The attraction of a small boutique hotel – in contrast to major hotel chains – is that they are able to offer a unique atmosphere, personalized service, direct, personal relationships and experiences.

Set by the foot of the Buda Royal Castle, directly on the Buda side of the Danube Riverbank, our family managed boutique hotel with its 27 panoramic rooms enjoys an elevated location in the heart of Budapest. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from Buda Castle district where the Royal Palace, St Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion are located.

These are some of Budapest’s most visited sights and also UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The historical Chain Bridge – only 250 metres from the hotel– takes travellers to the Pest-side of the city which includes the central business and shopping districts.

Our 4 star quality hotel offers well-appointed modern guestrooms with free WiFi , A/C , a rich buffet breakfast (try our home-made egg specialities!) as well as a historical concert hall and tearoom.

The hotel prides itself on being a home away from home for a weekend break, honeymoon, anniversary, business or cultural trip to Budapest. Hotel Victoria guarantees its guests value-for-money accommodation, a perfect base from which to explore the city and enjoy the personalized service in this first-class destination.

Another highlight of our charming, relaxing hotel is the most incredible view that you can imagine of Budapest . As each room is on the riverside and is equipped with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, the view of the Danube is fascinating, encompassing Margaret Island as well as the Pest riverbank (a member of the UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Parliament and the famous Danube Bridges.

Imagine all this while having breakfast in our breakfast lounge with the sun rising or sitting in your armchair in the guestroom, having a nice glass of wine with the brilliant lights of Budapest’s skyline in the background.

THE HISTORY
Hotel Victoria was originally built at another location of Budapest in 1983 , as the first private hotel after World War II . Since at that time the private accommodation sector was not accepted, the state forced the owners to sell the hotel to a state-owned company.

Fortunately the company did not want to buy the name: Hotel Victoria . Some years later, the construction of the new Hotel Victoria began and it opened in 1990 in one of the best locations in Budapest, on the riverside of the Danube in the centre of the city with a spectacular view from all of the hotel rooms.

The hotel offers all major services for tourists and business people. The primary aim of the owners is to operate Hotel Victoria as the best Boutique hotel in Budapest.

We understand that the expression ’Boutique hotel’ is not very well known yet in Budapest, however the location of the hotel and the quality of services provided, will hopefully make it very popular in the near future.

SUPERIOR ROOMS
Each of the 27 exquisitely appointed non-smoking deluxe rooms have floor to ceiling ultra soundproof windows facing the river Danube, and are equipped with high-tech amenities.

Our deluxe rooms are spacious and offer individually controlled air conditioning, double beds (200×200 cm), or twin beds (2x100x200 cm), comfortable armchairs, a roomy wardrobe and a perfectly equipped bathroom; ideal for people who are looking for something unique and extraordinary.

BUDGET ROOMS
We highly recommend this part of the hotel (budget category) to those guests who would like to be accommodated in a centrally located hotel, but without a view of the Danube.

The rooms are in a separate building, having stairway accsess only and the amenities of these rooms are the same as of the Superior Rooms including the individually controlled air conditioning and double beds (180×200 cm).

Our guests who choose to stay here can enjoy all the services of the hotel (e.g. bar, sauna, laundry, program organization and car parking facilities). The entrance and the reception is in the main building where the buffet breakfast is served. (Bem rakpart 11).

BUDAPEST: THE CITY OF SPAS
Budapest is often dubbed as the city of healing waters because of the numerous spas and thermal baths the city offers. The land , on which Budapest lies, is rich in natural springs and wells that contain several beneficial minerals.

They supply the warm, healing waters for the nearly 50 Budapest spas, baths and public pools . That’s why the water in the Budapest Spas and Thermal Baths are perfect for therapeutic and recreational purposes too.

The baths in Budapest originate from two time periods: the Turkish Baths (Király, Rudas) date back to the 16th century when Hungary was under Ottoman occupation and the Gellért, Széchenyi and Lukács baths were built in the beginning of the 20th century.
