The Nau Royal has a beachy and contemporary style, with a design that invokes the natural, the simple and bringing structural lightness to the environments.

The project by GCP Arquitetos aims to minimize the visual impact on the surroundings, making it part of and complementing the environment through large glass areas, volumes and heights below the uses permitted by law and the use of pressurized supply systems. which avoids the construction of gravity feed tanks above the hotel body.

The diverse and different spaces with integrated environmentalization, that is, without doors and partitions, create an open environment with a lounge style. The GCP Arquitetos team received the “Best of Architecture 2011 – category: Hospitality” award from the magazine Arquitetura & Construção, for the quality of design and sustainability concepts incorporated into Nau Royal.

The apartments, in duplex models, maximize the spaces for the couple, with a reserved space for the bedroom and bathroom and another, more open space for the living room and solarium.

The architecture and landscaping projects were integrated from the beginning in order to bring the maximum of contact between the guests, the plants, the waters and the earth, not to mention the contact with the sand and the sea that, in addition to being visual all the time, is seconds away.

RIBEIRÃO DO ITU WATERFALL

• Total extension: 1.2 km (first waterfall), approximately 1.5 km (second waterfall); 2 km (third waterfall)
• Average time of the route: 30 min (first waterfall) and 50 min (second waterfall).

The waterfalls are located in the neighborhood of Boiçucanga towards Serra do Mar, the transformation of the landscape is evident when we approach the beginning of the trail, which has parking and bathroom.

The ecotourist already begins the trail with adventure, crossing the small river of Ribeirão de Itu and entering the trail in the middle of the forest that mixes with the riparian forest of the river, providing a natural environment rich in species and high humidity.

The trail follows a comfortable pace without very steep stretches, overcoming natural obstacles such as fallen trees, huge tree roots and eventually encountering local residents, such as a few small mammals, countless amphibians, colorful birds and ancient trees with Guanandí and the Jequitibá.

The effort of the trail is offset by the lush vegetation and the beautiful waterfalls and natural pools that the Ribeirao de Itu offers visitors along its route.

SERTÃO DO CACAU WATERFALL

• Average time of the route: 30 min (first waterfall) and 1 hr (second waterfall).

This trail is little known and inserted in the interior of the forest, has its route in the middle in dense vegetation and its route is easy to be traveled, being great for trekking, passes through countless potions, whirlpools, waterfalls and Figueiras-brown giant with more than 12 meters well in the middle of the way.

The final destinations found along the entire course are natural pools of crystal clear water with large waterfalls in the background and surrounded by forest, great for swimming and enjoy the incredible feeling of being in a place preserved with a responsible company.

BARRA DO UNA WATERFALL

• Distance: 2 km (first waterfall) and 2,5 km (second waterfall) approximately;
• Average time of the route: 40 min (first waterfall) and 1 hr (second waterfall).

Located in the backlands of the Barra do Una, a few kilometers towards the mountains are the rapids of the rivers that form the River Una, which has all its exuberance down the forest through giant rocks, big water wells and small waterfalls.

It is one of the most preserved regions of São Sebastião, concentrating the largest biodiversity of amphibians in the world, in a forest that is the richest of all being thus a perfect way to the contemplation of nature safely and with adventure.

The trail is spacious and starts very quiet, with no exaggerated climbs or descents, being great for the general public, always following the river that offers many points to enjoy, such as the various water wells After a relaxing 40-minute walk, we arrive at Cachoeira do Chuveiro, with 2 waterfalls where we can enter underneath and feel all the energy involved, not to mention the landscape of the place.

Following another 20 minutes on the trail we arrive at the breathtaking place with the Waterfall of the Escorrega, where the vegetation of the space for the great river that passes over the gigantic rocks, forming a great slide that falls in the lake.

TREKKING
The trekking, better known as hiking or mountain walking, goes to people who seek to relax and unwind the mind. It is a sport to be practiced outdoors, which has been growing all over the world, covering all types of people. Its practice is to know a particular region, its physical, biological, historical, social and cultural environments.

Trekking people have the opportunity to enjoy contact with nature, surrounded by beautiful landscapes in places known by the few, which consists of safely starting out, exploring a new region, being able to observe the countless plants and animals.

INDIGENOUS RESERVATION OF RIO SILVEIRAS

• Distance: 1,5 km (trail of the Rio das Antas); 2 km (Silveiras River waterfall trail);
• Average track time: 50 min (first track) and 1,5 hr (second track).
• Total time: 4-5 hours

Located in Boracéia, only 1 km in the direction of the sierra, the Tupi-Guaraní Indigenous Reserve houses 120 Indian families in 948.40 hectares and has a special school for approximately 350 indigenous children.

Preserving their culture, the natives maintain common practices such as hunting, palmito, cassava and maize cultivation, armament making and traditional painting.

Our tour begins with the trail through the native vegetation of the Atlantic Forest, especially in this itinerary we are accompanied by an indigenous guide, destined to the rivers of crystalline waters and waterfalls, we cross the trails showing many curiosities like the various animals and plants, footprints of large Antas, Pacas and Cutias, in addition to what is presented by the indigenous guide.

Returning from the trail, we know a little of their culture very closely, being able to talk with the Pajé, the Cacique and the families who sell their beautiful crafts and armaments, as well as painting the body of the tourists.

The experience is unique, it is like diving back in time some thousands of years ago and observing the wonders of a virgin and primitive Brazil, free from the tendencies of modernity.

BRAVE BEACH TRAIL

• Degree of difficulty: Medium
• Extension: approximately 3 km
• Total time: 3 to 4h

The Brava Beach is located between the beaches of Maresias and Boiçucanga being accessed only by the trail or through boats by the sea. The Brava Beach trail requires a good physical training and was rated with medium difficulty, is approximately 3 km long on a unique trail.

With steep and slippery stretches, the place is marked by its total conservation in the midst of the rich Forest of the Atlantic Forest, counting on several tourist points such as the mirantes, cachoeirinha, rocky coast, and, finally, the paradisiac beach of white sand.

The trail lasts in average 1 h walk to the beach, largely shaded and rich in details provided by the species of plants and animals presented by biologists. Arriving at your destination you will find 500 m of white sand and clean with strong waves and good for surfing.

The beach has a stream in the middle of the beach with crystal clear water that forms natural pools. Next to the rocky shore of the right corner, the visitor will find an entrance to a small trail of 15 m, where you will find a waterfall of approximately 3 meters surrounded by the forest.

PRAIAS
The preferred setting for anyone visiting São Sebastião is the beach. Get out of the jungle of stone and come to a place of peace, where the noise of the sea waves relax us and make us forget everything that is not calm, quiet and rest. BARRA DO UNA

One of the most beautiful landscapes of the North Coast, Barra do Una brings together the delights of the beach and the mountain. The Una river descends the mountain range and flows into the sea along the northern edge of the beach. Beach with crystal clear waters, clear and loose sand. The waves are stronger along the beach and calm in the encounter with the Una River.

JUQUEHY

It is three and a half miles of fine white sand, calm sea on the left corner of the beach and good waves on the other – ideal for surfing – transparent waters. Besides the sea bath and the stretched out on the canga to relax in the sun, the tourist also enjoy its infrastructure, where there are great options of restaurants and shops.

PRETA

BARRA DO SAHY

BOIÇUCANGA
