The 4-star Liassidi Palace Hotel occupies a 15th century palazzo overlooking one of Venice’s finest old canals, the Rio di San Lorenzo ‘dei Greci’. A warm welcome awaits you from the staff, with a 24-hour “clef d’or” concierge service ready to respond to your every need.
You’ll be captivated as soon as you step into the Zorzi-Liassidi Palazzo and experience the grand festival and concert hall on the upper floor, the magnificent internal courtyard and the sumptuous furnishings that hit the perfect balance between contemporary design and 18th century Venice; a fascinating blend that pervades the atmosphere throughout the hotel.
Experience the splendour of high ceilings with exposed beams and Murano glass chandeliers, the cultured atmosphere of exquisite furnishings and the magnificent “esafora” six-light window that looks out over the San Lorenzo canal. The entrance on the ground floor is accessible directly from the canal.
Breakfast is a sumptuous buffet of sweet and savoury specialities, served in two elegant dining rooms on the ground floor overlooking the canal. You can also relax and enjoy a traditional Venetian ‘spritz’ aperitif in the Liassidi bar, where our professional bar staff will serve you with a selection of international long drinks and cocktails to soothing background music, often played live by local artists.
The impressive lounge room on the upper ground floor features several reproductions of masterpieces of the Venetian school. There are also two quiet areas for business meetings and a large conference hall. The hotel is equipped with a lift and facilities to allow disabled access to every part of the building.
Situated at the foot of the Ponte dei Greci bridge near the Riva degli Schiavoni, the hotel is not far from Piazza San Marco, the perfect position at the heart of ‘real’ Venice in an enviably peaceful spot away from the well-trodden tourist routes, yet within walking distance of the city’s shopping district.
The Liassidi Hotel is located on the border between the Castello and San Marco districts in Venice. It’s also close to the city’s main sightseeing attractions and the Castello and Arsenale districts where the famous Venice Biennale is held.
Walking along the Riva degli Schiavoni (2 minutes away) you’ll see the San Marco basin, an amazing treasure chest of monumental masterpieces scattered along the banks like precious stones: the church on the San Giorgio island, the Chiesa della Madonna della Salute and Chiesa della Redentore.
Further along from this breath-taking vista you’ll come to the Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace) and Piazza San Marco (St Mark’s Square) – “the world’s finest drawing room” dominated by the extraordinary façade and bell tower of the Basilica.
Passing under the Torre dell’Orologio (clock tower) towards the Rialto, you come to the Calle delle Mercerie, a shopping district with a rich variety of merchandise on offer, from Murano glass to leather goods and elegant international designer boutiques.
Below the famous bridge of the same name, the Rialto district with its fish market and small shops is a bustling area; after dark the Erbaria hot spots overlooking the Grand Canal come to life with young people who meet up in the bars and clubs to animate the nighttime scene.
ROOMS & SUITES
The captivating rooms at the 4-star Liassidi Palace Hotel are distributed over five floors. All are distinguished by their generous size and distinctive furnishing style that hits the perfect balance between contemporary design and 18th century Venice, making this one of the most accommodating and exclusive boutique hotels in Venice.
A warm, inviting atmosphere is created with light oak and Italian walnut furniture, matched with skilful window decoration in sumptuous textiles and pleasingly combined with contemporary and 18th century design pieces and oil-on-canvas reproductions of famous works by Gustav Klimt, Tamara de Lempicka, Amedeo Modigliani, Paul Gauguin, Andy Warhol, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and others.
All the rooms look out over the canal. Some have inestimable views of the San Marco basin and the church on the island of San Giorgio, and others of the beautiful church of San Giorgio dei Greci, the internal courtyard garden, or typical Venetian canal scenery.
