in an ever changing landscape of incredible contemporary architecture, developing around the listed and notable historic buildings and sites dating as far back as the Roman era. Explore the area from the vibrant flower markets to independent foodie hubs.

EAST WING
Step into this three-bedroom suite with its own exclusive entrance. Offering an open plan living and dining room, you can reside in the centre of the apartment, with a guest bathroom and kitchenette, as well as a fully dedicated room service team who are poised to arrange anything – from an intimate cocktail party to a three-course dinner.

With a grand master suite and two adjoining bedrooms, all offering en-suites and super king-size beds, experience your very own private apartment.

SUITE 610
This exclusive one-bedroom suite is perfect in design and space – larger than most London pads! Located on the top floor of the hotel, with dual aspect views whilst looking down on The City of London.

With an open-plan living space, furniture designed by B&B Italia, a dining table for eight guests, as well as a kitchenette and guest bathroom. Suite 610 is perfect for a relaxing stay or mixing work with pleasure!

Experience the bedrooms in full swing, with its super king size bed, unique free-standing glass bath and TV, as well as complimentary soft drinks and snacks from the mini-bar – and all the added extras you deserve.

STUDIO
Our studios are essentially apartments in their own right, positioned on each of the corners of the hotel. The bedrooms are open-plan with super king-size beds, a seating area, extensive wardrobes and desk space.

The spacious bathrooms have the best of it all, with a deep bath tub and a luxury rain shower, as well as dual sinks. Sit back on the deep sofa and enjoy complimentary soft drinks and snacks from our mini-bar (when booking direct), so you can settle into your new home in the City!

THE PAD
Enter into your own hideaway with the your friends or family. This two-bedroom pad includes a spacious Wilson room with a super-king-size bed, and vast wardrobe space.

The marble bathroom features a walk-in shower and separate double bath. Across the corridor, you’ll find our South Place Twin room which has two comfy twin beds, and plenty of space to hang out.

Both rooms offer high-speed internet for all gadgets, as well as a large B&O television. Don’t forget – both rooms are stocked daily with free soft drinks and snacks.

SOUTH PLACE LOFT
South Place Lofts are located on the top floor of the hotel with floor to ceiling windows and views out over London’s rooftops.

Each one features a queen size bed, slate rain shower, a large working desk, wardrobe space to spare and unique art work. A perfect place to settle above the City. Our Lofts provide complimentary high speed internet, a fully stocked mini bar and a B&O television.

For drinks and nibbles visit 3 Bar or book a table under the floral canopy in the Secret Garden, both of which are serving the exclusive Woodford Reserve cocktail menu.

If you are feeling more peckish, check out South Place Chop House which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner either inside the restaurant or out on the terrace. Alternatively, if you’re looking to wine and dine, visit our Michelin-starred Angler, where you can also sit out on the stunning rooftop terrace.

A retractable roof is available in the Secret Garden and Angler Terrace to keep your plans in the diary. All restaurants and bars accept cashless payment only.

SOUTH PLACE CHOP HOUSE
South Place Chop House is a classically British restaurant. The menus are dedicated to the seasons and carefully sourced cuts of meat and freshly caught fish. They are complemented by a selection of curated craft beers and a short, sharp list of wines.

At the weekend, South Place Chop House becomes a social spot with all-day bottomless brunches alongside midday classics. The menu includes classic British favourites, from steak and chips to American style pancakes.

A refinement of the conventional 18th Century Chop House style, South Place Chop House offers contemporary tastes and sensibilities. It’s the perfect destination to catch-up with a group of family or friends.

3 BAR
Waking up the City with fresh coffee and putting it to bed with crafty cocktails. A great place to have a business meeting during the day, and catching up with friends in the evening.

The talented team have partnered with Woodford Reserve to create an exclusive cocktail menu for a limited time in addition to the usual menu so there is bound to have a tipple that tickles your fancy. Every Thursday our guest DJs lay on an evening soundtrack to get. Parties of up to 40 are welcomed for informal celebrations.

ANGLER RESTAURANT
Led by Executive Chef, Gary Foulkes, Angler is our dazzling Michelin-starred restaurant, a favourite of gastronomes, romantics and power lunchers. With seafood at its heart, the ever-changing menu features only seasonal and carefully sourced produce.

Using passion and precision, Gary meticulously curates each dish to celebrate the taste and textures of the ingredients, using a variation of techniques, flavouring and seasoning. To complement our Head Sommelier has compiled an extensive wine list of bottles from both the new and old world.

For special occasions, Angler’s Chef’s View is a semi-private table seating up to 14, showing our chefs at work and vistas of iconic City landmarks such as The Gherkin and the Salesforce Tower (previously The Heron Tower).

CHEF’S VIEW
The Chef’s View, Angler’s semi private dining room, is located at the end of the restaurant, where guests can feel and see into the buzz of the kitchen.

With views looking out across the City, this spot is an ideal space for intimate dinners or celebrating special occasions. Have a front row seat to all of the excitement in the kitchen and watching our award-winning team hard at work creating picture perfect dishes.

