The ski and spa resort of Zürserhof is one of the most luxurious establishments in cosmopolitan Zürs. Much of this is connected with the unique location and the incomparable atmosphere. However, not everything that makes the Zürserhof so special is recognisable at first glance.

The Zürserhof has everything that one could wish for in an exclusive holiday residence: The sunny location in a private resort on the edge of Zürs promises delightful tranquillity and is nevertheless close to the centre.

The establishment’s sophisticated atmosphere extends an invitation for pleasure. SPA and sports facilities open up a wide range of possibilities. And the demonstrative personal pampering service ultimately ensures that you feel royally at ease.

THE HISTORY
As early as the 1920’s, Count Tattenbach accommodated “paying guests” in line with the standards set by the English. The aristocratic hotelier demonstrated vision and style – even back then, he equipped the Zürserhof with exclusive private bathrooms with golden taps.

It was the only establishment on the Arlberg to have such luxury. In 1955, Ernst Skardarasy, the international skiing pioneer from Zürs, and his wife Hilde, bought the Zürserhof with its 70 beds.

Since the beginning of the eighties, as sole proprietors, Monika and Willy Skardarasy have been running the 5s-star hotel, with its 180 beds and a first-class sports and recreational offer for discerning guests. 2004 saw the transition to the third generation with their son, Hannes Skardarasy, as co-director.

Since September 2010, he has been actively supported by his wife Laura. June 2012 saw the birth of their son, Maximilian, who will perhaps lead the Zürserhof into the future as the fourth generation.

ROOMS & SUITES
After an eventful day at the Arlberg, your room will become a comfortable, personal retreat area: experience relaxing hours in the cosy sitting area and take a last look at the evening landscape of the Arlberg – that’s how you can really make the most of it.

ROYAL SUITE
You don’t necessarily have to be a king to feel like one while staying in the royal suite. On the one hand this is owed to the exquisite facilities that really leave no wish unfulfilled. However, on the other, it is also down to the butler who is exclusively available to you in this suite.

With its 180 m², the royal suite offers a great deal of room for luxury, such as the two separate bedrooms – each with their own bathroom and separate closet area. Sauna/steam cabin and whirlpool bath create a wellness area within your own four walls.

The generously sized living room and dining room feature an open fireplace, and a large south-facing terrace borders the suite’s rooms, which can be expanded by up to 5 bedrooms. A private butler promises exclusive service.

The listed prices are per night for 2 or 4 people, respectively, including half-board and enable free use of the Zürserhof world of indulgence within the framework of our inclusive services.

DINING
Zürserhof “culinarium” – As a gourmet, you are guaranteed to come into your own in the Zürserhof. Not simply because our Chef and his creative kitchen team magic diverse culinary delicacies from first-class products. But also because you will enjoy half-board in the Zürserhof. You will learn to appreciate that. Because mountain air gives you an appetite.

THEMED EVENINGS
The weekly culinary programme of the Zürserhof is equivalent to a gourmet tour. Alongside the traditional Austrian buffet, fondue chinoise, Mediterranean evening and a gala dinner is once a week another attractive highlight with the opulent dessert buffet.

CHEESE BUFFET
With a phenomenal 200 exquisite cheese specialities from throughout the world, the Zürserhof cheese buffet is worth a little sin here and there. Anyone who is simply unable to decide between mature Brie, fine blue mould cheeses, domestic mountain cheese or exotic cheese is best advised to consult the cheese sommelier.

THE WINE CELLAR
Even the old Romans recognized that truth lies in wine, as the saying “in vino veritas” confirms. Today, fans primarily appreciate wine, whisky and co. on account of their taste. Here in the Zürserhof, this pleasure experience is guaranteed not to go amiss.

We have stocked our cellar with a fine selection of the best and most refined wines. After a look at our wine menu, you can enjoyably begin with a foray through the most famous winegrowing regions in the world.

In the process, our sommelier will be delighted to recommend the perfect wine to suit the menu and your personal preferences. Allow the evening to draw to a pleasant close with a wonderful digestif at our bar.

