LOCATION
The Maison Champs Elysées has a rich past, being located in a town house from the Haussmann period, the Maison des Centraliens (a meeting place for students of the Ecole Centrale).
As the façade, retaining all its former first empire splendour and glory, before the main staircase goes to show, la Maison des Centraliens has been renovated in such a way that it is in keeping with the school’s heritage and the hotel’s specific architecture.
The hotel’s emblematic second empire Essling lounges, on the second floor, have been restored exactly as they were, the coving re-gilded with gold leaf by expert craftsmen. Today, both visitors and the school’s members alike, may discover a building that has been thoroughly updated and ready to take on the 21st century.
In addition to these renovations, the architect, Danièle Damon, has carried out a complete reconstruction. The restaurant now spans the downstairs floor and opens onto the garden and terrace looking over l’impasse Antin.
The recently constructed glass roof brings light and calm. The kitchen has been moved to the basement and rearranged according to current norms.
Premises on the third and fourth floors of the hotel were freed up to construct the 17 Couture rooms and suites, a task assigned to designers at Maison Margiela after winning a competition.
With their help, the House will become a cornerstone landmark, giving it spectacular notoriety. The fifth and sixth floors are now ready to welcome the Alumni from the Central school.
GILDED LOUNGE SUITE
Artistic pretense is given perfect expression in this suite, whose walls are covered with wallpaper made from black and white photographs of the gilded lounge on the second floor.
The perspectives and ornamental richness of the Napoleon III style are thereby reproduced in trompe-l’œil fashion throughout the suite. In the bedroom, a large bookcase filled with books covers the wall above the bed. In a continuation of the library theme, the walls of the WC are lined with a vast array of magazines.
WHITE COVER SUITE
The lower part of the classic Haussmann walls with picture rails, surrounds and plinths breaks with the upper part which consists of large panels of stretched white cotton.
The pictures, objects and furnishings are delicately covered with white cotton. A series of Ural alabaster lights on the bedroom ceiling become visible in the evening and frame a broad mirror, creating a magical setting.
SUPERIOR ROOMS
The Superior Boutique rooms are quiet and full of light with a view over the interior garden. Their light colours and uncluttered design create a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.

LA TABLE DU HUIT RESTAURANT
An Italian wind is blowing on La Table du Huit restaurant. In April, discover the new gourmet cuisine designed by our new Chef Sébastien Groubatch. His secret? His passion for seasonal products coming from his sunny region “senza moderazione”!
The decor has touches of the surreal, skilfully combining classic armchairs and wing chairs, oversized mouldings and pretend doors painted in the background and the graphic effect of material representing false ceilings and alcoves printed with an infinite series of cubes.
Passing through a large glass section, enjoy the walk through to the refreshing, relaxing atmosphere of the garden.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served in the magical setting of the “Table du 8” restaurant. It will give you all the energy you need for a splendid day of sightseeing or business in Paris.
BRUNCH WITH STYLE
The Table du Huit of the hotel La Maison Champs Elysées offers you brunch from 12pm to 3pm every Sunday. The classical décor generates an elegant and relaxing environment. Plan your perfect feast! Surrender to the temptation of the buffet created by the Chef and his team.

THE CIGAR BAR
This incredible space is a negative of the White Lounge, where white has become black. The traditional French paneling and dark oak floor seem to have been literally burnt. Subtle lighting is provided by small spots on the ceiling and champagne bottles with black lampshades.
Savour a cigar as you luxuriate in one of big dark brown leather armchairs that blend with the black flooring to create a voluptuous, intimate atmosphere, with a somewhat English style.