ANGLER TERRACE
Welcome to this little piece of Provence in the heart of the City. Our rooftop terrace is the perfect spot for any time of the year, with views looking out over the city and heaters and a retractable rain cover to keep you warm in colder months.

For lunch, Angler Terrace is an extension of our Michelin-starred seafood restaurant, serving Executive Chef, Gary Foulkes’ menu of delectable dishes.

By night we serve cocktails and delicious snacks, the perfect place for outside evening drinks. Angler Terrace is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 5pm to 10pm and Thursday to Saturday from 12pm to 10pm.

THE SECRET GARDEN
Explore our Enchanted Forest in the Secret Garden, a hidden outdoor terrace in the heart of the City. With waterfalls, palm trees and beautiful, hanging plants, this is the perfect place for business catch-ups, post-work cocktails, or weekend fun.

The space offers a retractable roof in case of changeable weather. Step into the garden and feel like you’ve been transported to a secret location in this luxurious space.

Our Chop House restaurant will offering brunch in the Secret Garden on the weekends when the room is not privately booked. The perfect place for a social occasion.

PRIVATE DINING
We’re here to impress with Conran-designed private dining rooms seating parties from 10 to 100 and bespoke menus. Renowned for bottomless weekend brunches and formal dinners, or anything in between.

PURDEY & STEED
These rooms are stylish chameleons, named after John Steed and his sidekick, Purdey from The Avengers. Both rooms have a south-facing floor-to ceiling windows, mirrored by a wall of dark oak panelling opposite. They interconnect to create one large space. Suitable for elaborate dinners or outrageous parties.

PEEL
This room is named after a female spy known for her elegance and spirit, Emma Peel from The Avengers. There’s a large ivory lacquer table at its centre crowned by a pivoting chandelier.

A wall of silver birch trees and blonde wood defines this serene space. Flooded with natural daylight or candle lit and intimate in the evenings.

KURYAKIN
Named after Illya Kuryakin, the dashing Russian agent in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Kuryakin is a study in scarlet.

Featuring a round lacquered table with a modern Arthurian chandelier poised above there’s also a piece of interactive artwork for playtime or if guests want to create personalised messages. Perfect for private Bellini brunches or intimate dinners.

WELLNESS
Floor-to-ceiling windows and mirrored walls create an energy boosting, motivational work-out environment in our wellness area.

We are always working hard behind the scenes so you can get enjoying our facilities safely. With enhanced cleaning and social distancing measures in place, we require guests to book a dedicated timeslot via our online booking system once checked into the hotel.

Should you wish to get out and about to explore our city, we also have a fleet of canary-coloured South Place bicycles – should two wheels be more your thing.

GYM
South Place Hotel has a spacious gym open 24 hours a day featuring state-of-the-art equipment.

Fully kitted out with the finest facilities, there’s TechnoGym resistance apparatus and cardiovascular machines with touch screen TV displays, a broad range of free weights and a stretch area. The gym is available for hotel guests and members, the use of towels, water and earphones are complimentary.

SPA
Open from 6am to 10pm, there’s a little corner of peace and indulgence on the first floor of the hotel. Male and female steam, sauna and experience showers with three types of rainfall to soothe and revive.

COLUMBIA FLOWER MARKET
On Sunday the street is transformed into an oasis of foliage and flowers. Everything from bedding plants to 10 foot banana trees are up for grabs. Where art galleries sit next to cup cake shops, vintage clothes stores, European delis, garden and antique shops.

SHOREDITCH
Shoreditch is an arty area adjacent to the equally hip neighbourhood of Hoxton, both surrounding the historic City of London. Creatives and trendsetters fill the clubs and bars that surround Shoreditch High Street, Great Eastern Street and Old Street.

Fancy something different? Dining in the area features everything from trendy restaurants and smart gastropubs to artisan coffee shops and popup experience takeaways.

BARBICAN CENTRE
Close to the hotel you will find a world-class arts and learning centre like no other. The Barbican Centre is a wonder of the city and includes a concert hall seating 2,000, a theatre for 1,300, an art gallery, a lending library, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, cinemas, restaurants, waterfalls and the second largest Conservatory in London.

ANGEL

SPITALFIELDS
The historic Old Spitalfields Market offers restaurants and fashion stores, along with some quirkier boutiques and less traditional market stalls.

There are some wonderful old-fashioned pubs close-by and overall, Spitalfields remains today the fascinating, fun, leisurely place to visit it always has been and now with some incredible Food Trucks, serving-up the most amazing street food in London.

THE OLD TRUMAN BREWERY
The Old Truman Brewery, East London’s revolutionary arts and media quarter, is home to a hive of creative businesses as well as exclusively independent shops, galleries, markets, bars and restaurants.

For over twenty years the Old Truman Brewery has been regenerating its ten acres of vacant and derelict buildings into spectacular office, retail, leisure and event spaces.
