LIVING IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
Round a bend in a little-trod path, you catch your first glimpse of the Eco-Hotel Spa Yves Rocher through the trees, like a wooden sentry overlooking the moors. To the right is a paddock, and a few donkeys.

To the left, a modern sculpture reaches skyward. You are at La Grée des Landes, a haven of nature created by Jacques Rocher in La Gacilly, Brittany, the birthplace of the famous Brand.

TEEMING WITH BIODIVERSITY
If you wake up early at La Grée des Landes, you can start an eclectic inventory that might include a fox, a badger, a rabbit, a squirrel, a pipistrelle bat, a common frog, a blue tit, a tawny owl, a lacewing, a golden ground beetle, a damselfly – and 36 different types of butterfly.

This site, which is monitored by France’s Birds Protection League (LPO), is home to 48 bird species, including six new nesting species: the wood lark, the spotted flycatcher, the common linnet, the house sparrow, the firecrest and the European serin.

IN THE HEART OF THE PARKLAND
On the wooden terrace, with its delightful scented plants, the pleasures of life on the moors can be enjoyed by couples, families and larger groups if you opt for a double suite. Chamomile, cornflowers and marigolds: flowers reign supreme in our new botanical suites.

Nestling in the southern part of the La Grée des Landes Estate, each suite has a living room and a large family bedroom. It is the ideal place to reconnect with your inner self and let yourself slip into “Natural Slow Life” mode.

A CABIN BETWEEN THE HEAVENS AND EARTH
A cabin up in the treetops in Brittany, a cocoon of tranquillity amongst the foliage, the Yves Rocher Spa Cabin nestles in the upper branches of an ancient cypress tree.

Guests can stay here between October and May, with only the star-studded sky and the birds of the night for neighbours. It really is just you and the trees… your spirits will soar and your body will be lulled.

“LES JARDINS SAUVAGES” ORGANIC RESTAURANT IN BRITTANY
You are in the homeland of our chef, Gilles Le Gallès. He is an aesthete of the plant world, creating seasonal menus in which every kind of fruit, vegetable, root and aromatic herb finds its place.

It is a gourmet’s delight, of course, but it is also totally organic and locally-sourced. At Les Jardins Sauvages restaurant, Nature sets the tempo. You are in the homeland of our chef, Gilles Le Gallès.

Depending on the chef’s inspiration and what products are available within a radius of less than 50 kilometres, our menus are a composition of flavours, textures and colours.

Day by day the menu follows the movements of Nature, and it changes completely every two months. Steamed delicacies, dishes complemented by sauces made with the juice of vegetables, or fish… or a few flower petals: good, beautiful and healthy.

CHOOSE ORGANIC
More than 600 ingredients sourced from 45 suppliers, 35 wines… At Les Jardins Sauvages, everything is organic (except the fish, which cannot be certified).

The chef puts together his range of delicious produce within a 50 km radius, from producers who share his commitment to the “organic and local” movement. Food “made in Brittany” from top to tail! This is one of the few restaurants in France to be certified 100% organic, ever since 2013.

OUR CHEF FABIEN MANZONI
New Chef at Les Jardins Sauvages : an encounter that was meant to be…“Nature is my inspiration for what matters.” With these words, Fabien Manzoni is taking the helm at Les Jardins Sauvages, the organic and locally sourced gourmet restaurant at La Grée des Landes, the Yves Rocher Eco-Hotel & Spa****.

Here, in the heart of Brittany, the young chef who aims to “touch the senses as well as the mind” is experiencing a return to his origins in a region that is dear to him by joining a beauty brand that shares his commitment to respecting Mother Earth.

By prioritising plants in his creation of delectable dishes throughout the seasons and by working with local, organic growers, Fabien is perpetuating the philosophy of the locale with flair. He invites us to his table to enjoy an experience combining nature, creativity, and gourmet dining.

THE KITCHEN GARDEN ON WATCH
At Les Jardins Sauvages, we keep an eye on Nature so as to take what she has to give… at the exact moment when she is ready to give it. Situated in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant, the kitchen garden is on watch all year round, to see what La Gacilly’s soil is producing in terms of fruit, vegetables and herbs.

When our chef does his buying he goes by this guide, his own inspiration, and one simple rule: if it does not grow here, it does not go onto the plate! Take a leisurely stroll up and down the paths before going in for your meal.

LOUNGE
The lounge bar is a pleasant place to sit for a while, no matter what the season. During summer, opening out onto the wooden terrace, it has a unique view over the kitchen garden, the works of art installed on the site and the fabulous sunsets.

In winter, what better than sipping an aromatic tea or infusion beside the fire, browsing through the works of art available in the library. Sometimes this convivial, relaxing room turns into a Piano Bar, adding a lively note to its cosy atmosphere.

MAISON YVES ROCHER
Just 600 metres from the Eco-Hotel is the Végétarium, there’s a welcoming atmosphere at the Végétarium restaurant that makes it a delight to eat here at any time of the day, either in the dining room or on the riverside terrace, in the heart of La Gacilly and the Festival of Photography.

The Végétarium Restaurant serves gourmet cuisine full of vitality and vegetarian dishes brimming with flavours, textures and colours, along with irresistible desserts and smoothies.

WATER, PLANTS, COMFORT… AND YOU

Can a Beauty Ritual pick up the perfume of something unique? Between June and September, the Cabin perched high in an ancient cypress tree provides a cosy setting for ritual beauty treatments created especially for this place.

FEEL GOOD… NATURALLY
Breath, Nature is here to greet you! At the Spa, just like everywhere else at La Grée des Landes, everything has been designed with the environment in mind.

The ambient temperature remains at 29° all year round due to the south-westerly orientation, enhanced thermal insulation and the overhanging roof. The pool is heated by wood, and all the water is recycled and used to water the green roofs.

TRX CIRCUIT TRAINING
Build muscle in the natural surroundings of La Grée des Landes. Circuit training involving different exercises based on body weight with straps made for muscle building, balance, fl exibility and stability of the abdominal muscles.

Improve your physical condition. Sports circuit made up of a sequence of various exercises to lose weight and maintain or build muscle.

LA GACILLY FESTIVAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY
All summer, La Gacilly’s gardens and alleyways and the walls of its houses turn into photo galleries dedicated to street art.

Between June and September every year, France’s biggest outdoor festival of photography presents ethical and humanistic images that have caught the eye of the great international photographers. The La Gacilly Festival of Photography attracts over 40,000 visitors to its 30 or so exhibitions.
