On a private island on the banks of the Seine, the hotel is located just 1 hour from Paris and Deauville and 30 minutes from Rouen . THE HISTORY
In love or curious about Norman history? Come and stay in our Mill, rich with several centuries of life and now converted into a superb charming hotel.
The first traces of the Moulin de Connelles date back to September 6, 1683, which makes this property a vestige of the Norman past. The building, the decor, the view and the interiors will transport you to a timeless experience. In the 17th century, the building was a hanging wheel mill exclusively intended to grind the wheat of the vassals of the Barony.
In 1834, the mill became the property of Jean-Louis Vallet, Mayor of the commune of Connelles. Around 1905, it was built as a mansion. In 1900, the mechanism of the mill was finally dismantled; it then definitively loses its function as a wheat mill.
Since 1683, when the mill was first built, several owners have succeeded and transformed its architecture, which today gives it a very harmonious Anglo-Norman style. Bought in 1989 by Hubert PETITEAU, it was completely renovated and taken over by his daughter Karine, who takes care of it today with passion.
ACCOMMODATION
Each of the 12 rooms and suites is unique and authentic. Oak woodwork, stretched fabrics, antique furniture combine to create an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The rooms are distributed on the 1st and 2nd floor of our house. Due to its age, the Moulin de Connelles does not have a lift. Our team will take care of your luggage. Some rooms have a balneotherapy bath.
SUITES
Luxurious, elegant and comfortable rooms, our suites are carefully decorated with stylish furniture, precious stretched fabrics and beautiful oak woodwork. You can also admire majestic chandeliers there, and enjoy small balconies overlooking the Seine, a reading room or even large private two-seater jacuzzis.

With a small lounge area , a balcony or a jacuzzi , the Junior Suites invite you to relax and disconnect. They all offer an intimate atmosphere with breathtaking views of the arm of the Seine or the park.
“Mint”, flirtatious and romantic with an alcove balcony, “Licorice”, resolutely modern with a Murano chandelier, its glass cube as a bathroom with shower and double private jacuzzi. “Prune” , the warm one, with its jacuzzi nestled in a turret, its small reading room and its cozy bedroom in purple tones.

The Moulin team welcomes you in an elegant and warm setting. The dining room, ideally located on the water, enjoys an exceptional view of the surrounding nature.
You will dine by candlelight in an intimate room with blond oak paneling, surrounded by a collection of old clocks, an exhibition of paintings, and sumptuous Baccarat crystal chandeliers. Dine in a chic and relaxed atmosphere.
A glass of Champagne, a cocktail or a craft beer before sitting down to eat? Dinner at Moulin de Connelles is served in the elegant dining room or on the glass-enclosed veranda overlooking the Seine. The ideal place for a romantic dinner.
