There are a large number of wonderful courses in the area other than the world famous Old Course, host to The Open Championship. Other than the other 6 courses that make up the Links, Kinsbarns, Carnoustie and Gleneagles are all firm favourites with visiting golfers.

THE ST ANDREWS LINKS COURSES
The jewel in the crown of the seven courses that form the St Andrews Links is undoubtably the Old Course, host to The Open Championship on many occasions with winners including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Nike Faldo, Seve Ballistaros and Tiger Woods.

If you are not lucky enough to have a pre-booked time, we will be happy to put you in the ballot. The other wonderful courses include The Castle, New, Jubilee, Eden, Strathtyrum and the Balgove. With courses to suit all standards of play and budgets there is a golf experience for everyone at The Home of Golf.

CARNOUSTIE LINKS
Often referred to as CarNasty! This demanding Links golf course can test the ability of the finest golfers. Carnoustie has played host to The Open Championship on many occasions, including a memorable wins for Bobby Jones & Tom Watson in yesteryear and in more recent times Francesco Molinari. And who can forget the scenes of Jean van der Velde in the burn when Scotsman Paul Laurie prevailed.

KINGSBARNS
For a relatively new course by Scotland’s standards, Kingbirds has quickly established itself as one of the worlds finest courses and is a must play for most golfers visiting the area.

One of the three courses (along with The Old Course & Carnoustie) that combine to host the annual Dunhill Links Championship on The European Tour, Kinsgbarns is a magnificent example of a wind swept, coastal links golf challenge that has the most impressive vistas and some of the best greens in Fife.

GLENEAGLES
Host to The Ryder Cup in 2014 and numerous tournaments over the years, Gleneagles is one of Scotlands most refined golfing and accommodation experiences.

With three majestic golf courses (PGA Centenary, Kings & Queens), Gleneagles offers something very different to the windy seashore links courses around St Andrews. However, these courses are true gems in their own right and if you have time we recommend to pay Auchterader a visit.