Or, should you prefer an old whisky from the Scottish Highlands, a fine cognac, a refreshing mojito or an exotic cocktail, our head bartender will be pleased to advice you with his extensive knowledge.

THE SUN TERRACE
The sun terrace of the Zürserhof is one of the most beatiful in the Arlberg region. Dream location, uninterrupted panoramic views and sunshine all day long – if you don’t take a little break on the sun terrace you only have yourself to blame.

And you will have missed something rather wonderful. Those who know our hotel and the Arlberg region have always been timing their day of skiing so that at lunchtime they are near the Zürserhof terrace. The seats are very sought after.

This may partly be due to the merits of the spacious sun terrace itself, but it also has a lot to do with the culinary delicacies from the Zürserhof kitchen that help you charge up your energy for the second half of the day.

FITNESS STUDIO
Your daily fitness routine doesn’t have to suffer when you’re on holiday. Equipped with state-of-the-art professional appliances, training in the light-flooded fitness studio with a view of the mountain world is sometimes even easier than at home.

With professional guidance you will receive valuable tips for a controlled muscle formation. The fitness centre is open to our guests daily from 7 am to 10 pm.

SPORTS AND TENNIS HALL
Even after a long day’s skiing, you still feel a certain need for movement? In our sports hall, we have created the ideal conditions for tennis, badminton, basketball, indoor football, hockey and volleyball.

You are welcome to use our carpeted tennis hall at no charge. Our state-certified tennis teachers, Peter Hacksteiner and Bernhard Huber, will teach you tennis that is fun – as well as being both technically and methodologically at the cutting edge.

PERSONAL COACHING
We are happy to offer our support should you also wish to work specifically on your fitness during your stay at the Zürserhof. Upon request, the Zürserhof sports instructor will compile a tailor-made training programme for you, combined with the ideal nutrition and pleasant relaxation phases.

It won’t be long before you sense the positive impact on your fitness and personal physique. What do I need to pay attention to when training? How do I reach my training goal or how will I get fit for the piste?

Questions, which our sport and wellness trainer Peter Hacksteiner not only hears on a frequent basis, but to which he also has tailor-made answers at the ready – in the form of individually adapted sports and training programmes, among other things.

Peter reveals the most important ground rules for correct weight loss, targeted training for lipometabolism, muscle formation and toning. He will compile a specially tailored workout, which is both easy and can be carried out anywhere.

The natural path to a trained body. In the case of pain, physical strain and tension, kinesio taping and a sports massage are contained with the training programme. With Peter, you are in the best of hands!

FAMILY & CHILDREN
Children and adolescents have different expectations of a perfect holiday than those of adults. However, since they should feel equally as at ease as their parents in the exclusive atmosphere of the Zürserhof, we have created small worlds: the world of “Kids” and that of the “Teenager”.

Eating is also a group activity. This has the advantage that your children are able to satisfy their hunger from 6.00 p.m. as part of the supervised children’s evening meal. And it also gives you and the other guests the possibility to enjoy a lovely and relaxing dinner.

To ensure that there is sufficient time for this, your offspring return to the Kids Club after eating. Here, with magic shows, children’s Olympiads or even with a bar keeping course for children, the hours until bedtime naturally pass far too quickly.

It‘s the Kids World – In the exclusive atmosphere of the Zürserhof Hotel, there is room for a second, small world: the world of children. What adults enjoy is not necessarily something for the little ones – and vice versa.

In Hotel Zürserhof, young and old should feel equally at ease. That’s why our Kids Club exists. Daily from 1.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m. – also earlier if required – our child minders make sure that the holidays are a lot of fun. Play, fun and loads of new playmates are on our kindergarten’s programme every day.

Children are welcome in the Kids Club from the age of 3 years. For younger children or babies, we are happy to organize a babysitter who will faithfully take care of your offspring’s wellbeing. This gives you, as young parents, the opportunity to enjoy a couple of hours of peace from time to time.

