ROOMS & SUITES
Le Barn, an architecture in harmony with nature. The lines of the former barns are at one with the horizon from dawn to dusk. The two buildings, typical of the region, have been completely renovated to accommodate (nearly) all our rooms.
Overlooking the paddocks and surrounding woodland, our Rooms and Suites combine light and space, sobriety and modernity. We have 3 rooms to people with reduced mobility.
Deluxe Rooms & Suites
Le Barn offers a range of different categories: Deluxe rooms, the Moulin Suite and the Le Barn Suite. All combine intimacy, comfort and a feeling of spaciousness in a subtle evocation of the large American farm.
Both totally charming and practical, certain Suites also offer a separate sitting room area adjoining the bedroom. The perfect place to meet with colleagues, or to get together with friends or family.
Superior Rooms
Our Superior rooms are open to the “great outdoors”, with a style that is intimate yet spacious. Inspired by that of the French countryside and by American Shaker furniture, their interior design is dominated by the use of natural materials, wood and textiles, raw yet comfortable and practical.
Classic Rooms
Our Classic rooms all look outwards, towards the meadows. Nature surrounds you, envelops you. With their extensive use of timber our interiors reflect the exterior, using simplicity to create a contemporary style.
All our Classic rooms are equipped with a small multi-purpose dresser and all offer a balcony or patio so you can enjoy breakfast as you watch nature awaken, or fade into dusk at the end of the day.
Le Vestiaire
Because Le Barn is also your home from home, we have created Le Vestiaire, a cloakroom with a difference, where you can leave things between two weekend visits, from one stay to the next. Your bedside book, your boots or your bike, the children’s roller skates or your golf clubs, all await your return with impatience.
GOURMET PLEASURES AND ACTIVITIES
Barn is the pleasure of the table. Around large wooden tables or under the beautiful glass roof, it is the assurance of sharing the fresh produce just brought in from the neighbouring vegetable garden.
For the past few months, the first harvests have been bringing the plates served and the fruit and vegetables produced closer together. If they don’t come from our vegetable garden, the produce comes from local producers.
Our Chef cooks in front of you in a spirit of conviviality and generosity. Throughout the year, we adapt our menu according to the products of the season (pink radish, asparagus, branch celery, broad beans, white onions, strawberries, cherries or rhubarb, etc).
Restaurant La Serre
At La Serre, the chef elaborates recipes and traditional dishes made with local products, from the markets and producers in the surrounding area. Large seasonal salads, blanquette of veal, potted chicken, leg of lamb and also stuffed chicken in the rotisserie follow one another on a constantly renewed menu.
The Bar
Large sofas and wide armchairs surround the impressive stove in the heart of the room. A meeting place, the bar is a central, nerve centre of the Barn. Depending on the time of day, you can share a coffee, a glass of wine, a beer or a cocktail.
In all seasons, the bar extends naturally towards the Atelier and the Winter Garden, or even on the large terrace where the echo of the forest echoes with the clink of the glasses.
The Vegetable Garden
The crops in the Barn’s vegetable garden are grown on living soil. We rely on biodiversity to create a balance between fauna and flora. With 2,500m², we produced 1.5 tons of fruit and vegetables this first year.
Throughout the year, workshops are offered with our market gardener to sow, plant & harvest our seasonal vegetables and fruit.
WELLNESS
Le Barn has its own Wellness centre set in a former mill. An area dedicated to your well-being with a sauna, hammam and outdoor hot tubs with a view towards the woods and the horse paddocks.
A masseur, offering treatments designed for pleasure as much as for therapy, are on hand to listen to your needs. A veritable Wellness centre in the heart of the forest, also open to non-residents. Open 7 days out of 7 from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.

Far more than just a fitness centre or traditional spa the Wellness centre at Le Barn is intended for all those whose busy day-to-day lives never leave them that all essential me-time.
Because it is so often difficult to make time to see an osteopath during the week, at Le Barn you can combine a relaxing weekend with outdoor activities, and allow our masseur to take care of you.

We offer 3 modular rooms that can accommodate from 15 to 80 guests. Each seminar room has its own high-tech equipment for optimal interactivity. The Paradise Of Horses
At the Barn, wherever you look, you see horses. A paradise for amateur or experienced riders, the Rambouillet forest seems to have come out of the ground to be explored on horseback.
Le Barn, which is attached to the Haras de la Cense, the Mecca of the Man-Horse relationship, offers its clients the possibility of personalised rides, as well as initiations to an approach to the animal on foot and on horseback, based on equestrian techniques as well as knowledge about the nature of the horse based on behavioural science: ethology.
Whether you are a beginner or an expert, alone, as a couple, with family or friends, there is a ‘horse experience’ made for you. Relaxation and sensations are there for you.

Behind The Woods, The Greens
Less than 2 km from the Barn, another world awakens, that of fairway, rough, bunker and greens lovers. The Golf du Château de Rochefort extends its wooded course over 5,627 metres, 18 holes that evoke the golf courses of Scotland.
Designed by the Englishman Fred Hawtree, it is open all year round. Between two stays, you can leave your clubs in our cloakroom.
Walking On The Footpaths
At the Barn, the first step out of one’s room is already synonymous with escape. Oak leaves, the scent of mushrooms, deer silhouettes: the forest is an enchanting world. Although there are countless possibilities for walks within the estate itself, the surroundings are criss-crossed by numerous short and long hiking trails.
The GR1®, which is known for circling the Ile-de-France region, winds its way between the Rambouillet forest and the Vallée de Chevreuse. Alternatively, the GR655®, the long path leading to Santiago de Compostela passes through the commune of Bonnelles.
For All Bikes…
The Barn likes cycling so much that he organizes a group start every Friday evening from the Porte Maillot. Lovers of muddy tracks or trails, slaloms in the forest or asphalt roads, the cyclists reach paradise on the edge of the Chevreuse valley.
The cycle path leading from Notre-Dame de Paris to Mont Saint-Michel (the Véloscénie) runs through the commune of Bonnelles. Between two stays, you also have the possibility to leave your bike in our cloakroom.
Running
The Barn provides access to routes around the hotel. There are 5, 10 and 15 kilometre loops in the forest for an early morning jog or for those who want to do some serious exercise.
The forest and its surroundings also offer many possibilities, including a remarkable 17 km trail on the Route des Quatre Châteaux. But don’t hesitate to get lost and discover other trails…
Outdoor Pleasures
The Barn is first and foremost nature. The vast meadows, the woods and the river are all organised or improvised playgrounds for walking, fishing and playing.
The Barn offers you petanque balls, badminton rackets, footballs, Frisbee, croquet mallets or mölkky pins, as well as a wide range of accessories and outdoor games. Fishing rods and bait are also available for fishing enthusiasts with the sole recommendation of releasing the fish back into the water.
Indoor Pleasures
There’s nothing like landing in front of a good film after a long horse ride or after a run in the forest. The Barn has a small projection room where you and your family can watch the great classics of French or foreign cinema (Louis de Funès, Charlie Chaplin, James Bond, musicals, etc. collections).
In the corner of the central stove, you can also browse through one of the many books in the house library while the children discover the trunk of disguises.
Unexpected Pleasures
Attend the roar of the deer in the early morning mist, go mushroom picking, enjoy breakfast on a nomadic table, read, hidden, in a hut coiled on a large oak tree, fall asleep in a hammock stretched between two birch trees, our unusual activities follow the desires and the seasons.
