The warm colors of wood and stone blend perfectly with the chestnut and olive trees surrounding the property, rendering the hotel a precious jewel of pure Tuscan experience. In the seasonal garden, which enjoys an awe-inspiring view of the countryside and frames the two farmhouses, a swimming pool and a heated hydro-massage tub are placed overlooking the valley for your personal relaxation and well-being.

THE HISTORY
It is in the 17th century the last record of the watchtower which was previously located here – as part of the commanding position of observation above the valley. After the partial destruction of the medieval tower in the aftermath of a battle, the structure was converted in to a convent which was later abandoned.

In the 19th century it became a private residence and the owner commissioned the construction of a second building to give as a gift to the woman he loved. At the end of the 20th century the property passed to the family Benini Galeffi, the current owners, who recently converted the two ruined structures into a high quality experience Relais.

Every day our resident Chef creates his dishes with local, fresh and organic ingredients for a sensorial experience. We put the well-being of our clients first with a special focus on the quality of our hospitality to give them a unique experience that will rejuvenate body and mind.

THE SUITES
11 unique Suites meticulously decorated with antique and handcrafted furniture made by local artisans. Every space is in complete harmony with the natural views glimpsed from every window. A blend of Tuscan tradition and modern comfort characterize our suites, each complete with a stone fireplace, terracotta tiled floor and beamed ceilings.

Hand decorated by the Florentine artist, Francesca Guicciardini, to give the rooms a welcoming atmosphere with a sense of serenity to make our guests feel immersed in the real Tuscan experience. The perfect place for those looking to relax and rejuvenate themselves.

SUITE I PINI
Located on the first floor of the bigger farmhouse, this suite is spacious and bright and has an incredible view of the surrounding Valdarno and Chianti valley. With an entrance, sitting room and bedroom – it is the ideal solution for family and friends, hosting up to four people.

The walls are decorated in pastel colors with golden geometric motifs giving the space a refined and relaxing touch. The hydro-massage tub in the bathroom overlooks the woods, here you can abandon yourself to your personal well-being.

SUITE I CASTAGNI
This is one of the most spacious suites, located on the ground floor of the larger farmhouse. It has an independent entrance from the garden overlooking the swimming pool and the Valdarno valley. The walls are decorated in a medieval checkerboard pattern in a warm yellow hue enclosing a beautiful antique wooden bed.

Down a few steps, is the access to the bathroom which is decorated in stone, with a vaulted ceiling reminiscent of a grotto. Here is the hydro-massage tub where you can rejuvenate yourself while being bathed in the light from the stone slit window.

SUITE I CORBEZZOLI
This suite, located on the first floor of the larger farmhouse, has a split level where the bathroom is. The decorated walls in a soft warm yellow lozenge pattern combined with the wonderful view of the surrounding countryside make te space particularly pleasant.

A wrought iron four poster bed in the center of the room creates a sense of peace and harmony. The tucked away bathroom is welcoming and spacious with a hydro-massage tub to treat yourself to a moment of complete abandonment and dedication.

SUITE LE GINESTRE
This Suite is located on the second floor of the larger farmhouse it overlooks the valley and thanks to the presence of three windows has plenty of natural light.

The attention to detail and the large hydro-massage tub with a splendid view of the countryside are just a few features of the room which make it particularly pleasant and welcoming. A warm yellow reminiscent of the Scotch Broom flower permeates the Suite making it a refined and elegant space, great to relax.

RESTAURANT
The quality and freshness of the seasonal ingredients carefully chosen by our resident Chef are the base of the refined dishes as reinterpretations of the best Tuscan culinary tradition. Every combination is meticulously studied to engage all 5 senses in a sensorial experience of delight.

The dining room, hosted in the winter garden, is an intimate and romantic space in which no detail has been spared. The glass walls afford views of the chestnut and cherry trees surrounding the property – while, if you look up to the ceiling – a starry sky will accompany your evenings.

FOOD EXPERIENCE
Our resident Chef meticulously creates dishes from the best Tuscan culinary tradition blending it with modern trends. In line with our philosophy, we use only seasonal ingredients, local and organically grown. The menu is daily defined on the base of the selected ingredients by the Chef, following the rhythm of nature and offering vegan and vegetarian options along with meat and fish based dishes.

We proudly state that our wine list consists of carefully selected Tuscan wines all of which produced in the respect of the environment and the best winemaking tradition. This is our secret, turning conviviality into an occasion to rediscover the link between territory and tradition through authentic and real flavors, in order to nurture body and soul.

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL IGP
Almost 4,000 olive trees are spread out in the olive yards around the hillsides of the property facing south-east at 620 meters above sea level. A unique and special position among one of the highest in the Chianti area. An early harvest before the olives completely ripen makes our organic oil what it is – made in pure Tuscan tradition and superior to others.

Made from the traditional blend of four different types of olives – Pendolino, Leccino, Frantoio and Moraiolo – it is the product of hand-picked and cold pressed olives. It is called Il Cortile di Pratolino and it is our IGP extra-virgin organic olive oil.