When parents are nothing but embarrassing and younger brothers and sisters are merely annoying, then your kids are of the right age for our teenager programme.

Not for parents and younger brothers and sisters, but simply cool… this is the programme that we have compiled specially for our adolescent guests: torchlit hikes, marshmallow grilling over the camp fire, disco evening or pool and tennis tournaments add up to loads of fun and cool new friends.

ENTERTAINMENT
There are lots of musical highlights during the week – whether Jazz, Soul, Swing or Austrian music – we are sure that there is something for every taste and passionate dancers will not miss out either during those evenings. Enjoy unforgettable hours with friends and family in the cozy atmosphere of the Zürserhof.

He has already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest for his home country Ireland twice. Now, Eddie Friel will make an appearance only for you. Every day! The wonderful composer and musician from Ireland will thrill you when playing piano.

He has really played and sung himself into the hearts of our guests. Eddie and his piano, at tea time or after dinner, have become an established event for many of our guests during a perfect day at Zürserhof.

THE ARLBERG

SNOWBOARD COURSES
These courses are held in small groups and ensure rapid success. The wonderful slopes of the Arlberg provide a great testing ground.

COURSES FOR CHILDREN
Ski school director Martin Kefer places much importance on a playful approach to learning to ski. Specially trained children’s instructors and their fun “ski courses with soul” guarantee success. Just how successful the children are can be tested in the weekly children’s races.

Prices include cups, medals and cuddly toys, and the winner can look forward to a pair of Fischer World Cup racing skis. On request, there is a lunchtime supervision service for your little ones and a special shuttle service takes them safely and comfortably from the hotel to the meeting place and back.

HELI SKIING
In the Zürserhof, the secret wish of every ambitious skier or snowboarder does not have to remain a dream. We are happy to organise heli-skiing excursions for you to the surrounding summits and therewith enable you an especially impressive power snow experience.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
It does not have to be the ski run only – variety gives spice to your life, also during your holidays in Zürserhof, of course.

Particularly if it is about sports and activities. Zürs and the surrounding region provide you with lots of opportunities to become active beyond ski runs: given the large amount of possible activities, one holiday will actually not be enough for you to experience really everything.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Arlberg also is a paradise for cross-country skiers with its two trails in Zürs and five in Lech. The Zürs skiing school provides those interested in a cross-country trial with private individual cross-country skiing lessons.

SNOWSHOE HIKING
Trudging with snowshoes through a snow-covered landscape is an unforgettable experience, no matter whether you walk on your own or with a private guide. We will be glad to fix an appointment for you.

WINTER HIKING
Winter hiking trails in a length of around 40 km, clearly signposted and provided with distance setting, are very inviting for winter hiking. A wide selection for Toni Grissemann, the experienced guide who will be happy to make you appreciate the beauty and the history of Arlberg during the guided tours.

ICE-SKATING
Ice-skating or curling with friends is possible on a beautiful natural ice field in Zürs as of December.

BOBSLEIGH & TOBOGGAN RUN
The bobsleigh and toboggan run from Oberlech to Lech has a length of 1.2 km and provides for many bends through the woods, for soft hills of powder snow as well as for a speedy finish. Open from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m., under floodlight in the evening, the run will be much fun. Bobsleighs can be borrowed in our hotel.

HORSE SLEDGE RIDE
Covered in warm blankets, the horse sledge will take you through the snow-covered winter landscape. Whether at night or during the day – it can hardly be more idyllic. We will be glad to organise your horse sledge ride. Visiting a rustic ski hut will be the perfect finish.

FEEDING OF DEER
When dusk comes down on Arlberg, it is the best time to watch deer feeding at close range. An impressive experience for those loving animals and nature.

SPORT STROLZ
In addition to the latest skis, snowboards and trendy skiing clothes including accessories, you will also find everything needed for fun and sports activities beyond the ski run in our Strolz sports shop in the hotel. Toboggans, bobsleighs, snowshoes…
