“Imanta” – Means magnetic attraction manifesting the energy of nature to our guests and visitors to reconnect with themselves. The Mexican owner of Imanta on a trip to Thailand was inspired by one of the luxury boutique establishments. Upon his return to Mexico, he envisioned having the best luxury boutique hotel while integrating typical Mexican architectural elements.
In 1991, seeking to establish his dream, he explored the coasts of Nayarit in a panga, contemplating the beauty of this unique space, he decided to jump into the sea and swim to the coast discovering this virgin paradise in the tropical jungle on the slopes of the Sierra de Vallejo.
Finally, in 2010 it is when he decides to open its doors to the public and in 2013 we became members of the Relais & Châteaux association, its main mission acquires the commitment to protect, make known, and enhance the value of wealth and diversity. gastronomy, as well as the different cultures of hospitality on the planet.
ROOMS & SUITES
With more than 250 acres of exuberant jungle, Imanta is the perfect setting to “reconnect with oneself” while admiring where the Sierra del Vallejo meets the sea.
Keep in mind that the suites and facilities are located within the lushness of the jungle, we have a great variety of flora and fauna that coexist with our hosts and guests. We have 2 Casonas (Three Bedrooms) & 10 majestic One Bedroom Suites (most with private pools) designed exclusively to guarantee privacy and comfort of our guests.
CASONA JAGUAR
This three-bedroom villa of over 929 m2, called Casona, offers two master suites, each with a king-size bed and a smaller room, suitable for one of your children. It has a family room or TV, an impressive terrace with a jacuzzi, dominating the best view in the area, a private beach, a private pool of more than 19 m2 with infinity edge.
A generous common area with double-height ceilings adorned by an entire wall of windows, a dining room, living room, a beautiful kitchen, and an outside grill, making Casona Jaguar the largest villa in Imanta.
CASONA LOS TEMPLOS
This is a three bedroom villa of more than 836 m2, called Casona, which offers 2 master suites, each with a king-size bed, a 3 X 1.8 m2 Jacuzzi and external stairs that lead to your own private terrace that It has a King-size beach bed, both connected by a private pool of more than 15 X 12 m2.
La Casona has a third room, smaller than the other two masters, with a full bathroom and sea views, recommended for children accompanied by an adult, with a separate common area with living room, kitchen and dining room. This villa is recommended for families with older children (teenagers and adults), couples and friends. It has a maximum capacity of 6 guests.
OCEAN FRONT SUITE
Located as close to the sea and with impressive views of the jungle. Each of these more than 232 m2 suites includes a majestic bedroom and a luxurious bathroom.
Exclusively designed for Imanta, the sofa, desk, dining table, plush bed, (double) sinks and spacious closets enhance the distinctive and sensual character of these suites. These Suites feature a private terrace with a King-size beach bed that faces its own relaxing private infinity pool.
JUNGLE DELUXE SUITE
A 232 m2 suites offering garden, jungle and mountain views; a majestic bedroom and a luxurious bathroom. Exclusively designed for Imanta, the sofa, the desk, the dining table, the luxurious bed, the sinks (double) and the spacious closets that enhance the distinctive character of your Suite. These suites offer a private terrace with a king-size lounger that looks out on its own relaxing private infinity pool.
STANDARD JUNGLE SUITE
Each of these spacious suites of more than 185 m2 has magnificent views of the jungle and the mountains. Each includes a majestic bedroom and a luxurious bathroom.
Exclusively designed for Imanta, the sofa, the desk, the dining table, the luxurious bed, the sinks (double) and the spacious closets that enhance the distinctive character of your House. It has a private terrace with a king-size lounger bed.
TUKIPA RESTAURANT
Tukipa our haute cuisine restaurant, is located in the heart of Imanta. It complements its sweeping views across the nature reserve and the Pacific Ocean with a seasonal menu that is reflected in the freshest ingredients we offer and that our produced in the region. Tukipa welcomes guests and visitors daily to enjoy an elegant and exclusive atmosphere.
TZAMAIKA RESTAURANT
The Tzamaika Restaurant reflects a representative experience of the region. Located under a traditional palapa on the exclusive beach of Imanta Resorts.
It is the perfect place to enjoy the seasonal organic menu and typical dishes such as zarandeado fish or shrimp ceviche that are accompanied by handmade tortillas from corn that is cultivated and prepared by Imanta. Guests, as well as visitors, will be able to enjoy a memorable experience with their companions while enjoying the closeness of the sea breeze.
OBSERVATORY BAR
Observatory Bar has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere located in the eye of Imanta with panoramic views of the jungle and the Mexican Pacific. It is the perfect location for regular winter season humpback whale watching season, as well as the culmination of a perfect day at sunset.
Our mixologists prepare a wide selection of organic cocktails such as our signature cocktail “Sangre Cora”/Cora Blood with representative ingredients based on homemade chili syrup, mezcal and Jamaica, giving the drink a smoky and refreshing touch.
We also offer our house tequila “Casa Dragones” for connoisseurs of high-end distillates or enjoy the Rivero Gonzalez Vineyard with the “Tzamaika and Tukipa” wines made exclusively by Imanta.
THE JUNGLE SPA
The Jungle Spa due to its characteristics ambience makes it unique in the region, it is surrounded by nature, birds and the sound of the sea; Ideal elements to connect physically and spiritually with mother earth.
That is why we have created unique treatments, such as the flower bath where you can enjoy natural essences in an exotic rock tub followed by a relaxing massage.
IMMERSIVE CULINARY CLIFF EXPERIENCE
Upon your arrival you will be greeted by a Chaman from the indigenous regional culture wixárikas with a copal cleanse to welcome you to this sacred space.
The Chaman will then guide you to different secret locations on The Cliff, all with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra de Vallejo’s lush jungle. After the sunset has set the culinary experience begins with a Relais & Chateaux special menu with wine pairings while admiring the starry sky.
THE GODS EYE HIKE
The journey starts from Imanta’s main beach area that connects to a hidden trail with panoramic views of the ocean, lushness, and caves where Wixarika culture used to live during prehispanic times.
This 35-minute hike will guide you to secret corners mother nature has to offer. At the end of the hike, you will be greeted at the Tree House pool area where you will enjoy a private Mexican lunch and have the opportunity to enjoy the day swimming in the natural waterfall that turns into a three-level swimming pool!
TEMAZCAL WIXARIKA
The Temazcal is an ancient and very powerful spiritual healing that is unlike any other. The “Chaman” will welcome you and perform a ritual of the Four Door Ceremony that will detoxify and rejuvenate your body and soul.
KAYAK & SNORKEL
Explore the beautiful coast of Imanta on kayak and discover, the hide beaches, the underwater caves, Islands hidden inside our property. Travel to “playa fin” before returning to Tzamaika Restaurant.
Includes an experienced guide, snorkel gear, water bottle and a selection of seasonal fruit. We recommend you bring a comfortable swimwear, sun block, a T-shirt and cap.
MARIETAS ISLAND & SNORKELING
More than just a snorkel adventure; explore the best of what the Marietas Islands National Park and surrounding waters have to offer. Ride through gregarious groups of wild dolphins, snorkel through swarms of King Angelfish.
