Locanda Le Piazze, your 4-star luxury hotel in Tuscany, is a former farmhouse dating back to 1540. It sits among the soft rolling hills of the town of Castellina in Chianti, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and cypresses trees.

Since acquiring the hotel in the spring of 2013, the owners have set out to create an exceptional boutique hotel, based on the property’s genuine historic charm.

The building’s interior and the grounds have been renovated extensively, drawing on the skills and experience of talented local artisans and craftsmen. The result is simple elegance; a stylish yet casual environment to help guests break free from daily toils and pressures.

Being pampered in an inviting, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere, while indulging in the best of food and wine that Chianti and Tuscany offer is truly a refreshing experience to be pampered in.

ROOMS & SUITES
Our twenty, comfortably furnished, air-conditioned room are each individually-decorated. All rooms are en-suite and have been renovated with comfort, elegance, and every day-life in mind. All rooms are non-smoking.

We welcome children age 14 and older. Wi-Fi is available in public areas. We cannot guarantee perfect Wi-Fi coverage due to the weak signal in this area. We are small-dog-friendly on request, as we have a limited number of rooms available. We accept all major credit cards.

EXECUTIVE SUITE
Are the most spacious rooms of the structure. Located on the ground floor, they are equipped with a large private patio with sun loungers, table and chairs where you can spend pleasant moments of rest.

All rooms have air conditioning , ceiling fan, flat screen television (with international channels), safe and mini-bar. The bathrooms have been recently renovated have spacious walk-in shower .

The historic charm of our 1540’s farmhouseis the perfect settingfor a romantic Tuscan wedding. The backdrop will make the most beautiful wedding photos imaginable, but not nearly as beautiful as the memories you will carry with you “till death do us part”.

Locanda Le Piazze is the perfect choice for a destination wedding, with its 20 luxurious en-suites there is plenty of room to accommodate all of your wedding guests.

Down to the most minute detail, our wedding planner will help you create the ceremony and reception of your dreams. Hold your bridal shower right here on the terrace, enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine by the pool, and pamper yourself in the spa-like setting.

PRIVATE EVENTS
Whether it’s a family reunion, holiday party, retirement dinner, baby shower, graduation celebration, or romantic get-a-way, book your next gathering with us. Enjoy cocktail/receptions outside on the terrace for a party of 60 people, or indoors for a party of 30 people. Sit down to a luxurious fine dining experience at our gourmet restaurant, Tavola Di Guido.

Enjoy an after-dinner cocktail on the terrace or intermingle around our well-stocked honesty bar. Not looking for a full four-course meal? Join us for a light lunch, available from 12:30-2:00 pm, and spend the afternoon relaxing by the fireplace with a glass of wine.

We can accommodate a business conference of up to 40 people and we provide all essential business conference equipment, including projector, big screen, sound equipment, flip charts, and ink pens (which work!).

The hotel’s relaxing environment balances tradition and modernity. The style is unique – pure, organic, holistic, and “makes your soul happy”, as one guest put it. Natural materials such as linens, reclaimed wood, European antiques, and objects gathered from the owners’ cherished travels around the world make up this extraordinary setting.

The gardens surrounding the hotel have been re-designed and re-planted. A new terrace overlooking vineyards and open countryside has created a beautiful setting for the swimming pool, with ample space for sunbathing or simply relaxing in the shade.

TAVOLA DI GUIDO RESTAURANT
At TAVOLA DI GUIDO, our garden-terrace restaurant for guests and visitors. This welcoming and relaxed setting is ideal for enjoying his interpretations of classic Italian dishes and, of course, sampling a wide selection of the best Tuscan and Italian wines.

On Summer days, the countryside views are stunning, while in the evenings candles and stars add to the romance of the setting. Inside a wood fire takes the chill off cooler evening and winter days.

Guido decided to move back to a region he is so attached to Tuscany. He chose to take on a new project as the Executive Chef of the Restaurant TAVOLA DI GUIDO at the boutique hotel of Locanda Le Piazze, Castellina in Chianti, which opened to the public in Summer 2013.

Guido was searching for a project that would involve him from the start so that he could apply his vision. In his kitchen TAVOLA DI GUIDO, he explores many of the new diet’s requirements like vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free to please all his guests’ palates.
